I think that until Jennifer Aniston gets married or Brad and Angelina break up that we will have these stories all the time. I cannot believe there is anything new left to say. I can't believe there is enough new stuff to actually write a book about the breakup.
Brad and Jen were together about 7 years from 1998-2005. Married for five of those years. Brad and Angelina have been together for five years now. At what point does what happen become irrelevant? Do we ever stop caring. I know many of you do not care anymore and I don't think there is really anything left to say that has not been said, but someone is reading this stuff in the tabloids. Someone is buying these types of covers or else they would not be publishing them. Jennifer Aniston still sells the most covers and she has not done anything of any significance in a long time. Her only movie success in the past five years involved a dog and was based on a best selling book. They could have put anyone in that role and people would have gone to see it because of the book.
Her continued fame is based on this drama and people continue to be fascinated by her because of what happened. I don't know if she will ever get married because if she does her fame would probably evaporate. She can play the martyr as long as she stays single.
I like Jennifer and don't particularly care for Angelina and it has nothing to do with who stole whom or any of that.

One day she's wearing a vial of blood after running off with Laura Dern's boyfriend, the next she's remanufactured herself in the UN. Don't like her father any better. No matter what Jolie is selling, I'm not buying.

ReplyDeleteWhat about Angelina and the Pittster..the break up and babies have made them more media play then their movies combined - I can't watch any of them beacause their personal lives have overtaken the screen no illusions no movie magic..just a skinny woman with serious personal issues reinventing her life with every new interview, a cheating ex-husband and a former friend who smokes and drinks on the beach and seems like nice girl but dates the wrong guys..sounds like a soap opera..why buy the tickets when I can surf the net?

The Academy Awards happened on March 26, on April 6 Thornton's separation from Dern was announced, and the next day (April 7) Jolie was showing off her Billy Bob tattoo.

I really don't think she is play the martyr, the tabs put her in that role cause it sells. I find it hard to believe that after all this time, she is really going around trying to prove she was wronged. And Angelina puts out the same old song and dance everytime she does a movie, if she and brad hadn't gotten together the way they had, no one would give a shit. Everytime she has a new film out it is the same interview from 4years ago. why is no one calling her out on that?? meanwhile, Brad just goes along with no skin off his back.

In regards to her movies I don't like the Rom-Coms but I think she's really good in dramas and wish she'd do more. Lainey says she's mean but I can't verify that so I don't care what Lainey thinks.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand I think Angelina is manipulative and coldhearted and not buying the white wash of the UN and the "babies a plenty" (adopted or biological). Her acting is just good enough to see for free.
Brad is sneaky (and maybe even smelly) and I don't care for him as an actor.

He'd move on - but not back to JA - and without AJ to use as the witch/bitch stereotype to blame all of JA's woe's on, the public would have to consider the possibility that MAYBE the Aniston/Pitt relationship wasn't all it was cracked up to be.
No, no, if she gets married she can keep the fame going. Maybe she will finally have the baby she's been almost pregnant with for the past 5 years, and maybe someone with a bit of an imagination will say that it looks just a LITTLE bit like Brad Pitt...and the speculation will continue.

ReplyDeleteMaryja, I don't think it would hurt JA if they broke up. Pitt is no longer the catch he was. She looks much much better than he does and he is now a father of six. Would she be interested in signing up as the third wheel on that cart? I think her dream, if I were to guess, would be if they broke up and she happily was with someone else, married or not. I cannot imagine marriage being all that appealing to JA anymore. As for Brad, he better hang on to Jolie because he has baggage aplenty now.

Sure, there are the occasional Wedding or I Lost Weight! or First Baby Photo covers but mostly we love it when the stars are miserable, and that's just the truth.
@Elizabeth: I think you misunderstood me. I don't believe that either JA or BP want to be in a relationship with each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat I am saying is that JA (or her publicity team, if you want) would no longer be able to play the "Jolie stole my man but I'm not a victim!" card if BP and JA broke up. The publicity generated for JA by this interminable triangle is what keeps her in the public eye via gossip mags. Without it, she'll need to find a new angle.
First, I have always said that a man isn't a television or an iPod, he can't be stolen. He can be tempted. Giving (or not) into temptation is entirely up to him.
