Jodie Foster Allegedly Batters 17 Year Old Boy
So, you are at The Grove (shopping mall in LA) to see a movie with your girlfriend. You are 17 years old and see one of your favorite movie stars of all time. Jodie Foster. Jodie is with her two children, but you want a picture so you take one. You then walk over to the valet area but Jodie Foster follows you. Is she following you thinking you want an autograph?
Well, no. According to the police report filed by the father of the 17 year old, Jodie poked the boy in the chest, grabbed his arm and said, "Do you even have a mother you slime ball?"
Whoa. Harsh words from Jodie. The boy then apologized and said he was scared of Jodie. I can see that. At one point one of Jodie's sons came up to the 17 year old and apologized for his mom's behavior.
Jodie gets a pass from Ryan. I can't imagine how she feels to this day after her experiences with John Hinkley. Just sayin'. She didn't shank the kid.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ryan and also I am sensitive to celebs being photographed when they are around/with their children. Too many psycho's and kidnappers out here and you just never know.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know why she left Cindy? Mid-life crisis?
ReplyDeleteA police report for being poked in the chest? Really? What a stupid father. I am not saying that if it happened it was kind, but, really??
ReplyDeleteryan, that's called celeb justice and is no fucking excuse for being a dickbag. lots of people survive tons of shit in their lives and don't get a pass for harassing a 17yo.
ReplyDeleteand im pretty sure Jodie knows the diff between a 17yo fan and a pap.
ReplyDeletethe fact the kid came back to apologize for his mom speaks VOLUMES about their homelife.
Yikes. Not cool, Jodi. Not cool.
ReplyDeleteI think this was a total dick maneuver on Jodie's part. Get a grip, woman!
ReplyDeleteInappropriate on her part.
ReplyDeleteShe could have asked nicely: "Please don't take photographs, I'm with my children."
If she felt threatened, the proper way to handle it was to ask mall security for help. Or SHE should have been the one to call the cops.
maybe it was a dick maneuver, but I don't think that it warrants a police report. What next? Pictures of the place on his chest that was red and since went away? I mean I totally get that people shouldn't violently touch people, but I don't have people taking pictures of me all the time, and I can see that is as intrusive as being poked on the chest. Oh, and have you seen 17 year olds lately? They look like grown ass men to me. I say pass, too.
ReplyDeletePass from me too. Who needs a stranger popping up and taking your picture when with your kids. Are paps allowed inside the mall? If not, she didn't expect someone with a camera. The kid was rude, and Jodi told him off. The kid's father would rather file a police report (do I see a civil case?) than teach his son manners.
ReplyDeleteI think there's more to this than meets the eye. She's the favorite actress of a 17 year-old?
ReplyDeleteI see your point Jax, but I'm still giving her a pass. Sorry. Not that I am super passionate about it either way. Just sayin.
ReplyDeletePass from me too. The entitled brat should have shown some respect and restraint. Not sure if I would be over the Hinkley thing either.
ReplyDeleteThere is something fishy about this. I think this family wants MONEY!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Celebitchy's write up on it:
http://www.celebitchy.com/104507/did_jodie_foster_violently_attack_a_17-year-old_paparazzo/
She gets a pass from me too.
She went overboard. So did the dad. Way to teach your kid to be a pussy.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. You DO have a point, there, Sandy...
ReplyDeleteBut even an uninvited tap on someone else can be construed as assault.
The dick part to me was her "Do you even have a mother, you slime ball?" comment.
Maybe he doesn't! But who gives an eff if he does or not? Cunty girl on GMA yesterday has a mother and look where it got her!
17 is not a child. Please. I don't believe for a second the boy was traumatized by this, and if he was, he should have some respect for "his favorite movie star" and leave her alone, especially since she was with her children. A real fan knows that celebrities are constantly photographed and followed, and when they have children, they are protective. I've rarely seen photos of Jodie's children, and there is a reason for that. She is a private person and she should be left alone to live her life normally, a right most of us take for granted, especially when it looks like shes spending time with her children.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame her one bit, and I think there is more to this, perhaps monetary ambitions on the son and father's part. Why snap a photo vs. perhaps walking up politely and requesting a photo with her and her only? It doesn't make sense. Its rude. Teenagers are not idiots, you think he didn't know he could sell that photo?
My 2cents.
One more thing, a 17 yr old boy says that Jodie Foster is one of his favorite movie stars of all time? I'm calling BULLSHIT on that.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the poster above that 17 years old is NOT a kid, and it is NOT okay to take a picture of someone with their kids present without asking. Jodie may have overreacted a bit, but to file a police report was ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteFrom Dlisted:
ReplyDeleteUPDATE: Jodie's rep says the dude is full of lies. The rep tells People, "This guy was most definitely a professional paparazzo. He had a large camera bag and 1000mm telephoto lens. He tailed Jodie and followed her all the way from the movie theater to the valet. He crowded her and her two young children and took photos of them the whole time. This guy's behavior was completely inappropriate. and the police report is a fabrication of the incident."
F*** the annoying papparazzi, we've all seen how they behave. Team Jodie.
Definitely an overreaction.
ReplyDeleteAll of these celebrities complain about paps and all the hullaballoo at the malls, etc. Although I don't think I would care for that either, it does go with the territory and is part of the way they earn their obscene paychecks. If you stop having fans, you're not too bankable.
The kid should have asked, yes. Filing a police report is going too far, yes. But her reaction is far above what was appropriate.
What a jerk. I'm with the Team Jodie.
ReplyDeleteIs Jodie arguing that all children must have a female and male parent in order to be treated as human beings? Cuz that would be a dick move, and pretty effing ironic.
ReplyDeletelol@Barton Fink...I totally didn't catch that!
ReplyDelete@ Syko, did you read Lisa's update?
ReplyDeleteI watched interviews done with very young paparazzo's, 14 and up - and they are recruited because they can seamlessly blend into crowds. No one would suspect a teen to snap their pic and earn thousands of dollars for it.
I don't agree that fans can take it that far btw. I love Danny Pudi, and he was in Chicago a few weeks ago. He was flanked by two leggy blondes and was constantly being approached, photographed etc. I smiled in his direction and he smiled back and I went about my way. I don't need to rush over and get a signature or snap away, and I always carry my digital camera in my bag. Everyone deserves some privacy, at least thats how I was raised.
I do however think if you are in movies etc, you are not allowed to complain about how you have to maintain your figure etc. I feel if you are earning a crazy amount of $$$ you can afford a trainer and to eat well, and a stylist. That I can agree on, but stalked and harassed? No.
Ah-ha...I was refraining from commenting until her side of the story was told. I am not her #1 fan or anything but she doesn't strike me as someone that would go off for no reason.
ReplyDeletejax, you are so fucking crazy. really. you go from one extreme to the other. it's okay for shia to go into someone's car and grab a lens due to harassment, but not for jodie to tell off a 17 y/o who's an adult. and more than likely a pap who has a parent that's a pap too.
ReplyDeleteYes, TraLaLa, the update was posted while I was typing. I don't necessarily believe anyone in this, not even Jodie's rep, though. But I'll be happy to delete my post if it's bothering you.
ReplyDeleteA 17 year old would probably not realize that Jody is perhaps one of the most private celebs there is.
ReplyDeletelike it or not, if she touched him, it's assault. i don't know if she did or not, but that's the law.
ReplyDeleteshe could have handled it much better.
i'm with jax on this. jeez, chill ms foster.
ReplyDelete@jacks smokes crack- clever name,coward.
ReplyDeletehoney, its called a fucking opinion and generally people have different ones for different situations.
now,who else has too much fucking time on their hands?
About 6 years ago my little brother and I were in a bookstore and Alyn McCauley, then playing for the Maple Leafs came in, carrying his daughter. (I actually bumped him slightly in the X-Mas crowds) and said I'm so sorry, as I turned around and suddenly though "Holy Hell, that's Alyn McCauley!" He said sorry to me! I collected my brother (wearing the Leafs jersey I'd bought him an hour ago, it was crying out to be signed....) and he said "I would love his autograph, but he's with his daughter." There were idiot boys shouting "Go Leafs Go" and all trying to get a camera phone up, or call their friends (Alyn was polite and basically ignored it all, they were told off by another shopper) but I think about that whenever I hear about anything like this. I can't see this going down just as the boy's father claims. My little bro was mature enough to make his statement, he was 18, and he loves the Leafs, and Alyn, so if he was such a fan... I just, well, Team Jodie...
ReplyDeleteI gotta give her a pass. She doesn't go out causing a scene or expecting to get her and her children photographed, and if anything I admire that she would likely be upset by that. Far too many celebs are quick to whore out their own children to make a few bucks.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the boy was probably scared, and he did no real harm. She should not have poked him in the chest, but it's hardly a case of assault. If she had pulled a Sean Penn on him, that's a different story.
Team Jodi. By asking if he has a mother, she was asking if he ever learned proper manners. And, since she's one of the sanest members of Hollywood Royalty, I don't think she acted crazy. The kid and his father are digging for gold.
ReplyDeleteJodie embarrassed him in front of his girlfriend, so he's trying to save face by making it look like it's all Jodie's fault.
ReplyDeleteTeam Jodie
PS - I think she asked if he has a mother because she wanted to discuss his behavior with one of his parents.
Pablo, she left her for a younger, hotter woman. I'm still pissed at her for that.
ReplyDeletei'm surprised. let's say it happened just the way he says it did. he took her picture. PERIOD.
ReplyDeleteare all the moms here saying you'd be just fine if she put hands on your kid just for that? i sure as hell wouldn't be.
jax, well we all know that you always have too much time on your hands. i'm no coward, but i'm someone you know quite well. by the way, i haven't done anything that you have not!
ReplyDeleteShe's in the wrong. She touched a 17 year old kid and that's assault.
ReplyDeleteEven if the kid was an annoying pap she had no right to touch him.
unclear story!
ReplyDeletei can understand she was aggressive because she was with her kids .Even someone as Bono is overprotective with his kids!
and i dislike paps pix with celebrities with their kids
bitchy
ReplyDeletewell @ jackssmokescrack - if you're not a coward, why don't you just tell us (and jax) all who you are that she "knows quite well" then? Oh right. Cause you're a coward who insults people behind anonymity. SO LAME.
ReplyDeletewtf? sorry, i'm not defending her on this one. You think it would be okay wiht her if someone did that to her son when he is 17 and still underage? of course not
ReplyDeleteI'll give her a pass on this--if only because we don't know what the kid said to her to set her off. I have no doubts that he is a pro pap, and what kind of money is he going to make on just a picture of Jodie Foster and her kinds at the mall. But Jodie Foster pissed off--there's the bucks.
ReplyDeleteNot cool to put ur hands on kids- she would have taken legal action if the same were done to one of her children.
ReplyDeleteWhy the comment about having a mom? If this is true, especially with the son apologizing, some1 needs to pluck the hair stuck up her arse.
No pass here.
It's pretty well known Jax and RocketQueen are both bad apples from the same rotten tree.
ReplyDeletelaughing at myself as i say this:
ReplyDelete1. see my shia comments, BUT she prolly should not have touched him.
2. see my abby comments. THIS kid at 17 is old enough to, blah, blah.
etc, etc.
and mr. coward, uh, excuse me, "jacks smokes... whatever"
don't tread in unknown, dangerous water. you never know who or what may be lurking.
hey, jax, you got a fan club *snorts with derision*!
Ah, the minions sticking up for Queen B again.
ReplyDelete17 is not a child, sorry.
ReplyDeleteOld enough to enlist in the military.
Old enough to be tried as an adult.
Old enough to know better.
Etc, etc.
What I love most about this article is that it is half the story with no update because the author does not like Jodie Foster and tried to persuade us to dislike her as well. Well played and fail. Mostly everyone, except Jax and probably Jax's other names were team Jodie. So put that in your sandwich and eat it!
ReplyDeleteShelly, maybe you should have a chat with "Laura" before you start bashing people for using multiple names, lol!
ReplyDeleteoh i'm just doing what jax "the jackal" does all the time. it's only fun when others are the prey, right? someone is learning a valuable lesson.
ReplyDeleteand mooshki, i feel sorry for you.
if the jackal can dish it, she surely can take it!
Preach it Jacks!
ReplyDeleteLol @ Laura. Ouch, that really hurts coming from someone else hiding behind anonymity. Go back to your lies site, you bore me.
