If I told you that a model had done some coke at a night club once would that be something that would make headlines all over the world? If I told you she did coke three years ago in a foreign country would that make headlines? All night last night and this morning I kept seeing headlines about how George Clooney's girlfriend, Elisabetta Canalis, has been implicated in some kind of coke and hooker ring in Italy. Although I think that would be really juicy and fun to talk about, it just seems pretty harmless.
According to the testimony of a model, one night about three years ago she did some coke at a club with Elisabetta Canalis. That's it. No Elisabetta being a hooker or that Elisabetta did coke every night. Nope, just one time several years ago and now it is front page news.
Does it really come as a surprise to anyone that Elisabetta has taken coke before? It does make for a good headline though. Now, if she and George Clooney were doing lines off each other's naked bodies and there were photos of them doing it, now then that would be a story. Or at least more interesting to see and talk about.
