Don't Mess With Naya Rivera

Apparently Naya Rivera and Mark Salling have different ideas about what their relationship was like. Naya thought the couple was exclusive so when she heard about Mark dating and having sex with other women, she got just a little upset. Well, more than a little. She didn't take all his clothes and burn them in the driveway, but she did key his brand new car, and dumped eggs and dog food all over it.

The pair have gone out frequently in the past, but as one of Mark's friends told US Weekly, “He’s on top of the world right now and living it up. Besides, it’s hard to call it infidelity when they weren’t officially together!” So, Mark is being a horndog which kind of figures. It is always interesting about the definition of officially together. At what point are you officially together? What makes it official? Do you actually have to say that you are together? When is it implied? Judging by how upset Naya became I am guessing she thought it was official and Mark thought it was just some fun.

  1. you are officially together when he intro's you as his girlfriend or you had the "talk." don't assume anything ladies and if you are unsure-ask. i'd rather a quick let down than a long drawn out "you f-cking cheater!"

  3. Dang; and here I thought I had been "getting with the times" lately (watching more TV, etc.) but I have neither seen these peoples' faces before nor heard or read their names!

*going back under my rock now*

  4. Until the moment that you discuss exclusivity with someone you're dating, YOU ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE. Wish more people realized that!

And Mark Salling...no idea why I find him so attractive. I would hit it. HARD.

  5. You are official when it has been discussed. If u don't talk about it then people are free to do what they want. I can't imagine hanging out with someone for months and the topic never coming up. Talk about it so situations like this don't happen. Never imply that u are a couple, ALWAYS DISCUSS IT.

  6. Bet things are awkward on the Glee set at the moment...

  7. Absolutely, you need to discuss it. If the guy doesn't want to be exclusive, you need to know sooner rather than later so you can move on.

  8. Isn't he Gay? Maybe that's what he failed to tell her?

She might have a hard time trying to date another guy now. Men can be protective when it comes to their cars.

  9. Gay? no way, that boy is a horny for the ladies.

just realized she is from Glee also...ouch.

  10. Sylvia: "Who are they?"

LOL! I was thinking the same thing.

  11. If at least one of you is young and hot and famous just assume you are NOT exclusive.

  12. That sounds exactly like something her character on the show would do.

  13. I'd say Salling is the one definite straight guy on Glee. The rest could go either way, not that there's anything wrong with that.

  14. I hope that she realizes that this is very common in Hollywood and that if she doesn't want to lose her sanity, she should get used to it. I'm not saying that it's right by any means, but it's just how it is.

  16. What a mess.

One point they both forgot: Never date your co-workers.

Yeah, I'd say its probably very uncomfy on the set of GLEE right now.

  17. Based on Marks (@Mark_Salling) tweets including a clever pic with Naya, I doubt this story is true.

  18. i find it amusing that i read this story...all the while having absolutely NO CLUE who these people were....hahahaha, i don't know why i find that so funny!

  19. This is why couples must must MUST have the DTR discussion (Determine The Relationship) after a few weeks.

  20. If they never did, then they weren't really a couple. Yes, you do have to say it and acknowledge it. Implication means you ASSUME, and you should never ASSUME.

  23. Not really surprised. There have been rumours they were dating, but nothing official - I'm guessing that was intentional on his part, but who knows?
Salling was the most popular guess for the blind about the guy who burned a high school girlfriend hard, right? Once a douchebag, often a douchebag.
But like Adventurous Kate - I'd also hit it hard. I'd forgo the whole "are we in a relationship" talk altogether ;)

  24. Eggs are awful if they dry, but the dog food cracked me up. Is she saying he is a "dog"?

  25. YES to Jax and those who followed.

I live in NYC and "the talk" is the deal. I'm pretty certain that's not a New York thing either.

It's called "the talk" and once you have it, you're exclusive.

I doubt she was delusional on this one, he sounds like another good-looking hornbag.

  26. It's best to have the talk, but sometimes it isn't necessary if both people are only into each other. My friend's been dating this guy for months and they never had the talk (her choice). Only recently did he call her his girlfriend in front of their friends. I guess that makes them official.

And why does it have to be for the girl to start the talk? My boyfriend actually initiated the talk. Or maybe it was me. Who knows. Anyway, I'm on Naya's side. Mark's a coward for not telling Naya that he wants to peruse his options.

  27. The golden rule in Hollyweird is that you are together till one of you, stars rises, then we are just casual

  28. I can't help but love, love, LOVE Mark Salling.

  29. In light of their appearance together last night at the Emmy Awards, this seems like just a rumor.
