Jessica Biel Wants Us To Feel Sorry For Her
Jessica Biel was in England promoting The A-Team and went on a radio show to talk about that and while there she also talked about how she lives paycheck to paycheck too. Huh? She talks about how when she was younger she did not worry about money, but now that she is an adult she has things to pay for like a car and insurance and so she worries.
"Since I was so young when I started I didn't think about (money). I just liked it, it was fun. But as I got older and started to become an adult and then had to get a car and have to pay for insurance and all those things... it's a huge worry."
And then she starts talking about how she has not worked all year and won't work until September and she makes it seem like she is destitute or something.
"For example, I haven't worked at all this year. I haven't made a film so I haven't had a pay check and I won't do anything until September and I don't know if I'll do anything after. It's always up in the air constantly. My life is very much a question mark when the next pay check is coming in and even when it seems like you make enough money, you sometimes don't know when the next check is coming in."
Umm, last I checked, Jessica made multi-millions for each bomb of a movie some idiot casts her in. I don't care if she ever works again because just the interest from what she has already made is more per year than 99% of the people of the world make each year. It is tough to feel sorry for her not knowing where her next paycheck is coming from when she makes millions for not doing much of anything.
she also has a cosmetics contract and those pay very well
ReplyDeleteBullshit.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she made a pretty penny all of those years on Seventh Heaven, right?
ReplyDeleteI can't stand her for some reason...
Maybe she has some secret drug habit that is using up all her money? Or just some piss poor money management skills.
ReplyDeleteWhatever, have Justin cry you a river.....
What a ridiculous twat. Waaahhh.
ReplyDeleteI don't feel bad for her, but I understand the point she is trying to make.
ReplyDeleteWell, it's hard for her. She does not get cast as often as other actresses because of her beauty...maybe she'd like to haul her ass into an office five days a week. She is out of touch with reality.
ReplyDeletejessica biel, the starving artist.
ReplyDeleteI hear McDonalds is hiring.
ReplyDeleteI do see where she's coming from, but, the again, I know her terms of "living paycheck to paycheck" are different than my terms.
ReplyDeleteFor her, making less money may mean cutting down on a perk or two, or living in a less-expensive-but-still-posh area rather than the best of the best.
For the rest of the world, cutting back means choosing between paying utility bills or buying groceries, for example.
She's kind of up there with Jessica Simpson in the range of star cluelessness.
What a dumba$$. She does have that modeling contract and probably gets residuals from 7th Heaven since it is in re-runs somewhere in the world.
ReplyDeleteCan't we place a ban on all the stupid Jessica's from this sight??
don't lump her in with Simpson, you'd never hear this bullshit from JS.
ReplyDeleteBiel is just trying to stay relevant. good luck with that...honestly, i don't even know if Justin even remembers her anymore.
Oh bu hu. At least she gets to pretend to be sleeping with Justin, and can say things like "I'm too beautiful.." without people rideculing her to her face.
ReplyDeleteI seriously dislike her as well, and actually don't find her beautiful at all. So there.
Doesn't she live with Justin Timberlake? I can't believe she's living paycheck to paycheck.
ReplyDeleteI don't see her point. She makes millions a year. If that isn't enough then she needs to live a smaller life. Don't live in mansion for starters. People survive on a lot less than that comfortably so if her outgoing is too much she should scale back. Simple. 7th heaven is on everyday as well so there is always that paycheck.
ReplyDeleteI strongly doubt she is rich, in any "set for life" sense of the word. Realistically if she pays an agent and manager, together with tax man, she proably left with 50% at most. From that she has to pay both current expenses and set aside money for her future. Even A list actresses barely work past 40 and she is B list at best. I'm surprised Enty pegs her movie roles at "multi millions". I have to I have to assume Enty has better knowledge but a year or two ago someone offered me a tax shelter deal for a movie staring an Academy award winner, albeit supporting, who I think was getting in the half million range. I recognize that the a team was big budget and Biel would get paid more for it but most of her movies are far more modest. I doubt that 7th Heaven paid her huge money since it was a large ensemble show (probably a couple hundred thousand a year). Do I have sympathy for her: no, even 50% of what she makes is probably far more than the rest of us make. But I don't think we should abuse her for pointing out that even she has to budget.
ReplyDeleteWas the Revlon ads not "work" to her? Why not get a Twitter account and tweet ads like Demi Moore, Lindsay and Kim K. There's little dignity in that but neither is crying about having no money.
ReplyDeleteI think Daveb is right, but there's no harm living a more modest lifestyle and investing your money wisely so you won't have to cry poor later on. That's what I would do if I were in her position.
ReplyDeleteI'm currently existing on $200 a week, Jess. I'll happily swap positions with you. I have mad budgeting skills and I could make the "lack" of money you supposedly have really work for me.
ReplyDeleteLet me know, and I'll even gift you my Aldi cooler bags and a couple boxes of $1.29 mac and cheese.
lol @ cdanluva.
ReplyDeleteEvery time Biel opens her mouth I like her less.
If she wants to know what living paycheck to paycheck is REALLY like, she should take one of our jobs for a year. I have no fucking sympathy for her whatsoever and am actually kind of OFFENDED she seems to even be asking for it.
I think the vast majority of us would switch paychecks with her for one year. She should zip it.
I don't know who makes more ridiculous sense - Biel or the Goopster.
ReplyDeleteGood for you Dylan! Aldi is a great place to shop and still be able to pay the electric, IMO.
ReplyDeleteShe makes millions?
ReplyDeleteI've never even seen anything this woman's been on, nor could I name anything that I knew she was in. Well, OK, it says on the post she's promoting The A-Team.
I thought her money came from the old Trousersnake.
She's lucky she gets these ensemble parts because she's a below talented actress. I can't stand the fact that Justin Timberlake is acting he's so god awful atrocious, and horrible. I blame Diaz for getting him cast in Shrek, neither Jessica or Justin can act and they are both just lucky to be cast being such untalented actors.
ReplyDeleteBoo hoo hoo. I haven't worked all year either.
ReplyDeleteI have to say that she's not that far from the truth. If she's living a Hollywood life, she's probably tapped out completely. Mortgage, office bills, management fees, probably a hundred monthly bills for insurance and security and dog trainer and groundskeepers and pool boys -- it's not hard to spend fifty to a hundred thousand dollars a month just keeping up. Hollywood divorces often reveal just how much money it takes to stay current in LA.
ReplyDeleteShe's coming off as very selfish and spoiled and out of touch, I'll agree, but I think that she might be telling the truth. I'm sure at times, she doesn't have cash on hand to pay all the bills easily. No need for us all to cry for her, though.
If she is living paycheck to paycheck she is even stupider than I thought. And I already thought she was world class stupid.
ReplyDeleteJessica's arms will haunt me in my sleep.
ReplyDeleteThe more she talks, the more dumb she sounds. How sad. What an idiot. Comparing herself to waitresses, Walmart Clerks and city workers everywhere across the country. I don't feel sorry for her lousy ass.
ReplyDeleteWow that was a pretty bad calcuation on her part considering the times.
ReplyDeleteWe all know there is the Hollywood lifestyle and then the realworld lifestyle. Both are very expensive relative to how much you earn.
However, in the real world, most of the expensive are requirements, and unavoidable ones. Usually exceptions might be cable, high speed internet, etc but in general trimming involves cutting a $100 here and there from a monthly budget.
Saving in the Hollywood lifestyle should be pretty easy, assuming you have a grasp on reality. That means instead of owning several million dollar homes, how about renting an apartment? Instead of 10 vacations a year, how about one like most of us (if that)? Instead of turning over the entire wardrobe practically once every month...maybe wear something until more then a few times? Maybe, all that free stuff they get, actually use it?
People can make all the excuses in the world about agents, Hollywood demands, etc but we all know that Beal has already earned more then most of us will in our lifetimes. Most of us could probably take one of her paychecks and live a very stress free decade of comfort with ease.
She wants to not worry about money, her solution is very freaking easy - live like someone that gets "only" $100,000 a year instead of the average $1 million+ she really gets. I know about 99% of the world wishes they had that kind of problem.
OK I never thought she was a braintrust but this proves she's dumber then a stump.
ReplyDeletePLEASE Jess, just continue to be "pretty" because everytime you open your mouth to talk you stick an over-priced shoe in that orifice.
According to celebritynetworth.com, she's worth $18 million.
ReplyDeleteAww, another quote from her imdb page: "I've never gotten to do romantic comedy like most of the girls. Maybe because I'm fit, people assume that I'm not funny?"
I had no idea she was born in Ely. Thank god she moved away.
Stars all have people who teach them how to behave in public. One of the first things they're taught is not to talk about money or complain about working hard, even if theyre broke and dying of exhaustion.
ReplyDeleteSecond is, no matter what happens during filming, the director is/was inspiring, and your co stars are so much fun to work with!
she should watch what she says, cause that's rather offensive to a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteregardless, just because she is an actress and supposedly makes millions doesn't mean she doesn't live paycheck to paycheck - i mean, how expensive are all the things one has to have to keep up with hollywood? i know there are many out there who just blow their money and in fact live paycheck to paycheck.
but car insurance? get over it jessica. come on.
This bitch gets on my last nerve. Like Justin makes her split the household bills 50/50. Give me fucking break. "Where is your half of the cable bill Jessica? You don't have it? You need to get out!" Someone slap this chick.
ReplyDeletemaybe if she'd shut up and just earn a living off being so beautiful i could stand her a little more.
ReplyDeletething is, i can see the point she's making in all of her statements, but she always words things to make her sound like a victim. next she'll say how hard it is to be with justin because there's constant competition and pressure to be perfect for him. how about you just sit the f&$% down, be thankful for the life and opportunities you have and get an education to fall back on in between your filming schedule. there's lots of people who get far more life out of far less money and somehow manage to be happy with it all.
Ah sowwy Jessica. I don't feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for people who have lost their jobs in this lousy economy and have families to feed. I feel sorry for people whose livlihood was lost because of the oil spill, I could go on. I don't feel sorry for some rich multimillionaire who hasn't made a movie in a year. She needs a reality check.
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO-----I make less than 30K/yr and can save roughly half that, and BIEL is living paycheck to paycheck?????
ReplyDeleteI ROCK. She don't. The End.
