Oxygen Reaches Deep Into The Barrel - Pulls Out Aubrey O'Day Reality Show

You know it must have been someone's last day of work at Oxygen Network recently. How else can you explain the decision to greenlight a show for Aubrey O'Day? Seriously? Are you telling me they could find no other person on the planet who had a better idea for a reality show? If they are really serious about this and it was not someone's idea of a way to stick it to the network after they were gone, then they must be trying their hardest to come up with younger viewers.

I know who she is and most of you probably know who she is, but does the rest of the world? The only reason I even post about her on here is because of the way she paints her dogs and to see if she actually wears clothes on red carpets. The show is supposed to follow her as she attempts to break back into the music industry.

It is kind of a full circle thing. Aubrey was on Making The Band which was a spin off of Making The Band when they had O-Town on there. Remember that? They were being groomed by that guy who stole all the money and molested the kids. Anyway, there was that guy from O-Town, Ashley I think who then had his own show about breaking back into the music business. So, now, it is Aubrey's turn.

Whoo Hoo! Tori & Dean followed by Aubrey O'Day. And people wonder why television viewership is down.

  1. I keep thinking this "reality craze" where ANYONE can get a show will die down, leaving only the decent ones (4 or 5 I can think of), and I keep being wrong.

  2. Yeah, I keep thinking that they would run out of time slots and channels... But I guess not.

  3. I keep hoping this give anyone a reality show will die down, but considering they still churn show after show of obnoxious no-names, I fear we will continue to be bombarded for more years.

  5. We might as well create our own show ---The Readers of CDAN. A different person could be featured every week and we could end the show with some sort of blind item that we make random guesses on. Based on the comments, we're 10 times more interesting than most reality "stars."

  6. ooh, that's a GREAT idea! we could put enty behind a dark screen with a voice scrambler, and we could intelligently discuss gossip without kissing ass at the end of each show!
you know, i'm home all day, so the tv is playing all the time. the reality shows are bad enough, but they run in marathons ALL DAY LONG.
    thank god for cable.

  7. I'm done with cable. They can have it. It's better for me, and free, to go to the library and get DVD's. No commercials and no idiocy unless requested specifically by me. Life is good.
