If I told you that a model had done some coke at a night club once would that be something that would make headlines all over the world? If I told you she did coke three years ago in a foreign country would that make headlines? All night last night and this morning I kept seeing headlines about how George Clooney's girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, has been implicated in some kind of coke and hooker ring in Italy. Although I think that would be really juicy and fun to talk about, it just seems pretty harmless.
According to the testimony of a model, one night about three years ago she did some coke at a club with Elisabetta Canalis. That's it. No Elisabetta being a hooker or that Elisabetta did coke every night. Nope, just one time several years ago and now it is front page news.
Does it really come as a surprise to anyone that Elisabetta has taken coke before? It does make for a good headline though. Now, if she and George Clooney were doing lines off each other's naked bodies and there were photos of them doing it, now then that would be a story. Or at least more interesting to see and talk about.
I don't get it - where is the hooker connection?

Remember that book MODEL that came out a few years ago. It aimed to blow the lid off the tightly-guarded model community -- and it revealed that the girls stay thin with amphetamines and cocaine and they sleep with people for jobs and to get ahead. Even at the time, people were like, "Um, yeah. They're models. That's their job."

ReplyDeleteI think it depends on who is doing the drugs and or being called out as a hooker. There are certain people who get a pass. Anything that could point back to truly outing George Clooney will always be refuted as he gets by on his charm and good looks.

Wasn't their some Lainey item about Chocolate the kinda intimated that she had a threesome involving feces with George and her ex boyfriend. The BI kinda made it seem as though she was a paid girl.

ReplyDeleteOh-ho - this may be the beginning of the end. While he is probably not surprised hearing of Elizabetta's possible past, I don't think he wants her name to be connected with it in any way. (Don't ask, don't tell; turn a blind eye, etc.) Cocaine is not going to sit well with the Clooney name.

@rocket, I haven't seen a Lainey blind item in a while and am glad because it was too confusing. Someone else was revealing them while stating that they were not associated with Lainey's blog.

George is romantically immature and can only be comfortable dating the Elsabetta type of woman. If I didn't have a job and someone of George's caliber took interest in me I don't know that I could refuse his offer while I'm waiting for my next real gig i.e. modeling, acting, etc.
The hooker part of the story came about because the woman talking about the incident is an "ex-model/prostitute." She never said that Elisabetta was a hooker, just that she saw her doing a line of coke in a bar several years ago. I agree. Yawn.

ReplyDeleteI gotta say though - that site ("not associated with Lainey") was pretty good at deciphering her blinds. I think they were pretty dead on most of the time due to the fact that she always gives clues, it's just whether or not you have the time to look for them. Now when I read one of her blinds, I just go straight to that site for the answer.
