Jane Lynch & Lea Michele Have Different Views Towards Fans

At the FOX Emmy party Sunday night, most of the Glee cast sat together. Well, Lea Michele sat anyway. According to E!, Lea spent the whole night sucking face with her boyfriend while being protected by a bodyguard. No one else in the cast had a bodyguard. I'm not sure why Lea Michele even has a bodyguard. If she was there with her boyfriend in a security controlled party, one thinks she would be pretty safe.

Even though she was practically wearing a sign that told fans to f**k off, some did try and approach. The bodyguard would tap Lea on her shoulder and ask if it was ok for the fans to talk to her. She always said no. Much too busy I guess.

Contrast that with Jane Lynch who walked around the room and took photos and signed autographs and was everywhere at once for everyone. Hmm, I wonder why Jane is so popular and has had a long career and why Lea will probably be begging those same fans to pay her $20 for an autographed picture at a Glee convention 20 years from now.

  3. 20 years? That's optimistic. I'd be surprised if in 10 years time someone is nostalgic for that series.

  5. Isn't that what she did last year at one of these award show after parties? I recall she spent the evening making out with her boyfriend then totally was a biotch to a celebrity photographer....some people never learn.

  6. Never even heard of Lea Michele, but she sounds like a total bitch and needs to learn not to bite the hand that feeds her.

Jane Lynch on the other hand is a total class act, and I adore her.

  7. No Sue Ellen, that is one of her castmates from Glee

  8. Thanks Montana. I was going to say her boyfriend looks gay.

  9. Sue - Yep. He is gay on the show and in real life.

Jane won an Emmy. Lea didn't. This bitch needs to get over herself.

The girl has an attitude which in turn she will regret.

  11. Love Jane. Thought her dress was gorgeous. I see a long career for her.

  12. Not that I want to defend Lea Michele (ick) but is it possible the bodyguard was for the necklace she was wearing? I heard it was very pricey.

Either way, she's a diva and will forever be typecast as Rachel from Glee.

  13. @ Sue Ellen
No, that is Chris Colfer who is also on Glee and he is gay. Here is a picture of her bf who looks like a creep. He is on Broadway and I've read that he is quite the douchebag just like his beloved Lea.

  14. That's a shame. She truly has a beautiful voice. WOW!
    Way to assure your shelflife.

  15. What a bitch. I truly can't stand her. Jane, however, is THE SHIT.

  16. I got sooooo sick of hearing that it was her birthday on the red carpet. So yeah, it's your birthday...why sit in a corner and hate on everyone if you want them to care that it is your birthday??

  17. Michael Jackson died on my birthday. Thanks a lot asshole.
Anyway, maybe she was trying to excuse her behaviour by saying that? Oh, it was her bday, let it slide?

  18. I'm certainly no fan of Lea's but perhaps just because you see a celebrity that you admire doesn't mean that they owe you (a stranger) a favor.

Why couldn't the fans just enjoy being in the presence of the celebrities without gushing and asking for autographs etc.?

  19. You'd think she would be working on her image after being publicly outed by Ted as the Blind about a diva bitch. Chick's got pipes, but she has a lot to learn about longevity in Hollywood.

On a related note, I and my bf have met two celebs in Vancouver in the last two weeks, and neither could have been more gracious.

Saw Jared Padalecki at Glen Gary Glennross and he was cool about taking a picture with me and shook my bf's hand. He was mingling pretty freely with everyone in the lobby, which is why I felt it would be okay to approach and ask.
Then last night we saw Lou Diamond Phillips at a restaurant here. He and his family weren't eating, so my bf approached and just said he wanted to tell him he was a fan. Phillips then asked him his name, shook his hand and introduced him to his wife and daughter, then told him goodbye by NAME on our way out. That's how you get and keep fans.

  20. That's her reputation on Broadway, too. Bodyguard probably was for her jewelry, but Jane Lynch was wearing some major bling (a fabulous brooch, among other things) and somehow didn't need to get her visitors screened.

In all fairness, tho -- Michele is reportedly standing up for the rest of the cast for royalties for their "Glee" recordings on Sony. She's got her own solo Sony deal, but she has gone on record for the rest of the crew.

  21. Good, I hope she causes her own demise.

  22. And hopefully she'll learn something 20 years from now and won't be the same asshole when she's stuck at Glee conventions.

Enty's post reminds me of the time I met (or was more dissed) by a former professional wrestler who goes by the name of Virgil three years ago at this wrestling convention.

See, in the pro-wrestling world Virgil would have been considered maybe C-list at best even 25 years ago when he was at the peak of his wrestling fame.

Don't know how is attitude was then, but I can say his attitude three years ago was nothing but sh*tty. I ran up to his table full of my happy pro-wrestling childhood memories and was all "OMG, Virgil, Ted Dibiase used to do you dirty, but I always thought your were cool!" He didn't even look in my direction and when I was like, "don't I even get a hello"...remember this was at a pro-wrestling convention..it wasn't like I ran into him on the street and was bugging...he had a freaking table set up! He still would not look in my direction and pointed at a sign that said $20 for autographed pictures or some sh*t. Anyways, I was just like whatever dude...your freaking Virgil for crying out loud. There's really no need to be like that. And then I totally understood why he never really had much more success then he did. On the other hand, I can say I have been lucky enough to meet both Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair (woooo!) on seperate occasions and they couldn't have been more nice or classier to a life-long wrestling fan like myself.

But yea, people like Virgil and Lea dig thier own graves. Screw them and they can keep thier nastiness to themselves.

  23. Rocketqueen--I had the same experience w/ Lou Diamond Phillips back in the 90's when he was starring in the Broadway revival of "The King and I." He was really, really good, btw. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Anyway, there were about 30 fans waiting outside the stage door, and he came out and spoke to everyone who wanted to, signed everything, took pictures, and even recorded an answering machine message for some dude. LDP was incredibly gracious, sweet, funny, and enthusiastic. He went out of his way to make a 'wow' experience for some tourists on a Thursday night. I will always love him for that.

It's funny that it doesn't occur to this Lea character that the fans at an Emmy party might just work in the industry, or be the wives or kids of someone important. Word gets around, and she's an idiot.

  24. She'd be smart to remember that she's just singing--not saving the world

  25. I agree with everyone else - if this is true and this is how she behaved, she's an idiot. If you don't want to deal with people, that's fine, but then don't go to industry functions! Maybe she was pissed that she didn't win anything. Was she nominated?

  26. Jane Lynch has been around long enough to know what supports her career. She's also a very kind lady in general. Little Miss Fifteen Minutes, on the other hand, thinks she's all that and Jesus Christ in one. No celebrity owes it to anyone to act like a human being, but when they do, it says even more about them than their talent ever could.

    ReplyDelete
  27. HarrietHellfire-- her contract may require her to appear at industry award functions if the show is nominated. And/or she figured out that she'd get a lot of pics and press if she did.

  28. I find it increasingly difficult to divorce an artist's personality from their work. I've passed up movies and music because I don't like the person (or at least what I know of them) and as a result don't like their work, and, if this continues, I'm sure many of her current fans will feel the same way.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't watch Glee but I SO want to like this woman because she does a lot of work for gay rights and animal rights, but there are only so many times you hear someone's an evil stuck up diva before you start to wonder if there's something to it...

  30. What is up with this chick liking to publically make out with her boyfriend AND be a bitch to people at public events? Wasn't she making out w/ the bf the last time she got into w/ the photographer?

She really needs to take a lead from Jane Lynch. I'd LOVE to hear what she has to say about Lea's behavior.

    ReplyDelete
  31. To be honest I don't think she's as much of a bitch as people like to make out. Lea always seems like a nice person in interviews, and the cast seem to adore her, so I don't know.

As for making out with the bf. There's alot of speculation about both their sexuality so maybe they're both trying to "prove" otherwise?

It's *her* hand that feeds the other not the other round.
