I can't really tell from the words whether Rufus Wainwright is joking or if he really believes 50 Cent is gay, but he definitely does call 50 Cent gay in a Details Magazine interview.
"I love, love 50 Cent. I think he's just the sexiest, and a brilliant writer. And I know he's gay."
Rufus says it is because of 50's voice. He also says that 50 Cent is invited over for dinner and dessert anytime he wants to come over.
My friends think I'm crazy, but I have ALWAYS thought 50 was gay.

ReplyDeleteI thought those comments were a little unnecessary. 50 has issues with gay people, lots of gay people hate him for really reprehensible comments he's made in the past, and I think it was just an attempt by Wainwright to anger him.

ReplyDeleteThe Black oriented gossip sights have been saying for years that 50 Cent is on the DL. I think Wainwright was being provocative to try to stir up controversy though.

ReplyDeleteI know nothing about either of these people but a lot of times those in denial (of anything) are the biggest bashers of it. Just as there are black racists, there are gay homophobes.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if it's true, but I'm sure he's way on the DL and will do whatever is necessary to stay that way. The entire DL culture is fascinating to me, and not in the good way.
Rapper Rick Ross made a mix tape bashing 50 (they have an on going rivalry) and he calls 50 and 50's friend and fellow rapper Lloyd Banks gay (I think he even mentions them giving oral sex to men) and says he knows for sure its true...

ReplyDeleteTrue story--a friend of mine who was EXTREMELY promiscuous in high school & college committed suicide last year. Another friend of mine who is gay said he wanted to friend her as a gay friend back when they were 12, but didn't know how to approach her.
ReplyDeleteHe said as soon as he met her in 7th gay he knew she was also gay. After she died, we found out she was a lesbian & left a partner behind. It was such a sad story. I held her hand through abortions & horrible episodes of being used by guys.
This girl was sexually active by 13. Sometimes another gay person can pick up on something the rest of us may not see. My poor friend was probably fighting her urges the only way she knew how when we were younger. Rufus Wainright may be picking up on something.
