This foreign born Golden Globe nominee/winner is a C+/B- list actress who primarily does movies but is better known for being on a show loved by critics but which could never find an audience. Anyway, our actress is not the best customer at restaurants. Over the Christmas holidays our actress was at a restaurant with a party of 8 and decided to show the table what you could do if you were a star. She went to find her waitress and asked the waitress to find the biggest vegetable in the kitchen, bring it to the table and say, "Here you go ____, is this what you were talking about?" The waitress found a large vegetable, brought it out to the table and said her lines. As she was leaving, our actress said, "You see? That's the kind of thing I can do because I'm _______." Throughout the night our actress made other staff do various tasks to laughter from the table. When they left, the table didn't even tip.

I don't think Enty likes her at all, and I believe he insinuated in a photo that she was seeing some new guy, or sneaking around with some new guy. She has also complained to me, with significant disgust, that they get paid way too much in this country (Australia). I have sometimes thought she would own a slave if she could.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I too loved Anna Friel on Pushing Daisies. I never missed an episode. Yet another reminder that actors are often far less charming than their characters. This is such shit behaviour. I can imagine the type of company she keeps if they thought that was funny. Pretentious, entitled types. Ugh. I'm glad the staff spilled the beans on this one.

ReplyDeleteinteresting point, audieh-- i know some places it's considered impolite to tip. like how in mexico it's impolite to signal for the bill with one finger like we do here. i think it's also considered impolite for a waiter there to "rush" you by bringing you the bill.
