Third Time The Charm For Harrison Ford?
Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart got married Tuesday. For some reason I thought they had been dating for 70 years but it was actually just eight. I don't know why Harrison finally broke down and got married again. I think it is because he can see his 70's coming up really fast and wants to make sure Calista is there for him. Most of the time when people date that long they just don't ever pull the trigger. I blame the guys mostly. Me? I never had that problem. I love getting married. That is why I have done it so many times. Oh, and the honeymoons. 7 honeymoons and I bet I have had sex on at least half of them. That is a pretty good average.
My experience is that when you get past that 5 year mark then generally you are not going to get married. I know there are exceptions, but I am just saying generally. It also makes you wonder if that piece of paper is now going to make things different between the couple.
Good for them!

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised too but good for them.
ReplyDeleteI barely got thru my 1st wedding w/out melting down. I can't imagine doing anything but the courthouse from here on out. :) 7 times is a lot of damn wedding cake. :)
Happy for them.
ReplyDeleteI agree- when I get married again (married for just over 3 yrs, then divorced) it WILL be a courthouse wedding. NOTHING fancy.
ReplyDeleteI love being married, but I think if I had 2 exes behind me, I'd be done.
ReplyDeletei think he's a total ass so i don't care.
ReplyDeleteEnty, you may be correct. I went out with the now hubby fro 84-89, broke up for a year (his idea). Then when I was just about to do something for myself (move to LA) - what do you know - he calls me and I go running back like an idiot. We got married a year later. Does that mean the clock is reset? Guess so.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least I got two stunningly beautiful and wonderful kids out of the deal.
