Does anyone think Mariah Carey is even trying for a baby? Oh, I think she loves the stories about her possibly being pregnant and the attention it provides her, but I just don't think Mariah is really all that interested in diverting attention away from herself which is what she would have to do if she was pregnant. Plus, there is only so much work that Nick Cannon can do.
Over the weekend, tabloids used the excuse of curvy pictures of Mariah to say she looked pregnant and to run pregnancy stories. I think lots of times tabloids just want to show pictures of curves or someone they think is fat and use pregnancy as an excuse to post them. The woman is 40 years old. Yes, she dresses like she is 13, but it is ok to have curves and not to be pregnant. She is happy with her body and I think that's great. The tabloids should be running headlines about how Mariah loves her body and not pregnancy stories because she looks curvy.
Mariah is too self obsessed and entirely to vain to have a child. The only children she has are her dogs.

ReplyDeleteMariah is 41 years old...it is generally accepted that 41 is too old to have children (for a number of reasons). That's why I think it is hilarious that anyone is speculating that she is pregnant.
ReplyDelete41 is NOT too old to have a baby. Chances become slimmer & complications become greater, yes, but it is still quite possible.

I have no idea why ppl think she is 'fat' ! Jesus. I know many times she brings the criticisms on herself by wearing sizes too smaller or inappropriate for her body type but I think she actually has a great body!
ReplyDeleteKinda fleshy but definitly not 'thick', she doesnt have a pouchy stomach,nor overtly large hips or arms. I just think ya'll are wrong to say she is overweight. Thats just feeding into the icky Hollywood standard that does nothing but continue to oppress women and send them back decades.

I don't think she's fat either, but I'm amazed she doesn't tilt forward with those boobs! It's unfortunate that large-breasted women are often considered to be fat.

I'm sure to all of you I am horribly ugly & fat but guess what? I'm enjoying my life. I'm not starving, exhausted, & bitchy. I don't deny myself anything. While some people are obsessing over how many calories are in that breath of air they just took, I'm sitting back, having fun, drinking wine & beer and having a delicious snack. And having a great time.
she isn't happy w/ her body at all. she knows she's gained weight and god love her...everything she wears reeks of denial...if weight gain is an issue for most women, how much more so for a women in the public eye...she can run but she can't hide. poor thing.

Wow! I think that was the first time I've read a rational response to Mariah's weight gain; which, as you so correctly pointed out, looks fine for a woman who just turned 40. She's not supposed to have a flat rear, no hips, or boobs like a teenager (even if she DOES dress like one). I think she looks great. Yeah, she looks a LOT different than the young girl who left me speechless when I first heard her sing "Vision of Love" but she's still just as beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI thought she looked great until about 6 months ago - defended that she made herself look fat, when she wasn't. I agree, she wears clothes that are too small, and do not flatter her figure. But she has been gaining a significant amount of weight- look at her face, and her legs.

@portlandgirl, I do not know where you are getting your information, but 41 is not too old to have a baby. It maybe harder, but not impossible. Actually, my gyno was telling mo about how many over 40 women keep getting pregnant thinking they can't and stop using birth control. I have a friend who got pregnant at 46, naturally, so it does happen.

High fashion (and fabulous gays) are all about women who look like teenage boys with boobs, So I'd say good for Mariah.
I'm sorry guys but she is getting borderline fat imo. it wouldn't even matter except she insists on dressing like she's 40 lbs lighter and 20 yrs younger. It looks like classic alcoholic bloat to me.
