This should really be a Four For Friday, but it is so good, I couldn't wait the two days to share. Anyway, this former B list movie actress who calls herself an actress but doesn't appear to actually work anymore had a celebrity boyfriend recently. Things looked really hot and heavy but then it was over in an instant. No one even noticed. Why? Well the celebrity boyfriend had an STD that keeps on giving for a lifetime. He has dated lots of actresses in the past. One is an A list television actress while the other is a B list movie actress. He gave it to the A lister, but neither of the B listers.
#1 - Former B list actress
#2 - Celebrity boyfriend
#3 - A list television actress
#4 - B list movie actress
He gave her HERPES. No idea need to think about it. MoRE clues MAN!
ReplyDeleteMy head hurts after reading this one.
ReplyDeleteSo this is a long shot just to get people thinking:
ReplyDelete#1 - Emmy Rossum
#2 - Adam Duritz
#3 - Jennifer Anniston
#4 - ??

ReplyDeleteThese blind items are becoming more like Advanced Maths every day. My head is spinning from reading it, never mind trying to work out this equation.
ReplyDeleteI do understand one thing: the latest girlfriend jumped ship when she found out that he had herpes.
Good for her.
Ooh, I like AEB's guess a LOT.
ReplyDeleteAdam Duritz has allegedly dated Winona Ryder.
Didn't Adam also date Courtney Cox?
ReplyDeleteYes, he did date Courtney Cox. What do all these ladies see in him? Maybe he is very well endowed.
ReplyDeleteAEB--great guess!!
ReplyDeleteDidnt Lindsay Lohan date some guy in between breaking/making up with Sam Ronson.
ReplyDeleteGreat guess, AEB!
ReplyDeleteI think by "celebrity boyfriend" we must either be looking at a singer, athlete, socialite-type (Brody Jenner-ish) or rich businessman.
Emmy Rossum doesn't fit for #1 - she had 2 movies out last year and will be in the HBO version of the UK tv series "Shameless", so it's not like she doesn't work anymore.
ReplyDeleteShe might fit #4, though.
here's a list of duritz women
ReplyDeleteaccording to this post on huffington
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/29/emmy-rossum-adam-duritzs_n_303227.html
"Adam Duritz Emmy Rossum, Adam-Duritz, Counting Crows, Courteney Cox, Emmy Rossum Divorce, Emmy-Rossum, Jennifer Aniston, Joanna Going, Mary-Louise Parker, Monica-Potter, "
I think Aniston dated Duritz before marrying Brad, so I'm not sure it fits. Further, I don't think Enty would refer to her as a "television actress".
ReplyDeleteI wonder who does NOT have an STD in Hollywood?
ReplyDeleteDoes this blind mean he didn't give it to the B listers because they already had it or because he didn't sleep with them or because they just lucked out and didn't catch it?
ReplyDeletei thought mayer for a second but i don't think it's him. aninston and cox were on the same show at one point so maybe he would mention that
ReplyDeleteI realize Robin Williams is alittle long in the tooth to be called a "boyfriend" however has everyone forgotten about the lawsuit he paid off to the woman who'd claimed he'd given her THE BIG H.....don't forget he is now single.
ReplyDeleteHow about Jeter for the guy? He's dated a boat-load of celeb hotties
ReplyDelete@brum - I think you're right about Lindsay.
ReplyDeleteFormer B-list movie actress who doesn't work any more sort of screams Lidsay Lohan, but I can't think of any celeb boyfriend with whom she was recently hot and heavy. Plus she strikes me as the one who'd be GIVING the diseases, not almost getting them.
ReplyDeleteIf it wasn't for her new show, low-rated though it may be, I'd say it was Jessica Simpson and John Mayer. Or Jessica Simpson and Billy Corrigan. It still could be Jessica, since the new show isn't an "acting" job.
I remember a few years ago the big story was that Colin Farrell was giving herpes to gobs of people. Has he dated any A listers?
ReplyDeleteOooh, Mandy Moore is in the Random Pics, and she never works anymore. Didn't she have some athlete boyfriend? Maybe she fits.
ReplyDeleteTara Reid could also qualify for #1...but I've no idea who she's "dating," and I'm proud of that.
ReplyDeleteMandy was supposed to be a virgin. That doesn't mean that they can't get herpes, but I still am not thinking it's Adam Durwitz either.
ReplyDeleteIf it was Lohan, who would care?
Here's an oldie but a goodie if it helps, but STD doesn't have to mean herpes.

According to the Center for Disease Control, one-sixth of all adult Americans have genital herpes. 16.2 percent! So if you've hosed or been hosed by half a dozen people without protection, you've exposed yourself to it. Scary, huh?
ReplyDeleteRe: the Rx list on smokinggun.com for the actresses listed-- I know 3 people who take drugs that are traditionally prescribed for genital herpes instead for Shingles and other disorders that are in the same family as genital herpes.
ReplyDeleteA prescription does not always mean what you think it means.
Just my two-cents.
1.Minka Kelly
ReplyDelete2.Derrick Jeter
3.Alyssa Milano
4.Jessica Alba
I thought there was a BI about Derek Jeter giving herpes to Jessica Alba.
ReplyDeleteHe dated Mimi for a while, and I think Alyssa Milano too.
Would he fit? What A list TV actress has be been with?
Ah! Penny, you posted while I was writing. Thank you!!!!
ReplyDeletePenny nailed it!!!
ReplyDeletePenny nailed it!!!
ReplyDeleteExcept that Minka and Derek haven't broken up... and Minka isn't a B list movie actress.
ReplyDeletewhat about kirstin dunst for a b list actress who never works anymore? Has she been spotted out with anyone lately?
ReplyDelete1: Rachel Bilson
ReplyDelete2: Derek Jeter
3: Kathryn Heigl
4: Jessica Biel
Sorry, this isn't blind.
Isn't easier to guess who DOESN'T have Herpes in Hollywood? I mean, really, there can't be many. Dakota Fanning maybe.
ReplyDeleteAfter making out with Kristen Stewert in The Runaways, I'm pretty sure Dakota no longer makes the cut.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Minka Kelly in Friday Night Lights? So it would appear she actually works. And Alyssa Milano is A-list? Yikes.
ReplyDeleteI still like the Adam Duritz guess.
@Cheryl - I think you have some terminology/disease information confused.
ReplyDeleteTo clarify -
VD = venereal disease, which refers to the group of disease that are typically sexually transmitted. This term fell out of favor in the 90s and was replaced with Sexually Transmitted Disease or STD. They are occasionally referred to as STI's for Sexually Transmitted Infections, but really never VD anymore.
Most STD's are curable, but a few aren't like HIV, HPV and Herpes. But it is Herpes is commonly referred to as the disease that keeps on giving.
@ Enty: Sorry to be a hard-ass, but we didn't get a Four for Friday last week, so I'm considering this one 5 days late. I shall expect another installment in two days! :)
ReplyDeleteAdam "I'm so goofy that these dreads aren't even my real hair--yes, I wear a WIG!!" Duritz dated Jennifer Aniston (and Courtney Cox) years ago and I don't think either could be referred to as A list television or B list movie.
@Jamie's Girl - Mandy was supposed to be a virgin. - Yes... in 2001!
1. Betty White
ReplyDelete2. Herb Edelman
3. Bea Arthur
4. Rue McClanahan
Def. Derek Jeter, trust me. He has the Herp, and has distributed it to half of hollywood
ReplyDeleteemstee22 said...Kirsten Dunst and I think that's it. She fits the description.
ReplyDeleteSo how about:
Kirsten Dunst
Kelly Slater
Pamela Anderson (A-list name recognition for TV)
Cameron Diaz
did everybody forget that mandy moore got married? to ryan adams! :)
ReplyDelete@Mango: In Enty's defense, he did put out the Four for Friday on Monday, 3/22.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I guess I'm an idiot, but I wouldn't have thought Adam was wearing a wig. He'd look better bald than with that stupid wig. Or even if it is his own hair, bald would be better.
FYI - I think Mandy Moore is now married to Ryan Adams.

A prescription does not always mean what you think it means.
Whoever is behind the smokinggun list is also ignorant about the difference between genital herpes and cold sores. Same family, different viruses. Both Zovirax and Valtrex are standard topical remedies for cold sores.
@ Everyone guessing Mandy Moore and Tara Ried.. They are both married now.
ReplyDelete@Cheryl - You posted:
"Katie Holmes (nasty sores seen on lips, wonder where else she has them?)"
I'm sorry but not all people who get cold sores on their lips have herpes. Well, yes they have herpes, but it is a totally different strain. I get cold sores (I have my whole life), it is genetic. I have never given anyone a cold sore who didn't already carry the strain.
As for me. I really like the Emmy Rossum guess. Duritz and Emmy we're all over the place a while ago, and it seemed that they were "hot and heavy".. Now.. I've heard nothing more....
Duritz is known for dating a lot of celebs...Not sure who the other ladies are. Could be Cox and Rider. Is Rider B list?? She is in my book, I love her, but because of her past maybe she is not B list anymore?? hmmmm.
Just my two cents!

ReplyDeleteCold sores are not genetic. There are two different strains of the herpes virus (simplex 1 and 2) but either type can result in sores on the face or genital area. You contract simplex 1 when another person has a sore and shares eating utensils, razors, wash cloths, or towels with you or kisses you or gives you oral sex.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know who this blind is about. A ton of people in Hollywood have simplex 2. Like someone above said, it is really common and since a lot of "celebs" sleep with other "celebs" you know it is probably even more prevalent.
the difference between HSV 1 and 2 doesn't even matter anymore. people with cold sores can culture out for the genital variety and vice versa---those with genital herpes may have the oral kind.
ReplyDeletesymptom wise, there's no difference and the treatment is the same.
I would have thought that this blind was referring to HIV. Herpes can be supressed by taking meds like Valtrex on a regular basis and this greatly lowers the chance of passing it on to a sexual partner. (Plus, I imagine it's even more prevalent in Hollywood with all the sex going on.) I hardly think it would be a reason to suddenly break off a relationship. HIV however would probably scare most people off of a relationship.
ReplyDeletehere's a list of duritz women

"Adam Duritz Emmy Rossum, Adam-Duritz, Counting Crows, Courteney Cox, Emmy Rossum Divorce, Emmy-Rossum, Jennifer Aniston, Joanna Going, Mary-Louise Parker, Monica-Potter, "
a girl i know slept with Duritz i think back in the day -- so i've joined some pretty good company, 6 degrees style!
I like Salman's guess best if Jeter really dated all those women?
ReplyDeleteAlice D Millionaire and Nancer are correct.
ReplyDeleteThe commonly called "cold sores" are herpes lesions, and can be caused by both HSV-1 and HSV-2.
They are NOT genetic, and they are highly contagious.
People who do have herpes should be conscientious about other people's health, and make sure they don't put others at risk with their behaviour.
They should not: kiss, share objects that have come into contact with the infected area, touch the herpes affected area and then touch other people or objects that will be used by others (such as toothbrushes, eating utensils, razors, towels, etc).
Although oral and genital herpes are the best known types, herpes sores can occur all over the body (eyes, nose, fingers, ANYWHERE).
I don't have herpes, of either type, but coming from a medical family, I am quite aware of these issues.
A lot of people are ignorant about the nature of herpes and the ways herpes is transmitted.
If they have an outbreak they'll say "it's a fever", or "it's stress". Those are just TRIGGERS, but what they don't know is that it is a viral disease, and that they should be careful not to infect others.
A great number of people contract HSV in their first 2 years of life, sometimes during birth, often by being kissed and touched by someone who is contagious (people love to put their fingers in babies' mouths, and play with their hands, which the babies will then stuff in their mouth!)
For most people, herpes outbreaks causes no more that the occasional physical discomfort.
But it can be dangerous in occasions, if it gets into the person's brain, causing encephalitis, or if the person has a weakened immune system.
I have known people to die from it, and also to became brain damaged after herpes led to encephalitis.
Also, apart from the possible triggers (fever, sunlight, stress, menstruation...) the frequency of the outbreaks depends on the particular virulence of the strain and the individuals genetic sensitivity to it.
Whilst some people only have an outbreak a year, or even every few years, there are people who are permanently affected - they will have several sores at different stages at any one time.
I have also known people to get them every month.
So please be aware of this, and take measures not to pass the virus on to someone else, as it is something for which there is no cure, it stays in the person's body for life, and can have a very detrimental effect on someone's health and life.
Thanks Schmooey - very well said - YOU ROCK! I hope Icecat reads your post and quits spreading herpes.
ReplyDeleteI have never had an STD and don't specifically know of anyone close to me who has and am pretty unlikely to contract one, but even I know the basic facts. These posts have really surprised me as to people's ignorance of STDs and specifically herpes - especially the ignorance of someone who has herpes.
Because of this dearth of accurate information many posters seem to have, I also feel that I must point out that while condoms reduce the risk of transmission of herpes, they do not negate it.
Thank you Shmooey, people think I am weird for teaching my 5yr old daughter and 2 yr old son that kissing on the lips gives you herpes. You can ask my daughter 'what can happen when you kiss on the lips?' her reply is always 'eww, herpes'. As you can see I'm not shy on teaching my children proper names for things and it sometimes irks older people but it makes it easier for me to know what they are talking about. As for the blind I agree with the Derek guess.

ReplyDeleteTony Bennett??
ReplyDeleteHe's gotta fit in here somewhere
1- Rue McClanahan
2- Tony Bennett
3- Betty White
4- Cloris Leachman
sounds like somebody just screwed up their daughter (and son) for life ... wth
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that you think I have screwed up my kids for life but as some one who has been a carrier of the oral virus since I was a kid, I want to make sure they know why her dad and I dont kiss on them on the lips and what can happen if you kiss someone on the lips with the virus. Is that a better explanation for you? It's easier for her to understand right now and later she will get a more indepth explanation when she understands more. Its not like we are telling them they can never kiss someone on the lips.
ReplyDelete@Kim - Who do you think you are?? That's a pretty bold statement to make about someone (ME) whom you've never met. Do you realize what you just posted:
ReplyDelete"I hope Icecat reads your post and quits spreading herpes".
Well, to me, and probably a lot of other people reading this site, it implies that I have Herpes (Down There) and am off sleeping with guys spreading Herpes around. Well, FUCK YOU CUNT!!!!!!!
Yes, I use the word CUNT and I don't care who it offends. I happen to love the word.
Do I have Herpes?? Yes technically I do. I get COLD SORES on my MOUTH - not on my genitals. BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE, to me at least. And, about me posting that I thought it was genetic, guess I was wrong. SORRY. I get a cold sore maybe, MAYBE once a year. It started when I was 11. I got really sick and it ended with me getting a cold sore. My mother and grandmother blamed it on my grandfather. Now, out of that whole side of my family, only a few of us have ever had a cold sore. My aunt, and one other cousin. This is why I thought it was a genetic thing. I'm so sorry I was uninformed about this subject. BUT for you to make THAT statement on here about me (WHOM YOU'VE NEVER MET) is just FUCKED up. I have never given a cold sore to anyone in my immediate family, ex boyfriends, my best friend (gay guy) of 20 years (and believe me, we've shared many things in those 20 years) and my current boyfriend, whom I've been with for 9 years, so you do the math.
I'm not some two bit whore who sleeps around, which you implied.
So the next time you want to make a statement implying that someone you've never met is spreading herpes.. Maybe you should think twice, because you are obviously uniformed about me and my life.
Icecat - while I realize your post was based on what you assumed I said as opposed to what I actually said, the reality is that you do indeed have herpes. I am not making a judgment call on that and I think anyone reading all of the posts wouldn't assume it was anywhere but your mouth. In fact, my sweet elderly mother has HAD HERPES (cold sores) since she was a child and there is nobody more angelic than her.
ReplyDeleteYour misinformation is EXACTLY what leads to the spread of herpes. Just because you think you have not spread them, does not mean you have not been engaging in risky behavior.
I recommend you find yourself a good doctor and get educated about herpes and rely on facts as opposed to good luck - before that good luck runs out.
Also, feel free to call me, "whom you've never met", what ever you like. What you say, and how you say it, says way more about you than me.
