Charlie Sheen Makes His Own Sentence
You know you got a great deal when your lawyer even tells the press that Charlie Sheen got a great sentence. It also kind of helps when the abuser's lawyer also represents the victim. Can you imagine if everyone who committed a crime got to make their own sentence and got to decide how much jail they should serve or where they should serve it? That is what happened here. Charlie managed to get sentenced to 30 days in rehab which he has already completed. Three months of unsupervised probation which means he does not need to report to anyone and as long as he is not arrested in three months it is over. Oh, and he also has to go through anger management training which he already completed. If he had taken a class on Hungarian cabinet making recently he probably would have sentenced himself to that too.
If anyone ever had any hope that the justice system is even for people this should give you an example of how it is not. I bet you can look at every domestic violence case in Aspen over the past five years and you will never find one that got to make their own sentence. I also bet none of them got sentenced to a rehab facility.
When Charlie Sheen entered his plea, this is what he said. "Guilty as charged your honor." Asked why he was submitting that plea, Sheen replied, "Because I'm guilty." He then smirked and probably gave a silent high five to his lawyer. Outside the courtroom he said, "I'm very grateful to the court and to the people of Pitkin County. I look forward to complying with the court's decision, getting on with my life and putting this behind me." I bet he is grateful. The a-hole.
He and Lindsay Lohan would be a match made in heaven. Or hell, take your pick.
ReplyDeletethe joys of white maledom. beat your wives, mess around with underage girl. no jail cell.
ReplyDeleteJust sad.
ReplyDeleteEnty's last sentence along with the picture sums everything up.
ReplyDeleteNot surprised. Had this been a "regular joe" he would have been thrown under the jail. AAhhh...the perks of being a celeb.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it in Aspen where Andy Williams ex-wife, Claudine something, shot and killed her ski instructor boyfriend in a jealous rage and only spent a month in the local jail before being released?
ReplyDeleteThe rich do have their playgrounds well organized and maintained.
Wasn't Kobe in Colorado when he sodomized that poor girl? I guess a get out of jail free pass isn't just for the white guys.
ReplyDeleteFame... ain't always a bitch.
Don't ever tell me women and children have ANY value in this society.
ReplyDeleteya that poor girl who refused to testify and was eventually paid off after bragging to her friends about the money she was gonna make off a NBA player?
ReplyDeleteya, poor girl.
__-__=__, of course women have value in this society - they are the baby-making machines! *barf*
ReplyDeleteGOD, I hate this asshole with a fire of 1000 suns.
ReplyDeleteMCH....what you said.
ReplyDelete@jax - you don't believe Kobe raped that girl?!

ReplyDeleteTo offset some of California's financial woes, why not set up Alcatraz as a Celebrity Prison? That way, the normal prisons wouldn't have to answer to the public about special treatment or deal with paparazzi and floods of mail.
ReplyDeleteThe law-breaking, arrogant celebs could be treated like the trash they are, away from scrutiny. Judges could fill that place to capacity in months. And the celebs would pay huge bucks for privacy, but with no perks.
How much public money has Sheen wasted doing plea deals?
Gosh I wish someone would hire Robin Leach to describe in detail all about Charlie's latest exploits on every 'infotainment' show this week.
ReplyDeleteChampagne wishes and Caviar dreams!
