Today's Blind Items - The Director's Wife Returns

The Director's Wife is not really known to follow her marriage vows, so it should not be surprising that she does not also respect the vows of other marriages. OK, so the guys are equally to blame. Anyway, here are a few of the married people she has had sex with.

#1 - An aging Academy Award nominee/winner actor who used to be A++ while he was married to the woman before his current wife.

#2 - Another Academy Award nominee/winner actor/director who still is A++ even though not many people like him while he was married. I guess he still is.

  1. Wasn't this Gretchen Mol?

Not sure who #1 is, but #2 is most probably/definitely Sean Penn

  5. Missjenny beat me to it - I think #2 is Penn.
No idea on the wife, especially if it doesn't say what she does for a living.

  6. 1. Michael Douglas who was HUGE when he was married to Diandra as opposed to now with CZJ

    2. Mel Gibson

  7. Definitely Gretchen Mol.

I like Sean Penn for #2.

  8. #1 = Michael Douglas

Clint is out.. because I don't think he was married for a very long time b4 marrying his current wife. I think he was with Fisher and Locke and did not marry either.

    I thought the Penn divorced

  9. Liking the Douglas/Penn guesses.

  10. I thought Harrison Ford & Mel Gibson, but maybe Mel's divorce from his first wife is completed? And maybe HF's not an academy award winner/nominee?

  11. I like the Penn guess, I am just confused by Enty's comment" I guess he still is", is what? married? to the same woman or divorced her and got remarried?

  12. Is Penn's divorce finalized?

    ReplyDelete
  13. oh, i thought the "I guess he still is" referred to the guy still being A++

  14. #1 - Sylvester Stallone - but I think Enty would have said actor/director/writer, but I'll throw it in the mix.

#2- Sean Penn or Mel Gibson

  15. Mol with (1)Douglas and (2)Penn?

  16. How about Kevin Costner for #1 Divorced his long term from before he was famous wife in 94 right around the time of the Waterworld debacle. Hasn't put out anything worth seeing since.

  17. Who is not Mel Gibson

    ReplyDelete
  18. I immediately thought of Bruce Willis for #1 and Sean Penn for #2.

I also read 'I guess he still is' as his A list status.

  19. I thought Kostner for at least one...

  20. I thought about Harrison Ford for #1. Although, I think anyone who was Han Solo AND Indiana Jones should always be considered A++ inspite of the fact that his recent movies (other than the 4th Indiana Jones) have tanked. I think he was nominated for an Oscar for "Witness". I could be wrong.

I thought about Kevin Costner for #2. He won a boatload of awards for "Dances with Wolves". He has a reputation for chasing tail. Didn't he grope some woman on his honeymoon to his current wife? I took the "I guess he still is." to mean that he's still married. And I think he and his last wife are still married even though there's been trouble.

  21. Y'all are forgetting a key phrase in #1: while he was married to the woman before his current wife.

  22. 1. My first thought was Michael Douglas, but I still think of him as A+, especially with him shooting Wall Street 2.

    2. Gotta be Mel Gibson. He might be going through a major popularity decline right now, but if he wasn't still A+ no one would care, and apparantly they do.

not sure who the wife is....for 1 - I'd toss out Harrison Ford...for 2 - I like Sean Penn FTW

  24. there is no joy in guessing who sleeps with a beautiful woman..who cares? It was only fun to guess who the floozie wife was.

  25. I thought people had guessed in a blind item that the director's wife was Gretchen Mol.
    #1: Michael Douglas
    #2: Sean Penn

  26. Gretchen Mol was the popular guess for the Director's Wife.

#1 - I like the Harrison Ford guess. He is definitely A++ because of Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Michael Douglas also fits.

#2 - Definitely sounds like Penn or Gibson.

  27. #1 is definitely Michael Douglas. A plus plus while with Diandra, and known to be unfaithful.

#2 not positive what Ent is getting at but I think Sean or Mel.

    Kate Capshaw - Director's Wife

#1 Harrison Ford - A+++ while he was married to Melissa Mathison (Raiders, etc.) Now married to Calista Flockhart. Nominated for an Oscar for Witness in 1985. Kate starred with him in Indiana Jones Temple of Doom.

#2 Mel Gibson - his divorce isn't final yet.

  29. #1 Michael Douglas

#2 Sean Penn, 'tho I hate to think of that poisonous jerk being A++

  30. #1 Michael Douglas

#2 Sean Penn, 'tho I hate to think of that poisonous jerk being A++

  31. I thought of Bruce Willis for #1

#1 Either Dennis Quaid or Bruce Willis-I like both of those guesses. What about Tom Cruise?

#2 Definitely Sean Penn. What a douche this guy is!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with Interplanet Janet on Kate Capshaw. I think 1 and 2 are Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.

How would Bruce Willis be an Academy Award nominee/winner? Much as I used to love Dennis Quaid, I can ask the same of him.

Wasn't Gretchen Mol the popular answer to that Lainey blind about sleeping with a power mogul just for an audition, then getting tossed aside?

    ReplyDelete
  34. #1 Tom Cruise

#2 Not sure. The wording is strange. Sean Penn, but his wife never had anything to do with whether or not he was liked, did she?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like the Douglas guess. Harrison Ford and Kate Capshaw? She got involved with Steven Spielberg on that movie. # 2 is either Mel or Penn. I favor the Penn guess, but I don't favor him.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I immediately thought of Michael Douglass for number 1, but I'm not too sure about number 2. I think Penn is the best fit...

Scarlet Kensington - I think a lot of people felt bad for his wife because he was cheating and just seemed like a pretty bad husband... Maybe that's what the blind was getting at?

    ReplyDelete
  37. #1 - Kevin Costner. He was married to friggin' Snow White! He definitely used to be A++ but isn't now, and he's the very definition of aging.

#2 - I like the Sean Penn guess. Is he still married technically?

    ReplyDelete
  38. "OK, so the guys are equally to blame."

    still makes it sexist.

  39. I never thought I'd say this, particularly after I first saw Rounders 12-odd yrs ago, but I'm really looking forward to reading Gretchen Mol's autobiography...perhaps while watching "The Notorious Bettie Page."
