Hoda & Kathie Lee Go Makeup Free On Today

This morning on Today, Hoda and Kathie Lee went makeup free or so they said. Kathie Lee might have some permanent eyeliner or something because it looks like she might be wearing some. I like this new trend of no makeup and no retouching of photos. They also had shots of Ann Curry and Meredith Viera not wearing makeup.

  1. Good for them! At their age, that took guts! Please, let this trend towards more natural looks continue. Plastic surgery is nasty!

  2. Oh, and who wants to take bets on how much they each had to drink before doing this? ;)

  3. hey normal-what a nice trend...funny how we have to applaud/give covers/etc... these people for being natural women.

Kathy looks like she had some work done...liner or eyelash extensions

  4. I think the no makeup look actually makes Kathy Lee look younger. I loved it. I could tell Hoda was uncomfortable with it. But they both look great.

  5. Makeup artists certainly create some magic from what they are given to work with.

  6. Could somebody tell me when lipstick, mascara and eye shadow was NOT considered makeup?!?!?!?!?! And who wears face paint anymore unless it's a night out!

  7. I guess Kathy Lee doesn't consider mascara makeup, because there is no way her eyelashes would look like they do in that segment. That said, they both look pretty good without the layers of makeup.

  9. It made me uncomfortable. I want my TV personalities to look better than the women I see at the Piggly Wiggly.

  10. They're brave even though Kathie Lee would do anything for attention anyway, but let's don't make this a recurring thing.

  11. I wish they'd shown the men without makeup.

I don't actually see why this is such a big deal. Maybe it's because I live in Northern California, but I see a lot of women who don't wear makeup. I think it looks much healthier.

  12. It shouldn't be a big deal, but I'm glad they did it. With as great as these ladies look au naturel, they should consider using less makeup anyway. It's fine to have fun with makeup, but it's great to not hide behind it.

  13. Kathie Lee said about Rosie: "She just went to far. People just need to learn when to quit."

Umm, did she forget what a c***t she was to Hoda a few weeks ago mocking how much time Hoda had to spend in the makeup chair? Hoda just threw her well deserved shade.
I've never felt anything more than mild annoyance regarding KL, but when I saw that I just thought "That BITCH!"

  15. @_+_=_ Southern gal here....I don't check the mail without full face paint. Last time I went makeup-less (mascara on curled lashes only) on a daily basis was in '08 when hubs and I were in Asia and the Middle East. That area makes 'Bama humidity feel like a hot wet washcloth instead of a hot wet blanket, LOL.

KL looks like my MIL did 20 years ago when DH and I got married.... that's kinda freaking me out!

  16. I love it!!! I've been going through th same issues. I feel so ugly without my makeup that I feel I am not fit for human consumption. I know that's a crazy thought, I must say. I am human, therefore, deal with it!

  17. If *everyone* had perfect skin tone & bone structure, there'd be no need for makeup.

Just sayin' for all you enhancement-hating peeps out there.
