In Touch is out this week and inside it's pages is an interview with a guy who was the Little League coach for Larry King and Shawn Southwick's children. He said that within two weeks of meeting Shawn they were having sex and that it continued for years. Apparently her favorite thing to do was to have sex in Larry's bed while Larry King Live was on television. He says that Larry knew bout the affair but didn't care because Larry is a sex freak and was too busy having sex with Shawn's sister. Do you think Larry has false teeth, and if so, does he take them out when having sex?
As for the rest of the cover, if you had a chance to date Kate Gosselin, would you? Nope. I just don't see the positives. I also love how they put Kim's name right on her vay jay jay.

c) Growing up over here (outside the US), I was under the impression that Larry King was this really important, authoritative figure in journalism - a proper legend - and that being in his show was an honour and it meant that the person had "made it".
Ever since actually starting to WATCH the show, I see that it's absolutely no bastion of journalistic quality, and that pretty much any level of fame or infamy is good enough to book you a seat or a video link to the show.
So, my question: why is this crap still on the air, and why is he getting paid so much money?

ReplyDeleteShmooey, your question could apply to 90% of the programming on television, I don't know how that stuff gets on the air or why the people who take part in it are so wealthy. But thank you for your a), I do get tired of the attitude that nobody over 40 is having sex, should be having sex, or is capable of enjoying sex.

Shmooey, he was one of the originals at CNN, helped build the empire. He was their big interview guy and they would fight for 'exclusives' at the beginning of the cable era. He used to be better, he just got very old and very complacent. He's like CNN's mascot now.

Schmooey, I don't get why Larry gets huge stars and people at the center of something major. Who on earth would chose to be interviewed by him when he doesn't have a friggin' clue what's going on? I cringe watching him stumble through his notes or when he says something totally off-topic or incorrect. Half the time I don't think he even knows who he's interviewing.

Right on, Schmooey. I agree with Libby - he may have been a coupe before but now he is a joke. He lobs softballs at everyone. I'm guessing all but the first wife married him for his money.

I've been reading that he doesn't prepare for his interviews, that he mistook Roman Polanski for Charles Manson, and other mistakes...
Funnily, the last time I watched his show was about a month and a half ago, and it was a show about Tiger Woods, and he had a bunch of people saying what they thought of him, and what his wife should do... And all the time he was sitting there thinking "Yeah, I'm kind of doing the same. At least Tiger stayed away from Elin's blood relatives."
How is he going to address this?
Is he going to do a show and have people on to say what they think of him and what he's been doing and how his wife should react, or will he just ignore it and do a show discussing someone else's personal life? Sandra Bullock and Jesse James? The Gosselins?

ReplyDeleteyes they do, my grandfather had it done. It's expensive but a lot safer than having you teeth falling out when you eating a steak, besides you don't have to worry about mouth diseases as much as you do with false teeth.
--BTW, I don't believe Larry is a sex freak...ewwww
If dentures fit properly they don't fall out while you eat a steak, and if you use good oral hygiene, you don't get diseases.
