Someone Hired Miley Cyrus For A New Movie?

Apparently the people who are doing the casting for LOL didn't watch The Last Song. Apparently they never read a review of it either. I say this because as she walked the red carpet for the premiere of Last Song, she kept reminding people that she would be co-starring with Demi Moore in the remake of the French movie with the same title.

I had heard about this a couple weeks ago, but that was before all the reviews had started to come in with this movie. I was hoping they would change their mind and cast someone who could actually act and would bring some kind of depth to the character. Make no mistake, although Demi Moore will be top billed, much like Sophie Marceau was in the French version, the movie's title and star is Lola which is shortened to LOL. Miley calls the role edgy, and I think in the French version, Lola had a sex scene with nudity. I somehow don't think Miley will be doing that as much as she wants to.

  1. I would rather see Rumer taking the role than to see Miley do it. If I wanted the movie to do well, I would suggest Emma Stone for the part, but I can't see Emma going for a part like that.

  2. The sooner people give her a bunch of work and then see no return from it, the sooner she will go away. At least that is what I'm hoping for!

  3. Unfortunately her movie "The Last Song" is making boot loads of money, so Hollywood will keep casting her while she's bankable. But here's the thing, her fan base can't get into an R movie, so if she tries making a sexy, edgy movie it will fail. She's probably too vain to realize this.

  4. I miss the days when ACTORS who studied and worked on their craft, ACTED. Now anyone with a name is given a role even when they are the worst actress around, I.E. Beyonce, Miley, etc.

  5. I thought it was a movie about teenagers texting each other.

MontanaMarriott, me too! TV is probably even worse than the movies since EVERYONE is getting a reality show and I am much more interesting than many of those people and wonder why nobody has seen fit to line my pockets with simoleons and make me famous, but such is life. But of all the "stars" out there, there are probably not 20 actual good actors among them. Says something for the state of the world.

  8. There are lots of little girls who will go running to the movies to spend their hard earned allowances on a Miley movie.

Personally I think Miley has an incredibly unpleasant voice, both her speaking and singing voice. Gravelly, flat and not kind on the ear.

  10. Ugh. I agree that she's gonna keep getting cast as long as her movies do well. HEr fans bring 'em in!

As for the movie...LOL?? What a terrible title. It will sound as dated as "You've Got Mail" sounded the year after it came out.

Jess, she does talk weird and is very annoying. You know the way she talks sounds like someone wearing dentures. LOL

  12. Very funny, Enty.
This ranks up there with your joke that Jessica Simpson was going to remake "Grease" with a Country Western soundtrack.
Step away from the buffet...the MSG has gone to your head.
