Betty White On SNL

Because of my internet problems yesterday I didn't get to talk about lots of things I wanted to. So, if you have already seen something or are sick of it, I'm sorry but you have to realize I get used to expressing and yesterday I couldn't do anything. I was so frustrated yesterday that I actually worked. Oh, and played about 500 hands of solitaire. My fastest time to win was 58 seconds. Having no internet sucks!!!!

Betty White was on SNL this weekend and her appearance gave the show its highest ratings in 18 months. Here are some of the highlights. Oh, the NPR one was good, but I CAN'T wait until Alec Baldwin in the season finale. Oh how I loved Schwetty Balls.

This was the dress rehearsal for the Bronx Beat sketch.

  2. I haven't watched, nevermind laughed at, SNL since the early/late 90's. Weekend update was hilarious with all the old cast members.

  3. I haven't watched SNL since the 80's but last Saturday night, my hubby & I made a point of watching it. We had a blast watching QUEEN BETTY WHITE. The whole show was amazing.

  4. Not only was she hilarious, she is truly an inspiration. I hope I have even half as much sparkle when I'm her age! Hell, I hope I live to be her age!

  5. Betty was amazing. Loved the CSI:Sarasota bit, but then I am partial since that's where I live.

    Funniest SNL in years.

  6. I was so upset to have missed her SNL appearance. I'm not going to watch any of these videos so I can catch the entire thing when it comes on rerun :) However, I"m very glad to hear she rocked it!

  10. Florence Dusty is an instant classic. It's amazing how BW can hold her own.

  11. I agree with shazzzba, lots of the material was weak, but she made the absolute most of it. The mark of a true artist, making crap smell like roses. Honestly, the writing on SNL has absolutely sucked for about the last five or six years. I think it's at an all time un-funny low. This episode was a welcome uptick. Betty White rules!

  13. @RJ - ain't that the Gospel? That being said, not only did Ms. White utterly rule the airwaves, the decision to use the talented alumni of SNL (you know, the ones who went on to have actual careers) was inspired genius.
With that much sheer talent assembled in one place, I'm honestly suprised Lorne Michaels' head didn't explode.
