  2. Looks like the True Blood actors got the snub AGAIN...

  3. I am so glad to see Kyle Chandler & Connie Britton finally nominated for their work on FNL. I was also so happy to see Matthew Fox nominated. I love him and he did a awesome job this last season on Lost. Glee is a great show but I don't think either Lea or Matthew deserved the nom.

Love that even the Emmy's live Coco better!

  4. FOUR for Conan for Tonight Show...ZERO for Jay!

    suck it NBC!

  5. I am so over Glee. It had some shining moments in the first half of the season, but if we're telling the truth, it was decidedly UNfunny after it came back from its winter hiatus. I'm particularly pissed off to see Lea Michele get nominated. Bitch can sing, but act? Never made me laugh once. Jane Lynch rules, though.

I'm Teams Mad Men and Modern Family all the way.

  6. January Jones? WTF???

  7. I looooove "Breaking Bad". Go Brian Cranston! Also, am I crazy but i think "True Blood" should have been nominated for Best Comedy series. It is a comedy isn't it?

  8. Just give Jon Hamm 45 Emmys and call it a night.

  9. I like Mariska, but don't see why she continues to be nominated.

  10. Cheers to Conan! Jeers to NO COMMUNITY nominations - how could they?

I will predict now that I think Conan will win his well deserved Emmy. Team CoCo!

  11. IdiotWatcher - I totally agree. I LOVE Mad Men, but January Jones is easily the weak link. Girl got lucky that she "looks" the part, I cringe every time she opens her mouth.

  12. Does anyone here actually watch "The Good Wife"? The promos for it made it sound like the stupidest idea for a show ever, but it seems to be getting some love.

Kinda surprised Survivor didn't make the reality category - it's so much better than Dancing With the Has-Beens or American Idol (IMO)

Also - Nurse Jackie is a comedy? Hmm. If so, it's a pretty dark, serious one.

  13. I think January Jones is good in Mad Men because the character she plays is so repressed and emotionally stunted and that's what comes across, but whether that's good acting or just the way JJ is, I couldn't say.

  14. Modern Family and Kyra Sedgwick!

Just watched Modern Family a few weeks ago for the first time and instantly fell in love

  15. ooh entourage snubbed too..but after last season,no surprise.

  16. My sister watches "The Good Wife" & says it's very good.

As a Gleek, I'd certainly agree that the episodes after the hiatus were definitely off compared to the first 13.

How do the nominations work? Are they chosen by the creators or the Emmy board?

  17. All I care about is that Modern Family wins for Best Comedy.

That show is the funniest thing I've seen in years. Cameron is my favorite character on it. But then, they're all good.

  18. I'm very happy for Matthew Fox.

  19. @ rocketqueen:
ITA about nurse jackie and survivor. and this past survivor was an excellent season. frustrating and infuriating, but a really good show.

  20. @ rocketqueen:
I only bother to watch three shows - and the good wife is one of them. Julianna Margulies is quite remarkable in that role.

  21. Chris Colfer from Glee got a supporting nod. Go Kurt!

  22. RocketQueen - I've watched the show, but not lately. If I happen to catch it, I watch it. It's also on on demand. What about "Psych", or "White Collar".

And I can't believe that "Deadlient Catch" wasn't nominated for an Emmy. That show is the absolute essence of reality shows. These last few shows are both riveting and painful to watch.

And for God's sake - GIVE HUGH LAURIE A FUCKING EMMY!!!!!!

  25. The Good Wife is a very good show. I resisted watching it but after Vincent D'Onofrio left Law & Order Criminal Intent, I needed something to watch at 10 on Tuesdays. It is great. But Breaking Bad should win Best Drama. That show is beyond good.

  26. I hope Breaking Bad wins for best show and actor! Also I hope Aaron Paul for best supporting actor. That show is excellent!

  27. Exactly. What. Jax. Said. :) Suck it NBC!!
I did go to their experience store the other day in NYC & got one of the only Conan shirts left.

So with steve carrell & Alec Baldwin jumping ship I wonder how much longer their shows will continue??

I think Modern Family def deserves the win for comedy. It's one of the funniest shows I have seen in awhile.

    January Jones....hmmm

@Rocket - my mother loves The Good Wife but I couldn't get into it.
