Halle vs Gabriel - When Publicists Attack
Everything seemed pretty quiet when the Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry split happened. Everything seemed amicable and it just sounded like some child visitation things needed to be worked out and that's it. Well, now though it has started to become a war of publicists. Oh sure, the tabloids call them sources, but it is definitely publicists and they are picking tabloids to be their conduit. Halle of course chose Kneepads. It makes sense. Therefore every story in there is about how happy Halle is and how she kicked Gabriel out months ago and they are totally on her side. She can do no wrong.
Meanwhile, US Weekly has decided to be the anti-Halle tabloid. They have a quote today from a "friend" of Gabriel's who took the time to trash Halle. "Halle called him a loser," a source tells Us. "She'd rub it in his face that she's an Oscar-winning actress and he's just a model. He couldn't take it anymore."
The article also said how much Gabriel earned last year as a model to show that he isn't a gold digger and isn't a loser. For the record it says he earned $700K as a True Religion model.
His modeling days are numbered. I take it that his publicist is playing dirty because Halle's "parting gift" isn't copacetic.
ReplyDelete$700K??? I gotta start working on my abs (and stop washing my hair)
ReplyDeleteI love me some Halle but I have heard the rumors for years that she is a penny short of a dollar upstairs.
ReplyDeletePlease. I just don't buy that Halle would rub something like that in his face. If so, why bother being with the guy and having a kid with him in the first place if that's how you feel??
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS ALL ABOUT HIM SAYING THE 9 YEAR AGE DIFFERENCE BOTHERED HIM...IN OTHER WORDS HE CALLED HER OLD...
ReplyDeleteNO ACTRESS IS GOING TO STAND FOR THAT...
I'VE HEARD HALLE IS A LITTLE NUTTY ALSO...
34 is kinda old for a model. Don't get me wrong he is heaven on legs.
ReplyDeleteSounds to me they just grew apart and both traveled the world. 5 years is longer then most Hollywood relationships last.
She does come across as extremly needy and vunerable in interviews. Maybe that is what attracted him at first. But after 5 years that gets pretty tiring.
Too bad the PR's couldn't keep it classy.
Shazzzba - you are so right! As soon as I read that "age difference" business, I thought to myself - that is damning a person with faint praise, and basically he's calling her old.
ReplyDeleteNot surprisingly, her people have been on the attack. I question whether that's good judgment on their part - I mean, in a few months people aren't really going to remember him, except as a pretty boy/model and she'll still be an Oscar winning actress. And he'll look ridiculous for dumping on one of the most beautiful women in the world. To me it's a net positive for her. Totally unnecesary in my books
Souns like a show on animal planet-"When Publicists Attack!"
ReplyDelete*sounds
ReplyDeleteShe is 43. That's ancient in hollywood.
ReplyDeleteI've heard bad things about Halle over the years. She on my list of women I would never take out for lunch.
ReplyDeleteHALLE CAREER IS STALLED SHE MADE SOME BAD CHOICES AFTER HER FLUKE OSCAR (YES IT WAS ONE OF THOSE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN LOOKING PLAIN OSCAR'S)
ReplyDeleteAND HASN'T DONE ANYTHING I CAN THINK OF LATELY...SHE NEEDS A HOT HBO OR SHOWTIME SERIES....
I CAN'T SEE HALLE AS A WOMAN WHO LIKES OTHER WOMEN....SHE PREFERS THE COMPANY OF MEN...
hmmm. such a shame. i do hope aubrey has skills outside of modeling tho...he's got that beautiful little baby to raise and support.
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree that she is overrated. I think her Oscar winning role was terrible - and as a black woman I found it very offensive. Angela Bassett and Vanessa Williams turned that crap DOWN, and Angela is an actor who was robbed of an Oscar.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Halle will probably continue her career in some forgettable roles and stay in the public eye doing red carpets and selling crap. But I think she's done in terms of relevant parts and performances.
I also get the crazy vibe from Halle in interviews, I think she makes herself "important" in the relationship and it is all about her of course.
ReplyDeleteWho cares what happened? That hot piece of man-candy is on the market!! I'm not technically available (15 years married, but nothing's carved in stone), but a gal can still dream.
ReplyDeleteCall me, Gabriel.
ReplyDeleteI always liked Halle for that blind about the actress who threw the stifling boring dinner parties where everything had to be just so. Her guest couldn't wait to leave.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't she have enough money that she doesn't have to do anything for the rest of her life??? And, really, you just should never be with a man who makes less money than you. Does that ever work out?? I think not! Streisand is just lucky. Didn't work for Madonna, and many others.
