Today's Blind Items

Hopefully I can make this simple. C+/B- list married actress who just got a promotion on a very hit network drama series. Although she is married she is the reason this long term, out lesbian couple broke up. Our married actress had a scorching affair with this C+/B- list actress who has always been out and has been the lead or close to top billed on some excellent shows that just for whatever reason could not catch on.

  1. Is Bonnie Hunt gay? She is always on shows that don't take off.

  2. the lesbian couple will be cherry jones and sarah paulson probably, with sarah paulson having the affair. don't know who the married actress is tho.

  3. Long-term lesbian couple might be Cherry Jones and Sarah Paulson.

  4. Long Term Lesbian Couples That Just Broke Up (within the last year):

Melissa Etheridge & Tammy Lynn Michaels

    Cherry Jones & Sarah Paulson

I'm thinking Sarah Paulson is one half of the puzzle: she was in "Cupid", "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", "The D.A.", "Leap of Faith", "Jack and Bobby", and more.

As for the married actress she had the affair with- no idea!

  5. I dunno who the married actress is but I bet Jamie Lynn (Melissa Ethridge's ex) is the out and proud actress.

  6. Errrr Tammy Lynn... Thanks ctkat1

  7. I like the Sarah Paulson guess. Now to figure out which married actress got a "promotion" on a hit series.

  8. What about Margaret Cho?

  9. I did not know that Sarah Paulson liked eating at the Y. Well, now I do, but still don't know with who?
Or is that whom on lips well-groomed?

  10. Margaret Cho too. I had no clue?

  11. I like the Sarah Paulson guess, but as usual, I am clueless about the married actress. I just don't watch enough TV. What does a promotion mean? She gets more airtime? Really, clueless.

  12. Sarah Drew (April on grey's anatomy) has jus been promoted to series regular, and shes married, i dont know its jus a thought.
also sarah paulson was a guest star on grey's this season

  13. That's a good guess, snoopy. I was thinking of Caterina Scorsone from Private Practice who plays McDreamy's little sister. Don't know if she's married in real life, but Shonda Rhimes is certainly a lesbian/bi-friendly employer.

  14. @Aly In one of Margaret Cho's stand-up routines, she says "I'm not gay; I'm just a slut!" she's hilarious.

As for this blind, agree with commenters above that second actress is Sarah Paulson. But no clue on the first one - it's too vague!

  15. I am not at all overly PC, but c'mon Aly, "eat at the Y"? Really?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I feel like "scorching" has to be some sort of clue here.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Alas, I must be morally bankrupt. I thought eating at the Y was funny. (Mother, stop spinning in your grave.)

  18. Scorching, maybe some show like Burn Notice?

    ReplyDelete
  19. No, "eating at the Y" is clever and hilarious...never heard it put that way before...I'm gonna use it first chance I get... (I know I'm morally bankrupt!)

  20. lol @ "eating at the Y" I don't know whether go eeeewwww or laugh !

  21. The lesbitarian ranks are expanding all the time. And who knew beforehand that Meredith Baxter, Kelly McGillis and Cynthia Nixon would be joining the party with Cherry, Jody and Ellen. Now we all know what they are going to be having for dessert.

  22. I'm a lesbian and I think "eating at the Y" is hilarious.

Could the married actress be Amanda Peet?

    ReplyDelete
  24. It's Cherry Jones and Sarah Paulson

And the married actress is Amanda Peet.

  25. I'm not a lesbian but I'm somewhere in the middle and now I really want to find a way to work "yah I've dined at the Y" into conversation. I love it haha.

  26. "Eating at the Y" is good, but my favorite is still "she eats a box lunch."

    ReplyDelete
  27. I always thought it was dining on sushi ...

I'll have to google Cherry Jones. No clue who she is.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "liked eating at the Y"?

that's a disgusting way to refer to a lesbian. and very offensive.

    not cool.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The "Y" comment probably fits in fine with some people who are 'crude'. I'm not, so it doesn't work for me, but I can see lots of people using it and a lot more people not being offended by it.

  30. Amanda Peet just had another baby too. That's interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  31. What show is Amanda peet on at the moment? and has she had a promotion?

    ReplyDelete
  32. "Eating at the Y" doesn't necessarily have to be in reference to lesbians. There are men out there who don't mind dining at the Y *L*.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think people are mixing up the married actress and the out lesbian actress. Amanda Peet would only fit if you were mixing them up.

The out lesbian actress has been on good shows that never caught on (totally with the Sarah Paulson Guess here).

The married actress is currently on a show and got a promotion (no idea here- I'm thinking Ellen Pompeo or someone like that).

I guess I like Pompeo because she' supposedly miserable in her marriage and she might be perceived as having received a promotion because of Heigl's split.

  35. Cherry Jones is a fantastic Broadway actress. I paid to see her in "The Heiress" more than once, and also sneaked in for the second act a couple of times.

I also have no trouble with "eating at the Y", just like I have no trouble with "playing hide the sausage" for the other team.

  36. I have more problems with the fact that someone thinks it's ewww when a person performs cunnilingus on another.
It's no wonder that many women still can't enjoy it when somebody's going down on them when they're disgusted by their own body or are being told by society that they should feel disgusted by themselves.
    Sad. Very sad.

I'm wondering if men think the same way. Eww, he/she sucks his dick. How can he/she put this disgusting thing in his/her mouth? Gag!
Ugh, who am I kidding? They all think that a dick is the most delicious thing besides beer.

  37. I love it, Mina! Girl Power!!!

  38. I wish my husband dined at the "Y" more often...love it and want to use in my next conversation..

  39. what about Juliana Marguiles from The Good Wife? She's won some awards, and the show was renewed.

Could the character have gotten a promotion on the show or is it the actress with the promotion?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Anonymous2:10 PM

    I agree with Kelli.

Julianna Margulies for the married actress is a great guess. Her character on the show got a promotion on the season finale.

  41. I'm on the Sarah Paulson guess.. not sure about Amanda Peet. They were both on Jack & Jill together and that seems like too good of a connection to not be mentioned in the blind.

And just to chime in as a lesbian... the "eating at the Y" comment would be offensive depending on context and who says it. I find it fine here.

  42. "C+/B- list actress who has always been out and has been the lead or close to top billed on some excellent shows that just for whatever reason could not catch on."

Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development, Better Off Ted)
