OK! Magazine Makes New Moms Feel Bad...Again

Not content with their Kourtney Kardashian cover story about how she lost her baby weight even though they didn't interview her, she didn't pose for pictures and they got their facts wrong, OK! is at it again. This time they put Kendra Wilkinson on their cover. Kendra just gave birth 8 weeks ago, but because of her incredible dieting and exercise secrets she is back in a bikini and if you follow her steps you too will feel very comfortable posing for the world in a bikini 8 weeks after birth. If you don't, then there must be something wrong with you right?

See, on the cover she says they will work for you too. I hate these kinds of articles. I say it everytime and I am going to call them out on it everytime also. It is misleading and makes people feel much worse than when they eliminate Demi Moore's thigh or airbrush a model on the cover. All this does is make people feel awful about themselves. They need to put a big disclaimer on the cover like they do in the weight loss commercials. Results not typical. Hell, they are downright rare.

Oh, and Kim's big wedding news? Umm, that she isn't getting married?

  1. I could do it in 8 days with photoshop and a good airbrush.

  2. Never, ever do these women have stretch marks or saggy skin like many new moms. I know this is photoshopped (actually, it looks like her head pasted on an old picture of her body), but even pap photos lake these trophies of motherhood. And for that, I hate celebrity and faux-brity moms.

  3. "lack these trophies.." not lake

Signed, spolied by auto spell check. Sucks when you don't have it.

  4. I swear the only POINT of even PUBLISHING such articles is to make women feel bad and/or pressured to lose weight quickly after birth. That's a pretty shitty policy for a magazine.

  5. That head is SO obviously pasted on! LOL!

  6. Incredible diet - lose your neck in 8 weeks

  7. That is OBVIOUSLY pasted. The head and the body are not the same color, and look at the creepy arm holding the baby. The shoulder is all sorts of wrong. Do they actually think people are not going to notice these things??

    Oh, OK! BITE ME!!!

  8. The thing that bothers me the most is that it's a very selfish way to start motherhood. Of course you want to lose the baby weight, but this is just plain ridiculous.

p.s. How do the employees of OK Magazine sleep at night?

  9. Does anyone really care about Kendra? Does anyone really care whether or not she lost her baby weight?

How can trash magazines like this stay publishing and the really good ones cease?

  10. its so fake it doesnt bother me..and even if she looked amazing after her body before baby was tiny as well so of my friends who are super tiny and had babies, most were super tiny again sooner or later...a month..a year..whatever. Everyone is different.

  12. 7 weeks to go and I can honestly tell you, there is no way in HELL I can compete with that on ANY level. Depresses me just thinking about it.

  13. The baby looks like he was photo shopped onto an old pic of her. The size of the baby and the size of her looks really off. It makes the baby look to be the size of a 1 yr old not a 2 month old. Then there is the goofy arm. Not only does it look photo shopped, it is bad photo shopping.

  14. This magazine has become a parody of itself. If that was even possible.

  15. Healthy weight loss for women is two pounds a week. It's probably a little more if she's breast feeding, which I doubt with those ridiculous implants. I know it's possible, but I still doubt it. Anything faster than that isn't likely to stay off for regular women, who don't have either a personal trainer, personal chef, or an Adderall prescription mixed with a little cocaine now and again.

  16. that's some bad p-shop...they didn't even blend the neck colors well on the two pics. fail!

Ever since I saw a story on Nip/Tuck about Dalphne Zuniga (She played a celebrity also) was on a diet when in reality she had work done on her body I do not believe these celebrities losing weight so fast.

So whenever their is a story like this one I know it's not for real.

  18. I agree with pdxbellarocks. I am very tiny and after my first I lost all my baby weight and an extra 15 lbs in 3 months. At 87 lbs I looked awful. Had to stop breast feeding to gain weight. Everyone is different. (Wish I could do that now.)

That being said, did you read that she is considering breast reduction?

  19. What do you want to bet that the assholes working at OK! are all fat. That would be interesting, wouldn't it?

  20. Such a bad Photoshop job. They left the pregnancy fat on her face. It's sad; I bet she looks beautiful and radiant as is.

  21. Here we go again! That KK picture was ludicrous, and this one is barely an improvement but equally insulting. By now, don't people realize how phony this whole industry has become? Any semblance of representing "reality" has fallen by the wayside long ago. I'm not a woman, but I've seen the sad results of women who actually take this kind of situation to heart, saying, "Oh, my God, I'll NEVER look like that!" as I try to tell them, "NOBODY looks like that!" Not without Photoshop, airbrushing, or pasting their head on someone else's body!

  22. If that's what I look like after her diet secrets, then I do not want it! Who wants a tri-colored body with a robo-cop arm?

  23. I just want to say that I have solid proof that those pictures are airbrushed/photshopped!!! I'm a mom of a big baby as well and now after a year of light exercises I'm starting to lose some weight. Weight loss should be a gradual process. These magazines are LIARS. I would hate for Moms out there to be depressed over these FAKE pictures!!

This picture was taken on Valentines Day (2/14/2010) in las vegas by People Magazine (click the arrow to the second picture-that's the real Kendra):

Another recent picture again on Valentines Day where she attended a Sugar Factory opening party with Holly Madison:

It's really sad that all her young fans believe that is really her and that's her real body! It's not! It's so fake...
