You know me. I rarely write about breakups because they are too frequent and usually boring. But, I have been known to make exceptions and this is one of them. Why do you ask? Well, first of all thanks for asking. The reason is that despite the fact that Zachary Levi was the one supposedly doing the break up, I am pretty sure the "statement" came from Caitlin herself. Or a relative. Probably Caitlin.
Here is what the "statement" had to say. "He broke up with her on Saturday before his big NBC premiere aired. The couple recently returned from a great vacation in Turks and Caicos and Puerto Rico." OK, lets stop right there. Who knows if the vacation was great or not. If I told you I went on vacation you wouldn't know if it was great or if my dad made me push the minivan for 30 miles each day. So one point in the column that this is Caitlin as the source for this.
"He told her it was bad timing and if God brings them together in the future it's meant to be. This isn't the first time the actor has tried to end things."
So, it is someone who knows that Zachary has tried to break up before but Caitlin for whatever reason has dissuaded him. How would someone know he had tried to break up before? Another point for Caitlin being the source.
"She is heartbroken, but she is already writing great songs about it. The singer will keep herself busy with an upcoming tour to promote her album Flawz."
Wow, how often do you see the plug in the breakup statement? Already writing great songs about it? This is so Caitlin. If it isn't her then she was in the background on the phone yelling, "remind them about them album and the tour."

I have absolutely no clue who either of these people are, but using a fresh breakup to promote an album tels me I probably won't like them.

Maybe she's related to David Crosby, or maybe she's not related to someone famous and is just famous for dating this guy. That's a stretch though cause no one seems to know either of them.

I would say, that whatever happened, I doubt it's anything close to how this statement reads.

ReplyDeleteI agree, Zach is nice (as far as I can tell). I met him at a convention in the UK - the one where he led the whole convention to the nearest Subway to do an inmpromptu 'save Chuck' event. It was hilarious. He spent a lot of time with the fans, and was a great con guest. Plus, hot! (that hat does NOT do him any favours).
But hell, who knows what he's like in private? I'm inclined to like him, but I'm not going to categorically state that he can't be a douche, just because he was great at a con. ;-)
@Genesis - lol, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I soothe myself by telling me there's a whoooole group of us who know what's up and everyone else is just clueless. ;)

ReplyDeleteI agree with ENT here totally. Sounds like he has been trying to end it and finally manned up and did it. While he is probably B- (and only that because he is the lead on a network show, she is practically nothing and saw one last gasp to get a short blurb somewhere about her album. He has always seemed like a stand-up guy and maybe she is normally nice too, but this is desparate.

ReplyDeleteShe's always rubbed me the wrong way, and I think the statement (and maybe even the photo choice) is probably intended to get back at him out of bitterness. It's not like he went public with the breakup news, even to plug Chuck the way her album is being plugged in it. He seems like a really nice guy, grateful to have his show saved by the fans and always keeping that in mind in interviews and by spending time with them. They're both pretty young and under a lot of stress and pressure, so if he's not ready to be that seriously involved, he did her a favor by ending it now instead of keeping it going just for publicity or because it would be easier.

ReplyDeleteI would have sworn Zachary was gay - saw him on the Today Show and other "live" shows promoting Chuck - sounded gay, looked gay, and did alot of talking about musical theatre. Made my gaydar ping so loud that I almost sent him a new microwave as a welcome to the family gift! (We are still giving microwaves to the gaybies, right guys?)
