Jennifer Aniston Makes Herself The Story Even When She Is Not
Apparently Jennifer Aniston will do anything to make sure she is the center of the universe. This includes trying to glom into a story in which she is not really even a part. Is glom a word? It feels like it should be. Anyway, you may have read today that a hair stylist to the stars was arrested yesterday and charged with two counts of fraud. The fraud had occurred during the past year. One year. She would get credit card information from clients and then made unauthorized charges. She allegedly got Liv Tyler for $214,000 in just five months. The total amount of the crime was about $280,000 in the past year. Again, only one year.
Now, in addition to Liv Tyler, the owner had lots of other celebrity clients which were named in court papers. It does not mean they were victims, just clients. Cher is one who has said she is named in court papers but never had any money taken or unauthorized charges.
Jennifer Aniston is also named in the court papers and she was on Good Morning America this morning and she said, "We had a situation that was not cool so I just stopped going to her," Aniston said. "I knew something like this would eventually happen because there's no way you can get away with that. It's terrible." She makes it sound like it was really recently she stopped going but she stopped going to this hair stylist five years ago. Plus, if something did happen that was shady why didn't she do something about it then or make sure people stopped going to see the hair stylist. According to the court papers there were only two people who seemed to have suffered losses. One person for $65,000 and the rest was Liv Tyler. The person who got hit for $65,000 was the person who gave all the names that ended up in the papers like Jennifer Aniston and Cher and Melanie Griffith.
While Jennifer may certainly have been screwed over by this hair stylist, if I was on GMA this morning I would have asked her how come she did not do anything about it if she was so certain something like this would happen. Call her on it. But they didn't because they don't want Jennifer to look bad or feel bad or do anything that might upset her.
Any chance you don't like Aniston?!!
ReplyDeletePoor Liv Tyler. I wonder what sob story this woman made up. I've got 5 bucks on a sick child.
ReplyDeleteoh enty...you're making too much out of her comment. i saw the interview and it was no biggie. she glossed over it and took the attn back to the film she was there to plug. no harm, no foul.
ReplyDeletebesides, maybe the reason they didn't delve into it more and ask deeper Qs was b/c they saw SHE didn't make a big deal out of it. she said she stopped going to said hairdresser. end of story. i get it you don't like her, but come on.
Sounds like they didn't know she had their credit card number. Otherwise, how could it be fraud?
ReplyDeleteI thought she was a skin care expert...
ReplyDelete@sunnyside
ReplyDeleteCould be fraud if they gave money thinking it would be given to a charity or something along those lines.
I'm not 100% sure, I'd have to check my school books, but that's how I read it.
Who cares? You obviously don't like JA but you're making too big deal out of this. News flash, all celebrities think they are the center of the universe.
ReplyDeleteEnt, glom and glommer are words in my family.
ReplyDeleteI heard on the news this lady charged $3,000 to $5,000 for a friggin' facial. After seeing a pre-photoshopped picture of Jen on another website this morning, I think she needs a refund.
Don't see the big deal about this at all... Not even a little bit.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with everyone else. You must carry some strong disdain for Jennifer because that was the weakest. post. Ever.

ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is, how did it take Liv Tyler 5 months to realize her card was being drained?
ReplyDeleteSorry, but Tyra Banks is the queen of "making it all about her." Anniston doesn't come close.
ReplyDeletewhy all the JA hate?? just don't get it. it is not like she is the only person involved, it doesn't look like the others did anything about it, either.
ReplyDeleteshe rubs me the wrong way and i was a big rachel fan.
ReplyDelete"not cool." lol.
ITA with califblondy!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Pookie.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't go on GMA JUST to talk about it, she was there to plug The Switch. I'm sure THEY brought it up, not her. The only thing I disliked was the use of "uncool" which I knew a million other bloggers were going to use as headlines (just as they did w/ the "uncool" Angelina article from years back).
ReplyDeleteI still love her, sorry Enty! :)
Let's talk about how Angelina claims to make all 6 kids lunches. Please.
Slow news day Ent? The JA post was really weak. I expected better of you.
ReplyDeleteIs Jax writing some of these for Enty? Maybe Jax is the "female voice" some people say they sense behind some of the stories posted here.
ReplyDeleteI liked Jennifer Aniston enough from her days as Rachel to call myself a fan although I freely admit I haven't seen most of her movies. I don't think she deserves all the hatin'. She needs to get out of her rut of picking bad movie roles.
In yesterday's Salon review of Aniston's latest movie "The Switch", movie critic Andrew O'Hehir notes, "Her more serious problem is that she lacks a clear métier: Aniston is a gifted comedienne best suited for screwballish character roles, but she seems compelled by career forces -- managers, money, vanity; who knows? -- to play the romantic lead in a series of unremittingly mediocre love stories."
If you care to, you can read the whole review here:
