Groundhog Day vs. Lost
Today is the day when everyone sits down to watch the one movie based on Groundhog Day. Hopefully you have a drinking game associated with it, but if not, you can just enjoy. This year though I think the entire world will be watching Lost, so Groundhog Day will be watched during commercials or not at all. However because I know you would rather not be working today because it is such an important holiday you can watch it in ten minute increments on You Tube for as long as it remains up. This way you can feel good about celebrating a holiday just as important as Festivus and not have any distractions during Lost tonight.
I know people love this movie but I've always just found it annoying, so I'll be LOST all the way :)
ReplyDeleteYou're too funny! I plan on recording all the Lost stuff tonight, so I can watch it tomorrow without interruption. I have never see Groundhog Day, which is odd for someone who, not only shares the same birthday with Bill, but is a big fan of What About Bob? and Scrooged.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an episode of Lost, and don't plan to start now. I LOVE Groundhog Day, and watched it on Saturday. The only 'weak link' for me is Andie McDowell - somehow I just can't make myself like her (or her acting.)
ReplyDeletenot about Bill Murray or Lost.
ReplyDeleteI loved everything about Ground Hog Day. The scene when he steal the groundhog and drives off a cliff. I am laughing just thinking about it.
ReplyDeleteMoriah, you have to give it a try.
Only ever saw one episode of Lost...the very first one! I was vbisiting my Aunt so I had no choice.
ReplyDeleteThose dang noisy airplane engines created a high stress level, and made me imagine how a real airplane wreck might sound like.
But I never watch regular/network TV so I never saw it again.
But between my Mom and some friends, I always ask them--is there a monster? Who's the "bad guy?" Is it aliens?
And every successive year there is never an answer as to what the hell is going on!
Groudhog Day wins over Lost.
ReplyDeleteDon't like Groundhog Day; thought it was sappy. But it's not cool to put an entire movie on your site, even if it's hosted somewhere else. It's stealing.
ReplyDeleteNed...Ryerson. BING!!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved Groundhog Day the first three times I saw it (and oddly enough, it's exactly the same each time).
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a single episode of "Lost" so I suspect I'll be taking the third option (whatever that is).
I guess I'm a big old nerd because I love, love, love Lost and cannot wait for the new episode. I have not seen Groundhog Day though.
ReplyDeleteGroundhog Day all the way!!
ReplyDeleteI think I've seen at least one complete episode of Lost but it obviously didn't hold my attention.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies.
Team Groundhog Day!
Groundhog Day! But since it is also my birthday, I'm a little biased!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Melanie!
ReplyDeleteThe very FIRST thing I thought of when I woke up today was LOST!!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love and adore Bill Murray, LOST wins tonight.
ReplyDeleteNow hear me whine: I got HDTV and a PVR for the sole purpose of being able to record Lost, since I have chorus rehearsal on Tuesday nights. Guess what? The fucking thing broke last night and won't play anything it recorded! And the cable guy can come TOMORROW to fix it. So now I have to leave rehearsal early! And I will!
LOL @ Sarah!
ReplyDeleteTeam Groundhog Day all the way. Also, one of my friends said that he was bartending in St. Paul and Bill came in. Bill sat down, my friend said "Hi, Bill" and he ordered and drank his drink, quietly interacting with those who spoke to him. After that drink he left, and tipped my friend $100.
ReplyDeleteClassy all the way.
Love Groundhog Day......!
ReplyDeleteLet's see Groundhog Day or Lost...
ReplyDelete...Josh Holloway and the best writing on TV or something I can watch repeatedly on cable?
I'm going with Josh.
I bet he'll have his shirt off, ardleigh! *L*
ReplyDeleteYup Groundhog Day is my numero Uno.
ReplyDeleteI AM the hopeless guys at the bowling alley.
Sometimes TBS or TV Land steps up to the plate and plays it alot.
More fitting than XMas Story being played over and over...
@ Moriah, I share the same birthday as Bill and you too!
ReplyDeleteJosh Holloway shirtless AND Matthew Fox over Groundhog Day though!
My husband is out of town but I am going to have to watch it without him. Its not my fault he couldn't coordinate his travel schedule to our TV one. :)
Those were two hours of amazing television!!!
