ReplyDeleteRonson!
ReplyDeleteIF IT'S RONSON, THERE ARE LOT'S OF EX'S
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Mark Ronson.
ReplyDelete"tore a strip off"??
ReplyDeleteWhat does that mean?
Is Daisy Lowe the ex?
ReplyDeleteyeah, can someone translate?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess that "tore a strip off of her so-called mate" means she scratched his face.
ReplyDeletecalifblondy - I took it to mean that she laced into him.
ReplyDeleteI think she wigged out on the ex, then turned and lit into her friend, as well.
ReplyDeleteReally? I'm kind of surprised people don't know what "to tear a strip off someone" means - it means to yell at/scorn out. Is it just Americans that don't know the expression?
ReplyDeleteThat being said, this is a boring blind.
Well, this American never heard that expression before, but there are lots of expressions used here that I don't know. I had to ask about this one though 'cuz "tearing a strip" made me think about hair removal.
ReplyDeleteBut Lisa (original) didn't know what it meant either, and when I first read the blind on BlindGossip, a lot of people were asking there. I just thought it was common knowledge.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely thought hair removal as well. Never heard that expression, just not part of the American lexicon I guess. Sounds like a fun phrase, though!
ReplyDeleteTore a strip off = Bitched him out.
ReplyDeleteBut why is it a big deal if they are exes? Does that mean he can't speak to any of her friends? Sounds as if there's a LOT more to the story.
I'm going to say Simon Cowell. My heart's not really in it, but--Simon Cowell.
