Police Look To Stepmom In Kyron Horman Case
When Kyron Horman disappeared two weeks ago, his stepmother Teri Horman stated she watched him walk into school and that was the last time she saw him. It kind of put a lump in your throat to hear her say it. Well, now police say Teri has been giving inconsistent statements about what she was doing that morning and that her stories have not matched where she was, at least according to cell phone records.
Police now have been posting pictures of her and her pickup truck and asking people in that area if they saw her and where and when that was.
Apparently what first made people take a look at her was when right after Kyron disappeared she updated her Facebook status to "hitting the gym."
The story breaks my heart. It just doesn't seem like there is going to be a happy ending here.
ReplyDeleteI hope if it's her, they nail her.
ReplyDeleteThat poor, adorable geeky little boy. Looks like it's the wicked stepmother, huh? This is so sad.
ReplyDeletei know nothing about the case but the "hitting the gym" comment, was that before or after she knew he was missing?
ReplyDeleteI live about 60 miles south of where this happened. As soon as I heard "stepmother dropped him off and was the last person to see him"...and I watched them search ponds and other bodies of water on the local news. (I felt she wasn't the Sandra Bullock type of stepmom, but the other kind). It just seemed off somehow. It reminded me of that W/T couple in Florida with the missing little girl, Hailey Cummings. Little boys who go to science fairs BEFORE school and wear CSI shirts are not the type that are trouble and difficult to raise. Poor little boy :-(
ReplyDeleteThis kind of stories make me so sad...a little child, they can't fight back :(
ReplyDeleteThis makes my heart hurt. What a gorgeous little kid.
ReplyDeleteSo sad... The minute I heard this story I thought a family member had to be involved. Poor little boy.
ReplyDeleteoh noooo...heartbreaking.
ReplyDeletei do think she had something to do w/ it tho.
This reminds me of the Shannon Matthews case here in the UK. Her bitch of a mother went on TV to beg for the kid's return - and all the time, she was responsible for her own child's abduction. Luckily Shannon was found alive. I only hope the same goes for this little boy....
ReplyDeletethis has been coming for awhile, i think. some little kid at school said he saw him that day, but he's a little kid and could be wrong about the day. and no adult saw him at all, from what i've read.
ReplyDeleteshe's got a problem with the cellphone thing, for sure. why haven't murderers gotten the word on that yet?
Let's all pray that this sweet child is found alive.
ReplyDeleteIt hurts my heart, people get the chance to love a child, however they come to you, they should be grateful, it's a gift from the universe. Poor wee man.
ReplyDeleteOh wow. Why didn't the father catch on to this monster he was married to? Although there is a monster stepmother in my family too. I caught her, but now I'm disowned.
ReplyDeleteIt hurts my heart, too. Children don't deserve this, ever. It makes me sick. He looks like such a sweet little boy. Every time I read about this case, I just feel sick. I pray he's okay, but if he isn't, whoever did this has a horrible road ahead of them. It makes me sick to think about it.
ReplyDelete@Lisa, i'm with you. i live about 100 miles north of this crime, AND i work in a school district. we have been watching this very closely. i kept yelling at the TV "look at the stepmom! look at her!" if she did anything to him, she should be prosecuted to within an inch of her life! i wish that he is found safe...reality tells me that most likely he won't be. breaks my heart :'(
ReplyDeleteIf not the stepmother, then SOMEONE he knows well (they have not said one word about the bio mom, is she still alive/around?) because no one just snatched him from the school without being seen. My husband is CSI for real and he says that he would be looking toward school staff that the boy would go with without question, like the janitor.
ReplyDeletekim, the police have done that. they know far more about this case than they're telling us, but come on. looking at the school staff was at the top of their 'to do' list.
ReplyDeleteAny updates on this case? I hav't had a chance to read any news yet. I hope he is found safe, but it sounds like it might not turn out to be. :(
