Rip Torn Pleads Not Guilty
This morning in a court in Connecticut, Rip Torn plead not guilty to a whole host of crimes which stem from his middle of the night break in of a bank near his home. If you will recall, police found Rip passed out inside a bank with a loaded gun on his person. He told the police that he thought the bank was his house. The judge said Rip could remain out on bail as long as he stayed away from alcohol. Rip just finished rehab and told the judge he has never missed a day of work. Well, that is good to know, but I don't think he has missed too many happy hours either.
It is just too sad to see him like this. He used to be such a hunk.
ReplyDeleteThey've got to plea this down to something minor. He clearly was not planning to rob the bank.
ReplyDeleterobbing a BANK? Rip Torn? WTF?
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm in a Twilight Zone episode- this makes me really, really sad for some reason. I really like him and it's sad to see how far down the spiral he's gone ;)
I was wondering why they killed off Don Geiss on 30 Rock -- it's unfortunately a little clearer now.
ReplyDeleteI saw a picture of the bank he supposedly was trying to rob, and it DID look like a house. A cozy, welcoming, friendly house.
ReplyDeleteis it just me? When I saw the photo of him I thought "that looks like Robert Downey Jr."....
ReplyDeleteAny one of us would have been charged to the full extent of the law...because it's Rip Torn, he's gonna get off.
ReplyDeleteCelebrity "justice".
As I recall, that damn bank did look VERY MUCH like a regular house!
ReplyDeleteI can see somebody who's stumbling drunk could get them mixed up, at least at first.
Hope he gets help.
