Betty White Will Be On Your TV Every Week
Betty White has signed on to star in a new television comedy that will air beginning in June. Originally she was just supposed to be in the pilot for the show called "Hot In Cleveland," but she said what the heck and is now going to be on for the entire ten episode run. The show sounds pretty good. Well, the cast is good. Who knows if the actual show will be any good. Also in the cast are Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick. Apparently Betty plays the caretaker of the home shared by the other three women. It kind of sounds like Golden Girls but only about 50 with another Golden Girl watching over them.
YOU MEAN LIKE A SORORITY HOUSE....FOR COUGARS AND SHE'S HOUSE MOTHER...
ReplyDeleteAm I having a reading comprehension problem today, or is the writing on a couple of these posts just not making sense?
ReplyDeleteWhat does this mean...
"It kind of sounds like Golden Girls but only about 50 with another Golden Girl watching over them."
only about 50? Que?
I agree Sue Ellen - but I thought it was just me. Now I don't feel so alone.
ReplyDeleteEither way anything with Wendy Malick and Betty ought to be fun.
I took it to mean that it's like the Golden Girls, only about 50 years old, with an older caretaker looking out for them and interfering sweetly into their lives. Sounds fun to me.
ReplyDeleteThis could be good. Betty sure is taking advantage of her popularity resurgence!
ReplyDeleteComedy writing sucks so bad these days (Cougartown). I hope these women can rise above it.
ReplyDeleteI really like all of these actresses.
Could be fun and a nice alternative to Season Two of Blue Mountain State. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good cast, but if Bertinelli gets more than one line an episode, I won't be watching. She irritates the shit outta me.
ReplyDeleteThe Golden Girls are in their 50's on the show. I'm watching it now and Dorothy says that Rose is 55...
ReplyDeleteAh well, I am just going to walk away from this.
I immediately thought, "The Facts of Life" with older women.
ReplyDeleteMilk it, Betty! And Wendie, Jane, et al along with her! Ride this wave as far as it goes...
ReplyDeleteI mean, they ARE in the biz to make money, right?
I think Val and Jane should be lovers with all sorts of crazy complications
ReplyDeleteWendie is Val's older sister. She loves men, screws anything walking, and totally disapproves of her sister's lifestyle.
Hilarity ensues as momma Betty doesn't have a clue whose screwing who (whom?)
I thought Facts of Life, too. The AARP years.
ReplyDelete50 and 55 are golden years? I thought the women in Golden Girls were in their mid-to-late 60s. I guess the 50s are looking younger and younger as I get older and older. ;-D
