Joran van der Sloot Back In Peru
Joran van der Sloot is back in Peru after Chilean police brought him to their shared border and turned him over to Peruvian police. The crazy thing yesterday, which some of you reported in the comments was that Joran has also been charged with extortion in the United States. It seems that Joran made a deal with Natalee's mother to tell her the location of Natalee's body in exchange for $250,000. He was given a down payment of $15,000 and I guess expected the rest of it later.
To me, that pretty much shows that he killed Natalee. I can't believe that none of that was released or discussed until after all of this happened in Peru. It should have been huge right from the start. Maybe, just maybe it would have put some pressure on him and he wouldn't have gone to Peru or would have acted differently there and Stephany Flores Ramirez would still be alive.
I know it is easy to second guess, but you know the FBI must be wondering the same thing and the father of Stephany is wondering it too. When the furor of his arrest settles down, I think there are going to be a lot of what if's and a lot of explanations forthcoming from the US Attorney's office about why this wasn't released sooner.
While searching through Google for images of Joran to post here, it shocks me to no end how many photos of him are taken with girls kissing him and hugging him and it makes me want to ask them wtf were they thinking. I also wonder if they are all alive.
"it shocks me to no end how many photos of him are taken with girls kissing him and hugging him and it makes me want to ask them wtf were they thinking."
ReplyDeleteA lot of immature girls love "bad" boys. There are a lot of murderers with girlfriends.
It's the sick thinking of he will kill them but not "me" and he has been at it a long time with seducing girls.
ReplyDeleteI remember a documentary on HBO about women who marry serial killers. It is beyond disturbing. They have no clue that if they were out of jail they would be dead not wives.
so it was her mom who was making the deal? hmm wondered who it would be watching the news last night.
ReplyDeleteIt's possible the girls he was photographed with didn't know about the allegations against him.
ReplyDeleteMorning news commented on how he had cut his hair short and dyed it. A hotel worker overheard an argument between dickhead and Stephany. I guess she had won big at the poker table and he may have wanted and/or stolen the money.
ReplyDeleteOh sure, he's innocent all right.
This guy has about a 0% of survival in Peru's jail. Check this video, Peru jail starts at 26:19 -

WHAT THE HELL IS NATALIE'S MOTHER THINKING???!!!
ReplyDeleteI relish the thought of him spending decades in a Peruvian prison.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same as Sue Ellen. Although Natalee was big news here and Aruba, it may not have been known in Peru or other countries.
ReplyDeletebeth is no dummy, she either was setting him up all a long or is desperate for any kind of closure.
ReplyDeleteyou really can't blame her.
Enty, i want to see every country with a stamp on his passport to search their unsolved dissapearances/murders when he was there. i bet there are more.
He was also caught on tape trying to make a deal to sell girls into an Amsterdam prostitution ring.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the girls didn't know about him before, I didn't know about him until you posted it here. It's a big story in the U.S but not so big compare to what happens in Latin America. I'm glad he got caught!
ReplyDeleteThe charges were incidental to the murder, if I understand the timing correctly. It just so happened that as the US was getting ready to charge him .. he murdered this girl in Peru.
ReplyDeleteIn any event, I hope he spills about where Natalee's body can be located - I am assuming it is off shore somewhere. Then .. after several weeks of being the prisoners play thing .. he can be killed slowly in prison, for all I care, as I am sure there are more dead girls around the world courtesy of this scuzzball.
Google "Van de Sloot Sex Bangkok" and wonder how many Thai girls he probably killed.
This story is just beyond creepy. I hope this psycho goes to prison for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about HIS parents. They defended him during the Natalee stuff, they are partially responsible as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree Audrey and karma is truly a bitch. Joran's father dropping dead on a tennis court at only 57 speaks volumes to me.
ReplyDeleteEver since I saw that guy's undercover video convo's with this psycho I've been wanting him to get caught.
ReplyDeleteHe deserves whatever comes to him.
Thanks for keeping us up-to-date Ent!
his father is dead. and he is a total narcissistic sociopath. i am so ready for the Peruvian prisoners to take him out of this world.
ReplyDeleteYou know what I don't get? The guy is not remotely attractive. Ick.
ReplyDeleteIf he hasn't told where he hid Natalie's body in the last five years after he killed her I doubt very seriously if he'll suddenly do it now.
ReplyDeleteI wondered - watching this coverage this morning - how many women were going to come forward and say that he drugged and raped them but they never reported it. They found date rape drugs in the victim's car.
ReplyDeleteThe profiler they had said he isn't a serial killer, but a serial rapist with rage issues. She said the manner of death was "overkill". Disgusting.
Enty - is there any chance he can claim something that will let him leave Peru? I know his father has died, but his Holland doing to stand behind him or (hopefully) let justice be served. Remember
Good point @jax and others--he probably HAS killed other girls too.
ReplyDeleteAnd this one was five years to the DAY from Natalee. Crrrreeeeepy
Here is a news story from a TV station in Alabama with a little more about the extortion case.
ReplyDeleteWe can hope though .. not on my dollar. We can surely hope ..
@Wil,
ReplyDeleteyes we can hope but I get the feeling that this guy gets off on torturing women and part of that torture is Natalee's mom begging for information on where her body is buried. This maniac controls the closure of Natalee's whereabouts and laying her body to rest so the crazy f--k won't tell.
I agree, there's no way he hasn't killed other women, he just didn't get caught.
ReplyDeleteOn second thought we probably have a better chance of someone else telling where he hid the body if he confided in them. This happened in Illinois. It was called "The Brown's Chicken Murders". Several people were gunned down in a robbery one night and no one could figure out who did it. It took almost ten years before they found out who did it. One of the murder's girlfriend finally confessed. She said that she was too scared to tell but finally got up the courage.
ReplyDeleteSo hopefully someone close to him knows where the bodies are buried and will eventually tell the police.
That's "murderers"
ReplyDeleteThe U.S. Feds were trying to meet him with the rest of the money in a place where he could be arrested. They did not want to publicize that they were after him until they had him in custody, but he went to Peru and murdered Stephany first
ReplyDeleteI also heard that Stephany had won big at the casino and that he was probably after her winnings.
Aruba did not have enough evidence against him to take him to court and win, even though they must have been sure he killed Nathalee. Knowing and proving are two different things.
I think Van Der Sloot is Dutch for "Kennedy".
ReplyDeleteMan, how tall is this guy? He looks huge! I read on this site the other day that even the people in his family were afraid of him, and if he was as physically imposing as he seems, I can understand why. What I don't understand is how any woman could find him remotely attractive, other than young, naive girls impressed by his apparent high-roller lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteResponding to myself: That was obviously the secret to any success he had with women. That and the date rape drugs.
ReplyDelete@SJ - I agree; Van de Sloot is unattractive but I sincerely hope that the brutal prison population finds him appealing.
ReplyDeleteBeaten with a baseball bat, missing an eye, neck snapped with bare hands....Had this case been handled appropriately from the beginning (he confessed to Natalie's murder on hidden camera video!!!) this woman would still be alive. He's been caught on tape involved in human trafficking/prostitution/confessing to Natalie's murder there is no excuse why this additional murder could not have been prevented.
ReplyDeleteEveryone should ban Aruba from future travels.
Looks like they may have found Stacy Peterson, too. I hope this is true and that Drew f'ed himself over:

Let me preface this by saying that I have no doubt that he murdered Natalie, the latest girl and probably many other girls. However, this extortion charge doesn't prove he murdered Natalie. Perhaps if he had actually given the real location of Natalie's body. But since he didn't, I am sure a good attorney would argue "yep, my client's an evil jerk who took advantage of a woman convinced he killed her daughter to get money, but he's no killer."
ReplyDeleteAgain, I totally believed he killed Natalie and I hope he finally gets what is coming to him and is now WAY overdue.
I remember right after the Natalee case, even with it being wide known in Aruba even, Joran still always had girls around. Same when he lived in the Netherlands for a bit. Hell, he had the whole island of Aruba thinking he was innocent, so i guess if you were of that mentality (idiotic) then you might believe what he was selling. Like I said before, I read both of the books on this case and it is UNREAL the amount of shit this sociopath got away with.
ReplyDeleteHopefully NOT for too much longer.
They were probably WAITING for him to give the location of the body before they went public. DAH!
ReplyDeletei tried to read up on this case, but i couldnt figure out what happened to the two people that were with him? Are they completely cleared of all suspicion now?
