BuzzFoto Blind Item
This very outspoken musician has fought against illegal downloading for years. Guess how he filled up his Ipod? Here’s a hint, he didn’t pay for any of the music…. hypocrite. Guess he only wants you to pay for his music.
Not Adam Levine.
Lars from Metallica
ReplyDeleteLars Ulrich. Maybe too obvious though.
ReplyDeleteLars is my guess.
ReplyDeleteLars
ReplyDeleteIt's gotta be James Hetfield or Lars Ullrich.
ReplyDeleteprince!
ReplyDeleteHa! Lars is the first name that comes up.
ReplyDeleteBut how is this known? I am sure he is aware of the double standard and I doubt he goes around telling people about it.
Exactly @ Shmoeey. How would someone know how Lars downloaded his music?
ReplyDeleteemimen? i remember him flipping over napster back in the day
ReplyDeleteI hate these blinds. Such waste of space.
ReplyDeletelars. always thought he was a douche and always will think he's a douche.
ReplyDeleteLars is a good guess - what about Dave matthews?
ReplyDeleteLARS IS A DOUCHEBAG! Always has been. He sold out when he went before Congress to protect his copywrights. What a joke.
ReplyDeleteMetallica had a song on their last album with the refrain "You're such a f-ing hypocrite."
ReplyDeleteI think it's Lars. He was always giving interviews about how he didn't think it was fair that people could get his music for free, I don't remember really seeing much from James Hetfield.
Could be Chad Kroeger too... he spoke out quite a bit against Napster and that realm?
ReplyDeleteJust to be fair, Lars wasn't as big a jacka$$ as a lot of people thought. At the time file sharing started, it was out of control and there was NO plan in site for it to ever end or be regulated and there was no plan on the horizon to create a pay service. So AT THAT TIME, it looked like every new musician that came along was never going to make a dime from their music. People like Fiona Apple level had no chance to ever continue being a musician since they would never make enough on music alone.
ReplyDeleteThe guys in Metallica were already multimillionaires. He was doing it as much for the little guys coming along as for the guys in the band, but he is a "rockstar" so he was like EFF EVERYONE, I'LL NEVER LET MY MUSIC BE A PART OF IT.
Bad delivery, yes. But his point was fair.
And iTunes has been the only one to put a stop to it really, and it took a hell of a long time, since Napster as a pay site never really took off.
And with no competition for iTunes, they'll start screwing people over soon enough.
But anyway, probably Lars.
I vote Lars, especially when you consider how he was KNOWN for his tape-trading days, but then became an utter hypocrite in the Napster kerfluffle.
ReplyDeleteLars sounds like a good guess to me.
ReplyDeleteKid Rock

Bite your tongue, PammieC!!
ReplyDeleteGarth Brooks! :)
ReplyDeleteGarth Brooks! :)
ReplyDeleteKid Rock has never spoke out against illegal downloading. His response has been, "I'm rich," with a shrug.
ReplyDeleteWho knows the answer but I hate Lars (and Metallica) with a passion. Years ago, Sean Fanning (was that his name? the Napster guy) appeared on stage at some awards show and the camera flashed to Lars who looked up, realized he was on camera, and them pretended to be asleep. D*ckhead. So Metallica goes after all these people who download but then they do a concert at a prison (was it San Quentin?) and actually tell the offenders watching that they're the "real heroes." Fuckwads.
Yep...WAY too obvious. LOL at Lars Butt-itch!
