Sylvester Stallone Thinks Movies Are Too Violent
Sylvester Stallone gave an interview to Fox News to promote his upcoming violent action-palooza film The Expendables. In the interview he said that movies today were too violent. Huh? Did he see the last Rambo movie he made? I have never seen so much blood in an action movie ever. And yes, I am ashamed that I watched the movie, but it was late at night and the remote control was out of my reach.
Although he was not asked about the inconsistency of his statement he followed up on his own remark by saying the only violence that is acceptable is if it is done in a heroic context. You know, like his movies. If it is a serial killer or a horror movie then there should be a reduction in violence.
All in all I have to say that something like this is pretty idiotic of him to say. He has made his career in violent movies. Most of his co-stars in his new movie have made their livings off violent movies. I think all that HGH he took in his life has affected his thinking or something.
Sounds like he's pandering to the right-wing Fox viewers. Attempting to envoke patriotism with his bloodbath films to drum up an audience.
ReplyDeleteUtterly hypocritical.
ReplyDeleteLOL~what a maroon!! all those punches he took to the head in Rocky have scrammbled his brains! He should have listened to Adrian and quit fighting after the first Creed fight.
ReplyDeleteThe man is an oxymoron.
ReplyDeleteHe must be on something, to say something that stupid.
ReplyDeleteLadies and Gentlemen, we have a big contender for the hypocrite of the year award.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be like someone like Paris or Kim K bashing the media for being "too obsessed with sex".
Loving Wade's comment.
ReplyDeleteI never realized he was so funny.
