Apparently Tag Heuer loves the fact that Tiger Woods has been cheating on his wife. As far as they are concerned he should be doing more cheating and less apologizing. Although the company has sharply reduced the number of Tiger ads in North America and other countries it has been ramping up Tiger ads in China and says that Tiger's flings are the greatest thing ever. The chairman of Tag who probably will try this excuse with his own wife if he is ever caught cheating told The Sydney Morning Herald, "In China conversely you have Tag Heuer with Tiger Woods everywhere because [with] the Chinese it rather increases their esteem," he said. "In China, by tradition, your success is measured by your number of mistresses."
Great, so Tiger can just tell Elin he was trying to make them more money. I actually can't believe this guy came out and said this.

This is completely off topic, but I don't care for the abused animal advertisement in the left column. Today is the first time I've seen it.
ReplyDeleteAnimal abuse upsets me terribly, and I do agree with the underlying message but I visit this site to escape and I'd rather not be reminded of this horror.
I cannot believe how upset people are about Tiger Woods. Does it really affect your life if he sleeps with someone other than his wife? Are you that into Tiger Woods? I couldn't care one iota less what he does or any of you do in the PRIVACY of your own room. If you had an affair, do you think it would affect Tiger at all? or anyone else? No -- it would affect the person you cheated on and you. Why get upset with things that are not your concern?

ReplyDeleteI was recently rereading the "Blind Items Revealed" in this blog not too long ago, and I was surprised to see that Enty alluded to the "squeaky-clean" golfer who "regularly" cheated on his wife back in January of 2009, ten months before the story exploded ino national headlines. Good call!

ReplyDeletetraditionally in chinese culture the more successful a man the more mistresses he had because it displayed the wealth he not only had to have to keep them as mistresses, but his virility. both traits of masculinity that brought status and approval from his peers. it was always open, known and accepted by the wives.
