Kathryn Bigelow gets the top spot. When you become the first female director to win an Academy Award for best directing you deserve it.
Coming in a very close second was the reuniting of many of the Brat Pack for a tribute to John Hughes.
Adrien Brody will have your table ready in just a minute.
Larry King is still alive.
"And the winner is me, me, me, me, me, me. Nick go pick up the awards and bring them home."
My favorite picture of the day.
Beth Ditto counts to ten.
The world has ended. A whole school now dedicated to looking like Beyonce.
Cougar Town love. Brian van Holt and Courteney Cox who looks great.
Chace Crawford walking the streets of LA.
Colin Farrell and Rosario Dawson presenting an award the other night.
Chris McDonald making sleazy look easy.
Dave Grohl tells the world what he thinks of Courtney Love.
"That'll do mermaid. That'll do."
I can't really think of anything to say, but it is Eddie Izzard so I'm sure he will think of something.
YOU GO GIRL! She handled both of her wins with grace even though Babs and Alec Baldwin did their best to be weirdly distracting.
ReplyDeletecan someone address the blind item posted on a different website about a male nominee being MIA most of the day yesterday?
I LOOOOOVE Eddie Izzard and don't care who knows it!!!
ReplyDeleteI think Babs was BOTHERED that in her mind it should have been HER to be the first female to win Best Director and not Bigelow, lol
ReplyDeletereally? i didn't see that...does anyone have a video? re:alec and babs
ReplyDeletewhy does CoCox have a weird fold on her arm?
And is that the dad from Family Ties with Daryl?
Shiloh is a-freakin-dorable!
Forget the Hangover, I'd like to see a movie about Colin Farrel and Jeremy Renner's lost Mexico weekend.
ReplyDeleteChris McDonald. I still remember him from Grease 2 :)
Beyonce Cosmetology Center?? Really?? Is this just something for her mom to do??
SO happy for Bigelow.
Chihuahuense - that's James Cromwell, the farmer from the Babe movies, "that'll do pig".
ReplyDeleteoh...never seen that movie....although I still think he looks like an aged Mr. Keaton
ReplyDeleteI loved BABE. That little pig was so adorable.
ReplyDeleteI also love Aretha Franklin. She's got some really big tatas, though. I wonder if her upper back ever hurts.
Cromwell's been in a TON of movies and is always great.
ReplyDeleteI adore Eddie Izzard!!! Bring back The Riches!
ReplyDeleteEDDIE ROCKS!!!! And so does Enty. Although, sorry Enty, Eddie does it high heels LOL
ReplyDeleteomg, rocketqueen, me too! i was JUST mentioning to a girlfriend not even ten minutes ago that jeremy renner might very well find himself on my laminated list soon. problem is, colin farrell is my #5, and i won't let any of the others go...
ReplyDeleteaaaah, such is life.
Looks like Chris McDonald is in Shooter McGavin mode. Little known fact, James "Steven P. Keaton" Cromwell was Archie Bunker's buddy and loading dock co-worker, Stretch Cunningham. Oh God, I'm worse than Jeff Albertson, aka Comic Book Guy. I need serious professional help.
ReplyDeleteGood for Kathryn.
ReplyDeleteThe Brat Pack reunion made me realize I still have not seen ALL of John Hughes movies...must add to my queue.
Courtney looks great there, true, true.
Love the Babe reference :) teehee
So, did The Riches not get renewed? I liked that show and I swore it was coming back for a 2nd season and then I never saw the promo's???
ahh, coke mom jr!
ReplyDeleteI was looking for you about a week ago.
Brian van Holt is very funny on Cougar Town.
ReplyDeleteThat's Shiloh? okay. cute, but angie looks disconnected. like Shiloh just shot in front of her. Beth Ditto, huh?
ReplyDeleteI am in love with Eddie Izzard! And also, Beth Ditto! Please tell me she didn't go on a diet though...she has clearly lost some weight but hopefully not because she fell victim to the whole "You have to be thin to be healthy and beautiful" thing. I don't think she would, though.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Kathryn Bigelow totally deserves the top spot. Firt femal best director...and she looks fantastic! Clearly with some help of the injectable kind, but who cares, really?
How could one not love the Grohl-ch that stole Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI really have to watch the hurt locker...
ReplyDeleteWonder how come there's been little mention on Geoffrey Fletcher - the first Black man to win an Oscar for his adapted screenplay?
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'...
i think it's pretty clear we would ALL like a little, um, PRIVATE TIME with eddie. heels optional.
ReplyDeletebut i really do love him when he's butched up.
