Andrew Koenig Is Missing
I saw the headline Growing Pains star is missing and I have to say that until I saw the picture of his character, I had no idea who Andrew Koenig was. His father said the actor who is probably the only television character named Boner went missing while visiting Vancouver. He had been in Toronto and was due to spend some time in Vancouver before heading back to Los Angeles. I can only hope the guy is ok. His father has said that Andrew was battling depression. All I can say is that it sounds like he has lots to live for and a lot of people to love him, so hope everything turns out ok
His father is the Walter Koenig. He played Chekov on Star Trek: TOS.
ReplyDeleteI hope he didn't get lost in some back country of B.C. That's some into the wild stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat is a long time to be missing.
ReplyDeleteHe hasn't been heard from in over a week. Some of his friends said he'd been acting strange.
ReplyDeleteI'm a third generation Trekkie and I watched Growing Pains faithfully, but I didn't know who he was related to until a few days ago. Hope he's just hanging out at the Olympics.
Doesn't sound good. Hope everything's ok...
ReplyDeleteBoner was the best part of the show. I hope they find him and he gets some help.
ReplyDeleteWonder why he is depressed?
ReplyDeleteFIND BONER!!! please call the VPD if you see him!
ReplyDeleteDetective Raymond Payette of the Vancouver Police Department at 604-717-2534.
I hate it when my Boner goes missing!
ReplyDeleteSylvia, I don't think you necessarily need a reason to be depressed...
ReplyDeleteI do hope that he is found safe.
ReplyDeleteI loved Growing Pains..
ReplyDeleteHowever, I would much rather dumb ass Kirk Cameron went missing....
(okay I'm going to hell for even thinking that)
I hope he's okay and just doesn't want to be found for a while....
I guess I am a cynic, but that is a long time to be gone without a word to anyone.
ReplyDelete@Icecat, I'm with you. Kirk Cameron is an idiot. Literally--he just d-u-m. And believes that the shape of a banana is proof of Creationism.
ReplyDeleteI have no memory of any "Boner" character on that show.
I loved Boner--he was like the male version of Kimmie Gibbler---I hope he shows up soon.
ReplyDeletewhen you have Depression (big "D" depression), it's not like little "d" depression. you don't have a reason. it's a biochemical thing.
ReplyDeleteI am a faithful listener of Andrew's brother-in-law Jimmy Pardo's podcast, Never Not Funny and I'm just sick over this. Andrew is the podcast's videographer so he is always in the room while they are recording and he is always a great addition to the dynamic. You can tell his entire family cares about him a great deal. I do hope that he just needed some time away and that he turns up safely.
ReplyDeleteI read this yesterday and it makes me so sad. I loved Boner and stopped watching Growing Pains around the time they wrote off his character.
ReplyDeletedorea,
ReplyDeletelove those podcasts too.
i never had the courage to send a message or tweet. my stomach is in knots right now...
Is that a recent picture of him? He shouldn't be hard to miss if it's him - I'll keep my eyes open and my fingers crossed :)
ReplyDeleteVery worrisome. I hope they find him soon!
ReplyDeleteVancouver is a very friendly city- if he's there I'm thinking he's probably ok.
ReplyDeleteUnless he did something by his own hand. Hopefully not.
It's Thursday now, and it was announced that the Vancouver PD had found a body today in the area where they have been searching. But the body has not been id'd yet, at least, not to the public.
