#1 - This two first name C list reality star from one of the cable reality shows that I don't like was out of the country and needed his coke. Needed it badly. Needed it so much that a club one night he asked every person in the club for some. When he finally found someone to give him some he took the coke and his girl and walked out without even saying thanks.
#2 - This former almost A list television funny man and stand up comedian had his own show for awhile. Since then he has bounced around from project to project. At one point not in the too distant past he could not go anywhere without being asked for photos and autographs. How times have changed. Over the weekend he was at Chateau Marmont eating lunch all by himself for over an hour and no one stopped by his table or even seemed to recognize him despite him making eye contact with everyone who walked by.
#1 - Justin Bobby
#2 - Richard Lewis
I'm not sure if making eye contact with everyone is a sign that you secretly want to pen an autograph. Huh.
ReplyDeleteThank god the Hills is over. And if Justin Bobby has a coked out heart attack well boo hoo for him.
ReplyDeletePoor Richard Lewis he seems so needy in interviews. Too bad he doesn't have a son that can point and shoud Hey! it's Richard Lewis!
Don't know JB. Loved RL.
ReplyDeletelol timebob. i always talk about that sylvester stallone story!!!
ReplyDeleteI love RL in Curb Your Enthusiasm. Maybe he was just keeping to himself.
ReplyDeleteGuess somebody recognized RL since he's the subject of the BI. And now he's no doubt thrilled with this current attention.
ReplyDeletehollywood is a fickle unforgiving b*tch. the people who last - well, who just really knows.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why artists get ridiculed for not being at the peak of their fame.
ReplyDeleteAfter experiencing a period of being treated as if they are special, it must difficult to deal with not getting that kind of adulation any more.
There's nothing sad or pathetic about it, per se. Most people would find it hard to adjust.
I don't know if Richard Lewis was hankering for recognition there - maybe he just likes to observe people and unlike Stallone, doesn't think he is above looking people in the eyes.
He was awesome in Robin Hood: Men In Tights, too!
Have no idea who Justin Bobby is and I think Richard Lewis is an industry-man...established - autographs are not always a barometer of success.
ReplyDelete/rant over
I can tell you this. Most entertainers do not last 20 years of working consistently in Hwood. The wiser ones know once you get that that big show or tour, you save and invest. Then watch your accountant very closely. A second round of success is very hard, but not impossible.
ReplyDeleteI doubt he's hurt for money, and I would say that his career was a very good one.
I love Richard Lewis. I don't think he has fallen at all. I don't really think he is in need of attention like some Hollywood players! Not everyone needs constant attention! Probably a welcomed relief!
ReplyDeleteI adore Richard Lewis. How has he fallen? I'd know him in a New York minute although I wouldn't disturb him. I don't do autographs and the like. Maybe it's a difference in his fan base or something. We've grown older and jaded perhaps.
ReplyDeleteLove Richard Lewis too. Hey, Enty, if you know him, tell Richard Lewis he has lots of fans who still love him, they just don't eat at the Chateau Marmont!
ReplyDeleteI thought Justin Bobby was on harder stuff than that.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping #2 was Jerry Seinfeld. I used to adore him and his show, but he has proven time and time again to be an utter prick.
ReplyDeletethankyou Harriet hellfire for this!
ReplyDeleteRichard Lewis was a fave of mine for years and then he just seemed to fall off the radar. Now I just see him appear randomly. So sad.
ReplyDeleteThanks Enty, your reveals are okeydokey with me.
I love Richard Lewis, but he looks rode hard and put away wet. Doesn't work in Hollywood, not even for funny men.
ReplyDeleteAww poor RL (if he really cared). I would have recognized him, but would have just assumed he would want to be left alone.
ReplyDeleteThe name Justin Bobby makes me laugh...
I've met Richard Lewis and he's a genuinely nice person. And a friend of mine met him on a separate occasion and he had the same impression. One thing you do notice about him is that he does make eye contact. He seems sincerely interested in people, which I guess is why (that, and being a comedian makes him want to observe people).
ReplyDeleteOnly tourists ask for autographs. I'd think that's why no one was bothering him. They were just letting him eat his lunch in peace. (And btw, was there anyone clamoring for the autograph of the bitchy person who turned in this blind item?)
