Britney Spears, Candie's & The InStyle "Interview"
InStyle.com basically kneepadded themselves to death with their "interview" of Britney Spears. Showing their desperation for some Candie's ads and to make Britney happy they basically asked her publicist 10 softball questions and then pretended the answers came from Britney. There is no way on this earth that Britney gave those answers. None. I want to hear the tape. Supposedly this all came about because Candie's entrusted the designing of a line by Britney. Seriously? Britney probably doesn't even know that she did this. Candie's did protect themselves by at least having someone watch over her and "co-create" the line with Britney. If Britney herself had been interviewed, and not her publicist, this is how I imagine the same InStyle questions would have been answered.
InStyle.com: How involved were you in the design process?
Britney: For what? Oh? Candie's? Yeah, well, oh can you hang on for a second, my cigarette is out. There we go. Anyway, oh yeah, design process. One of my assistants asked if I liked these pictures and I said yes. Is that what you are talking about?
InStyle.com: So, it was love at first sight. Do you have a favorite item from the collection?
Britney: I liked everything that didn't have bras. You know I hate bras. My studs don't like it when I wear bras.
InStyle.com: Studs are still a big trend. Were there any other trends you wanted to incorporate?
Britney: I was trying to make sure everything looked good with bare feet. I love jeans and a t-shirt. No bra of course. Something that can hide my patchy extensions.
InStyle.com: How do you describe your own personal style?
Britney: Messy.
InStyle.com: You recently announced on Twitter that the collection would be a limited edition. When will the clothing hit stores?
Britney: I have no idea. I go shopping though everyday so if I see them I will let you know.
InStyle.com: Is there anything you can tell us about the Fall ad campaign?
Britney: Ads? You mean those things that come on during my shows. Oh, no, I don't watch ads. I have that TiVo thing.
Crazy as a bat, but can still pull in endorsements. Amazing. I guess that's way she was so well put together in a recent pic and to help with the lawsuit.
ReplyDeleteLMAO!
ReplyDeleteBritney Spears tunes are my secret guilty pleasure....
ReplyDeleteShe is way more articulate than I thought.
ReplyDeleteIt's Britney, bitch. Gotta say her music is one of my guilty pleasures, too.
ReplyDeleteBlackout was her best album and only because she was so out of it everyone else made the decisions.
ReplyDeleteeven i downloaded it.
she needs to go back and work with the europeans again.
Ha, funnily enough, a friend bought me one of the tops that Britney designed for Candie's a few months ago. It's actually cute, but it has one of those built in bras in it which I found hysterically ironic.
ReplyDeleteI would never ever wear anything Britney wears or endorses. She has zero taste.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the poster above. She has no taste and those clothes are probably not her choice. I don't get the whole "if Britney wears it, I'll buy it", not just refering to Britney but to all celebrities.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Candie's still existed. I had a pair of plastic heeled wedgies circa 1980.
ReplyDeleteI'm also with parissucks and jess - we all KNOW Britney's personal style is the SHITS. Trailer/hillbilly/no bra/uggs - I can't imagine why anyone would even want her "fashion endorsement".
ReplyDeleteHehe, I read this with Britney's hick accent in my head and it made me giggle.
ReplyDeleteAgree with everyone on here that her "style" is hillbilly gross and I would never want to wear it.
Oh, Britney... :)
ReplyDeleteThat interview sound about right, except that in reality Britney would have stopped mid-point for a squirrel sammich, some Dr. Pepper and Cheetos for lunch.
