Lady GaGa Talks About Rock Bottom And How She Still Does Coke

You know, a lot of actors and musicians will talk about drug use and always say it is in the past. I am trying to remember when someone admitted to a national magazine that they still do coke. Maybe it is a publicity thing, but Lady GaGa says in an interview in the new Vanity Fair that she still occasionally does cocaine. And by occasionally she says a few times a year. Hmm, what exactly is a few times a year?

She says she does not condone drug use and does not want her fans thinking they have to do it to be cool or to reach their goals, it is just something she does. Hmmm. To me it seems a little odd when you consider that in the interview she also says that she hit rock bottom once and almost went to rehab, but decided to go to her grandmother's house instead. Huh?

Oh, and if you are thinking she went there to dry out, it must have been the quickest recovery ever because she says she was fine within one day.

"I hit rock bottom, and it was enough to send a person over the edge. My mother knew the truth about that day, and she screamed so loud on the other end of the phone, I'll never forget it. And she said, 'I'm coming to get you.'" Instead of going to rehab, the singer went to her 82-year-old grandmother’s house in West Virginia. "I cried," Gaga recalls. "I told her I thought my life was over and I have no hope and I've worked so hard, and I knew I was good. What would I do now? And she said, 'I'm gonna let you cry for a few more hours. And then after those few hours are up, you're gonna stop crying, you're gonna pick yourself up, you're gonna go back to New York, and you're gonna kick some a--.'"

Someone want to explain that one to me? Is it really rock bottom if you are fine in a couple of hours? To me this seems like publicity.
