Kelly Osbourne & Dr. Phil

Today is the premiere of Kelly Osbourne on Dr. Phil. Wow, that sounds pornographic doesn't it? How about today Kelly will work on Dr. Phil. Hmm, that sounds pretty bad too. Dr. Phil hires Kelly to give him a hand? Nope. Anyway, beginning today Kelly Osbourne will begin appearing on a recurring basis to help Dr. Phil dispense advice based on her own battles with weight and life and addiction. This could be very good for her and a nice career move. It also has to be scary for her because last time she started giving advice to Amy Winehouse, Kelly was the one who ended up in rehab. Unlike her mother, I think Kelly would be good on a talk show and lets face it, Harpo is a great place to work if you want your own show. Plus, she will be learning under Dr. Phil. See, there I go again.

"I am excited to be a part of Dr. Phil as a contributor for the show. It offers a great opportunity for me to bring a youthful perspective and opinion on the issues that affect our selves, our families and society as a whole, and I'm very honored to be a part of it. I really hope I can use my life experiences to do some good."

  1. I'd be more apt to take advice from Kelly. I find Dr. Phil to be so pompous. At any rate, it should be interesting. Will they get their own moniker like Brad and Angie, perhaps 'Dr. Kill'?

  2. Well, I COULD have said it today, but once burned, twice shy. I'm really glad Kelly has turned out so well--on MTV she came across like a insufferable brat, then ended up almost finishing on DWTS, and now helps young people with Dr. Phil, which is hopefully a stepping stone to her own show. Good luck, Kelly, and give Frances Bean a call!

  3. I kind of like how Kelly has turned out, as well. Good move on Phil's part, although HE is an insufferable guy. Refreshing at first, then too over the top.

  4. The phrase "pompous windbag" comes to mind when thinking of him. Didn't he basically get shut down when he sailed into Cedars Sinai to scoop Britney up and whisk her away to save her from herself? That 5150 incident seems like ancient history now.

  5. Good luck to her. I'd like to see her do well.

  6. Um, yeah. Doesn't anyone else think it's kind of premature for Kelly to be handing out advice on weight and addiction? She's only JUST RECENTLY successfully lost weight (staying power, anyone??) and after being in and out of rehab - most recently in the last year - I think I'd prefer someone with a longer time under their belt as "healthy".

  7. Considering how different her lifestyle and upbringing are from your average Dr Phil viewer, how relevant could her advice be?

  8. I'm happy for Kelly and hope she does a good job on the show. I think she can offer a lot to people (not just young) on addictions and weight. While she might not have that much time under her belt she can give a lot of perspective. Good for her!

  9. Kelly has come a long way from her MTV days and I wish her continued success in her sobriety and weight issues/problems.

  10. kinda like putting miley in the sex and the city movie- he's just trying to broaden his audience.

  11. I hope she's strong enough emotionally. She still seemed very fragile on DWTS.

I love her outfit in this picture.

  12. it can only be an improvement.
my guess is phil's ratings are dropping, he's just not bringing in that age demographic. hell, he's on my idiot box right now, but only because i love judge judy (hangs head in shame) and his show follows hers. since i'm here with you guys, i'm not really paying attention. i DO know that isn't kelly with him!!

and i kind of like robin, only because she puts up with his ass.
