Random Photos Part Two

Jaime Escalante - RIP
David Mills - RIP
Alan Jackson just exemplifies cool doesn't he?
For some reason there has been a great deal of interest as of late of Ceren Alkac. She isn't a celebrity, but for some reason the wife of Jason Lee has been getting her photo taken by paps lately. Interesting.
Courteney Cox and Josh Hopkins on the set of Cougar Town.
Carey Mulligan in Wonderland Magazine.
Carrie Underwood has not one, but two umbrella handlers.
Emily Blunt sans engagement ring yesterday.
I need to put Eric Mabius in the pictures more often.
Elizabeth Taylor has said this week that she doesn't want any more surgery in her life. She is finished with it. This is her last week. Go Liz!
Holly Madison providing blankets to dogs in shelters in Las Vegas.
Jennifer Aniston said in this Harper's Bazaar interview that her diet secrets can be summed up into, "Don't eat crap."
Jessica Alba on a coffee run.

  1. Wow the ICON herself Liz, she has outlived them all God Bless her.

Carey Mulligan resembles Mia Farrow in Rosemary's baby days

  2. don't eat crap as in "don't eat poorly" or don't eat crap as in "I need a sammich, I don't eat crap"?

  3. Shocking news about David Mills. Less shocking about Jaime Escalante. Very sad about both.

    RIP, fine gentlemen.

  4. Blunt without the ring...Enty's prediction that the wedding will never happen grows ever near.

LOVE Liz. Sending you positive thoughts always, lady!

I feel like Enty is hinting something about Jason Lee's wife. Hmmm..

  5. is that this month's US Bazaar with Demi on the cover?

  6. What I always admire about CDAN is that while trashing celebrities and taking out celebrity trash, Enty always takes time to mention the celebrities that do good, and eulogize the really decent people in society that have made a real difference--Jaime Escalante, David Mills, Miep Gies, et al. This site is like no other, and the readers are, as well.

  7. This is her last week? Or, This is her. last week.

    Love the pink furry uggs.

LOL at allisonshine72. Sort of reminds me of the "punctuation saves lives" thing..."let's eat Grandma" or "let's eat, Grandma".

  9. Love the fuzzy slippers Elizabeth.

Okay, what's the deal with the wife pictures? What are you telling us, Ent?

  10. When Lillian Gish died, Life magazine pointed out that although we can read about the days of silent movies, she was the last person who could tell us about it. I feel the same way about Elizabeth Taylor, who was there, helped create it, survived it, and could tell us if she chose, which she has. Luise Rainer and Mickey Rooney are a couple of others, and when these last voices are silenced, our living connections to classic Hollywood are gone forever. Sad.

  11. My guess is he's implying Scientology is behind her getting papped, but I don't know for sure.

  12. Now if only Jennifer Aniston would apply that advice to her film choices--Don't make crap!

Good for Elizabeth Taylor. She has had so many surgeries in her life, enough already. She's a survivor.

  13. @allisonshine72 -- that is exactly how I read that: "this is her last week" and was about to get very sad -- as though she had given up on surgical treatment of some kind. Her work with HIV/AIDS is so inspiring but I'm not too familiar with her early films -- any recommendations from the CDAN family?

  14. Liz Taylor was so beautiful in her day--I hope she is ok.

  15. Haha I was coming on here to clarify "this is her last week" too!

  16. Now, there might be an explanation about John Krasinski hooking with Emily Blunt for the press: there was this casting for Captain America and Krasinski was a contender for the part. There's nothing wrong with The Office and the occasional indie film but Captain America was a potential blockbuster franchise and he might have wanted to raise his public profile. As Chris Evans got the part, I hope that John will end this travesty.

  17. used to have a major thang for Jason Lee..but since doing Alvin and now CO$...no amount of hotness can make it up.
    love von's comment
definitely looking at Emily Blunt differently these days
    RIP Jaime Escalante

  18. I find it suspicious that Enty would deliberately choose a photo of Emily that doesn't allow the ring to be seen. There are other photos in that series that show she IS wearing her engagement ring. Is the sole reason so a snarky caption can be written thereby eliciting even more snark?

There is a second set of photos taken later in which Emily is leaving the Neil George Salon that display the ring in such a way that even the blindest can see it.

  20. Carey Mulligan is looking like Twiggy, with those big eyes.

If only there were more teachers like Jaime Escalante. God Bless him

  21. alison I thought the same thing and had to reread the line three times. This is her last week. ENTY, step away from the home bar.

  23. Carey Mulligan does look like Mia Farrow plus some Twiggy thrown in for good measure.
And Liz Taylor, I will never forget watching Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Paul Newman. Two of the most beautiful people ever.

  24. Altar Boy,
In answer to your question, while there are many Liz Taylor movies, the two that stand out for me, in terms of her absolutely incredible acting talent (Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf) and her stunning looks, combined with that heavy talent (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof).

Growing up, I was never a big fan of hers, but as I've gotten a wee bit older:), I have truly come to admire her talent and her range as an actress. Outside of Meryl today, she really stands alone, in my humble opinion.

Hope you get a chance to see her when she was on top of her game. She's worth watching.

  25. Alan Jackson exemplifies cool? I was thinking he exemplified rough around the edges. I'm sure that ain't coffee in that cup.

I kinda thought Carey Mulligan was channeling Edie Sedgewick in that pic, but I can see the tribute to Twiggy and nod to Mia Farrow.

Looking at Liz makes me sad. It reminds me of my mother during her decline.

For a pothead I wonder how Jennifer Aniston avoids the munchies? (Don't get me wrong, I love my JA!)

  26. courteney cox waaay too skinny there

  27. I agree with Jen Aniston. she is probably so tired of people asking her what her diet secrets are.

Carey Mulligan is funny looking to me.

  28. Mango you can get the munchies as a pothead and not eat crap. Just munch on good food.

  29. You know I'm quite attracted to Liz Taylor in her wheelchair than I am of Emily Blunt who no doubt is a great example of English intermarriage over thousands of years. Cousins marrying cousins has given them that odd look around the eyes. That's why if you view English chicks they all have the same features especially with respect to their eyes. It's not a negative but when you're land locked or an island amidst the other nations of the world, you're bound to see a lot of inter marriage producing a certain look. And whomever told Courtney Cocks that she was a babe must have been her publicist.

  30. Altar Boy, you must see "A Place in The Sun" Liz is sooo beautiful in that film, when she first walks into the room to meet Montgomery Clift, I gasped out loud. Monty is gorgeous in that film, also. It is a great movie, one of my faves!!
