Jason Bateman Says No One Booed
Jason Bateman took to his Twitter to tell the world that no one booed or hissed at him when he cut the line at the iPhone launch last week. He says, "There wasn't one boo. Not one hiss. The Apple guy brought me in away from the paparazzi. Period. I was content in line. I wish I'd stayed."
Well, he could have said no.
give the guy a break ,he only stood in line inside instead of outside. did not pass go and collect $200..lol.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he should just keep his mouth shut about it. Usually when you try and defend yourself over something like, you come across as a bigger jerk. I think most people were ok with it. If he keeps defending himself and trying to justify it, people who were ok with it at first might start changing their minds.

I don't think it's a big deal, like he said the guy brought him in away from the paps...but you don't explain it by saying no one booed. That's like saying preferential treatment is ok as long as no one gets mad. It's just a phone folks and celebs get special treatment all the time.

ReplyDeleteIf the paps were around bothering him, he did the polite thing by going into the store. If he was annoyed by the paps, imagine how the others standing in line felt. I'd be happy he was out of the line.
ReplyDeleteI don't hate him for this or anything but maybe next time he should just pay his assistant to wait in line and this kind of situation can be avoided.

ReplyDeleteThey took him inside to escape the paps. He continued to wait in line inside. Why is the media focusing on this guy who seems nice and regular when we have all the Lohans and Hiltons and Kardashians who actually epitomize what they are trying to make Bateman look like? I'd have gone inside too, even if they had hissed and booed. Hot out there on the sidewalk.

ReplyDeleteI saw normal people with "Apple store employee connections" also get into the store sooner than others in line, so I have no problem with him. He could have sent an assistant; I admire him for just standing there with everyone else. Yes, he could have said no...but for some reason it just doesn't bother me. And this is coming from someone who waited over 90 minutes in line for my iPhone. People - normal & movie stars - do a lot worse every day. I still love you, Jason!
