Normally, I would just post Helen Wagner's photo at the top of Random Photos today. As much as I am an As The World Turns fan, I realize that many of you have no idea who Helen Wagner is, or the fact she holds the world record for playing the same character the longest on television. She played Nancy Hughes for 54 years. The reason I am not just posting her photo at the top is because, hey, I am a fan of the show and also because there is a YouTube video of her career highlights. She also was a part of history. She said the first words on the show way back in 1956 and back in 1963 when they still performed the show live she was in mid sentence when CBS broke away to say that President Kennedy had been killed. The woman was walking history. She died at the age of 91.
