ABC Is Really Desperate To Get You To Watch Bachelorette
I knew there was a reason I don't watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. It is because ABC and the producers of the show will do anything to manipulate the viewer into believing that everything is real and the participants are in love. Whenever I see one of their promotions or an ad that you cannot miss the next episode I feel used and dirty.
Just when I thought they didn't have any more tricks up their sleeve, ABC has announced that Jake and Vienna are going to reunite on The Bachelorette on July 5th. Please.
Jake had this to say about the reunion. "Hopefully, it's gonna be some closure for me. America was there and stood with at the birth of our relationship, and I think I owe it to them and to myself and Vienna and let everybody be there at the end of it. That everybody understands it was real."
Umm, I don't think anyone believes any of it was real and this just seems to confirm it. All it does show is that I am right to hate this program.
Oh, GAG me, Jake! The only people who care about you is your immediate family and the standard half-brained Bachelorette groupie.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, though, that I LOVE reading reality Steve's blog.. He's a total show spoiler and it's so much better than the actual show itself.
Will not be watching.
ReplyDeletedethpicable!!!
ReplyDeletePuke.
ReplyDeleteHe's gay, duh.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think he is gay too.
ReplyDeletemore boring than a bucket of beige paint..and ze gay.
ReplyDeleteOn a tangent -- It always makes me laugh when I see these "news" outlets say a celeb (especially a reality star) "opens up" about a situation. From the moment they announced their breakup, Jake and Vienna were practically flapping in the breeze with the supposed (scripted?) hows and whys.
ReplyDeleteGive me a break.
Honestly - I don't give a rat's ass who these people are. I hadn't a clue until yesterday when this story went viral. I mean, everyone knows these shows are fixed and the romances are completely fake, right?
ReplyDeleteI don't care for reality shows at all. Don't believe in them.
ReplyDeleteita, enty...the amout of ad $ they're putting into e-blasting the 'cast' is insane...obvious ratings ploy.
ReplyDeleteMike Fleiss is a genius he can take shit and turn it into shitade and ratings are still strong on both shows.
ReplyDeletePeople aren't watching for reality they are watching to buy into the fantasy of love at first sight and happily ever after. Of course it is a crock, but don't tell the middle america housewives that.
Look at Jake's facebook. Dozens an dozens of women posting the silliest things to him about the break up. Like Jake is all hurt and wounded. All he wants is money and fame and prolly man ass.
@timebob
ReplyDeleteEarlier this week you posted this:
I 100% Believe he will show up at the end of "After the Final Rose" on the Bachelorette and see if he can win Ali back as the rumor is she chooses no one at the end of her final 2 choice.
I think you got it right!

ReplyDeleteI would rather see Jake and Ali than Jake and Kate Gosselin. Whoever thought that was a great idea should be shot. It was probably Kate who thought of it. I can't see Jake with a controlling, stumpy old woman with 8 kids.
ReplyDeleteClosure for Jake? Good grief, Vienna, grow a pair and tell this guy and ABC to get lost! No way would I appear on TV so he can get "closure." Screw him and the plane he rode in on!
ReplyDeleteWTF??? Hahahaha....I thought you were going to say Jake and/or Vienna were going to be on the Bachelor(ette) spin off The Bachelor Pad. But this is even better.
ReplyDeleteGuess what Jake, I don't think America really needs an explanation from you. This show has been on for 8 friggin' years. NO ONE IS SURPRISED YOU BROKE UP!
I don't see how that would help ratings. Ali is ok but this season is kind of a snoozer.
Apparently Jake and Vienna taped an interview today on their split. Jake lost his temper and almost slugged Vienna. They had to be seperated and the interview was over. This is on TMZ.
ReplyDeleteI recently realized I haven't watched the Bachelor since about season 4. I thought I watched more than that, but apparently not. I think it just felt longer. I'd love to say "worst show on television" but unfortunately that's no longer true. Gotta be one of the original worst shows though.
ReplyDeleteNot only don't I think the relationship was real but I don't think the people are real either. CGI, every last one of them.
