ReplyDeleteLove me some P!nk.
ReplyDeleteOMG...PINK....YOU WERE THE BEST...ARE THE BEST....FANTASTICO
ReplyDeleteteam taylor!
ReplyDeletepink BROUGHT it...even tho it looked like she was peeing for a minute there. take THAT gaga.
boo eminem.
how the fuck does Eminem win best rap album when it only released like 1 or 2 songs...THAT SUCKED!
ReplyDeletethe whole show was a big fat waste' o time.
and pink..kylie wants her dress back from Can't Get You Out of My Head.
I really don't get the whole Beyonce thing. she is sooo overated! But, I guess she is the epitome of today's manufactured music(and it is so enhanced!!), so I guess she really would have been the winner. Where are the real singers? Jennifer Hudson seems to be one of them and Pink~at least she works for it.
ReplyDeleteWhile I can't say that the song Pink sang appealed to me I thought she was the most artistic performer on stage. This is what I consider to be entertainment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a memorable performance!
Thanks Pink.
I'm sorry, but Taylor Swift cannot carry a tune to save her life. Her performance with Stevie Nicks was beyond cringe-inducing. How the hell did she win album of the year?
ReplyDeleteI actually wished Kanye was there last night.
Pink should have won something, that girl can sing AND she puts on a great show....
ReplyDeleteAs for the rest of it....meh.
Not to hate on Phoenix, but I thought there were much better "alterative" albums out there. The Grammy committee are just awful, lazy individuals.
ReplyDeleteRant aside, Pink is awesome (and has a killer body).
Ryan,
ReplyDeleteHow's your wife doing?
Whoops,
ReplyDeleteCaught the update under the Rip post.
Good news!
Beyonce singing Alanis Morrissette's song was fantastic. She's got the pipes. As a matter of fact, I mentioned to my husband that most of the performers last night really could sing w/o any type of enhancement... but wtf with Taylor Swift? I was embarrassed for Stevie Nicks....it was like she kept looking at Taylor to keep her on key.
ReplyDeletePink, it's time to get a new routine. This one was nearly identical to the AMA performance, this time though she did a tribute to Fergie by pissing her pants. Yawn.
ReplyDelete@0 I totally agree with you on both accounts.
ReplyDeleteBoy Kanye's timing may have been off but his POV was on target. I'm not a big Beyonce fan but Taylor is not worth all of the awards that they're hurling at her.
Jeez she's a wonderful, polite and nice young lady but she is also a mildly talented singer.
I loved Elton John and Lady Gaga, Beyonce made a great entrance and her singing seemed better (probably 'cuz J.Hud was in the house), BUT, Pink blew 'em all away, IMO.
ReplyDeletePoor Taylor Swift searched and searched for a tune and never did find it. Good thing for her that Stevie is so good at harmonizing.
What's the point of bringing out Leon Russell and then leaving the poor old, guy hanging?
The Michael Jackson 3D thing wasn't very good and it's sad because another song and/or singers could have been soooo much better.
I like Steven Colbert, but he certainly was a fish out of water.
Did anyone watch the red carpet on E? Ryan Seacrest and Guiliana were absolutely horrible. Just when you think they can't get any worse, they find a way.
the MJ thing gave me a headache..Pink was awesome and the only redeeming thing in the show. i've over taylor swift as sweet as she is and after seeing Pink again...in your face Gaga!
ReplyDeletePink was awesome. The MJ thing was not. Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Eminem...same old shiz, and boring to me. I also think Taylor Swift is overrated. The Jeff Beck performance was awesome as well, don't know who the woman was singing with him but it was one of the better performances of the night. I feel like it's the damn pop/r&b grammy's these days.
ReplyDeletei have to say i loved pink's performance - it was so beautiful it almost made me cry!
ReplyDeleteBeyonce just seemed like she was trying SO hard during that performance flipping her weave all around. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI loved Lady Gaga and Elton, Pink and DMB.
I was a bit outraged that Bon Jovi never performed at the Grammys until this year. I love Bon Jovi and all they stand for. Yes, I'm totally Jersey.
Taylor Swift is a lovely girl, but her performance with the goddess who is Stevie Nicks wounded my soul - and ears.
And whoever gave Jamie Foxx a record deal and audiotune needs to have his or her head checked.
The highlight of the evening for me was Steve Colbert. I kind of hoped he was the host.
The sad thing about Jamie Foxx is that he really is a talented singer. I don't know if he's partying too much or if there is some other problem but he certainly isn't showcasing his true artistic abilities.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was so embarrassed for him bringing his sister on stage. Yes I know he wants to help her out but this was not the place for it.
Unpopular opinion, but I thought Pink looked like a slutty circus freak. Hated it.
ReplyDeleteIf she was actually singing and not lip syncing, I'll give her props for that. But, other than that? Ugh.
The water thing with Pink was distracting, IMHO. I kept thinking about all the rich and famous peeps in their designer gowns and their hair did getting all wet. LOL.
ReplyDeletePink just keeps getting better and better. She is awesome.
ReplyDeleteBeyonce - I am not a fan, so I'll leave it at that.
Taylor Swift needs an intervention.
I wish they had the balls to let Adam Lambert perform.
I LOVED em, drake and lil wayne's performance. If you contrast that to the other rap song played earlier by jamie fox you can totally tell the quality that was shown here. Even if your not a fan, i say whatever your genre do it right and give it your all and that is what i thought the trio of guys did as well as pink. Beyonce singing Alanis was confusing and she didnt even make it her own, she used the exact same pitches that alanis uses in the song with less results. I feel like she is trying way too hard now. As for lady gaga, whom i love, i def felt like she didnt bring it as much as she could but her at her worst is still 10 times better than many other performers today.
ReplyDeleteoh! i almost forgot Taylor Swift. While her performance with goddess Stevie Nicks was what it was, i mean it wasnt Horrible but certaintly not that good my beef is more due to the fact that she won album of the year. Even you Taylor fans have to see that this is the GRAMMYs for godsake! The award is supposed to span all genres and you expect me to believe that across the board of music this little chickie is the best American music has to offer?! plueeze
ReplyDeleteI actually thought the Zac Brown band kicked ass. Not a big country fan, but they rocked out.
ReplyDeleteAmazonblue, She's home. She's sore. But she's going to be compltely fine in a few weeks. Right now she's cranky because they won't let her go to work.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't the title read: "Grammy winner: Pink's performance"? ;)
ReplyDelete@califblondy
ReplyDeleteSomeone on here said that Kendra's smile freaks them out (looks like a shark smiling, I think was the actual quote) but I think Guliana's smile is way more freaky! I actually shiver and have to look away when I see her. I can't be the only one, right?
I'm a Family Guy/American Dad
ReplyDeleteaddict so I didn't watch it all
but at work next day 9 out of 10 coworkers were all gossiping about the 'Pink' performance.
Thanks for posting Enty.
Love Pink. Great performance--I liked that the whole spinning around wet in an oversized diaper while angels danced around her.
ReplyDeleteBut not that anyone would ever pay to see this--if it were ME up there, spinning in the diaper, the audience would be getting last night's dinner all over them. It made me slightly nauseous just to watch.
Not only was it a great performance, in my opinion, it was also a BRAVE one. How many people would put themselves in that position, and do acrobatics as well as sing? Amazing.
The link to the Pink performance doesnt work very well. It cuts out a whole chunk at the end. Find a better version here:

@Jasmine - agree with everything you said :)
ReplyDeleteYay RocketQueen! Thanks for agreeing with me, I always like it when that happens : > )
ReplyDeleteand I AM still pissed off about the taylor swift win btw~ grrrrr
ReplyDeleteI should clarify - loved Em/Drake, etc., was in awe of Stevie and do NOT GET the love for Taylor Swift (I honestly don't think her voice is any good), but I DID like Beyonce. A lot..when she sang her OWN song. I agree the Alanis bit was WTF?
