Today's Blind Items
Wherever this B- list television and sometime movie actress goes she causes trouble. She goes from one show to the next rarely staying longer than five or six episodes. Great actress, HUGE ego. At first she is very pleasant and kind and within two weeks is sucking up to producers and backstabbing the other cast. She was finally given a huge role in a new network show and what has she done? Same old tricks. She wants to be the number one female on the show and will not stop saying bad things about the one female who is the bigger lead. It has got so bad that the female lead has developed a twitch in her eye when she is on the set and sees her tormentor.
Jennifer Esposito
ReplyDeletemichelle trachtenberg.
ReplyDeleteGennifer Goodwin... So EVIL!
ReplyDeletei thought of olivia wilde, but our mutual friend says she is so sweet...
ReplyDeleteNot Gennifer! Really? She looks so... cute.
ReplyDeleteI thought about hillary duff doing a lot of cameos i unno
ReplyDeleteThere are two things I hate about you: your face
ReplyDelete~not an exact quote said by Elizabeth Taylor in some movie
No clue on the actress. Claire Danes?
Betty White
ReplyDeleteJust the thought of her made me laugh. ;)
Lisa Kudrow (just to be different. I've never heard anything bad about her.)
ReplyDeleteIt's so Michelle Trachtenberg.
ReplyDeleteCurrent show: "Mercy", starring Taylor Schilling.
Episode arcs in "Gossip Girl" and "Six Feet Under".
Michelle T:
ReplyDeleteGG: 10 epi
Six feet under: 4
Robot chicken: 3
Super hero squad: 2
Appeared once on
Law and order
House
New show would then be : Mercy: 11
Nah... could be her, i guess, but she is not a great actress i dont think
Melissa George and Lindsay Price immediately came to mind.
ReplyDeleteGeorge:
- Golden Globe nominee
-"Grey's", "In Treatment," etc.
- looks like she's on 2 shows being made as per imdb
Price:
- On a ton of shows, but never the lead
Michelle Forbes
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not b/c I LOVE HER!!!
don't know who it is, but i DO know i am waaaaay too lazy to ever succeed in hollywood. being a tormentor seems like a lot of work. so does being tormented.
ReplyDeletedon't really run into too many backstabbing accountants...
Ginnifer is a regular on Big Love. No new shows I can find?
ReplyDeleteDidn't Enty reveal Michelle T. to be the answer to a blind item about an actress doing everything she could and making it clear to the producers that she expected to be the star of the show?
ReplyDeleteLast July's blinds, right? Or was she just a popular guess?
the Betty White response made me snort and laugh :0)
ReplyDeleteHeather Locklear?
ReplyDelete@ballyhoo. Love it! Probably cause math and taxes put everyone to sleep! ;)
ReplyDeleteOne problem with Michelle T: "great actress". Good actress, yes - great actress - nope.
ReplyDeleteI looked through the TV Guide New Shows Fall 2009 and the only one I could come up with that had a "great" actress in a secondary poition was The Good Wife - Julianna Margulies in the lead and Christine Baranski (great actress) who plays her boss...
I thought it was a blind item reveal that Michelle Trachtenberg was trying to take over as the star of Gossip Girl.
ReplyDeleteThis def reaks of Michelle Trachtenberg.
Apple - LOVE Mr. HeatMeister!
ReplyDeleteChristine Baranski
ReplyDeleteWhat are some new shows starting this winter? They would be well into production already.
ReplyDeleteOh I like the Christine Baranski guess.
ReplyDeleteOh come one people, it's got to be either George Wendt or Ben Affleck. (Thanks, Ryan, for adding George into the mix of obvious blind answers). :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd that would be come on, not one. D'oh!
ReplyDeleteThis definitely sounds like Christine Baranski. I remember seeing somewhere she was creating havoc on the Ugly Betty set. She also had the show with Cybil Shepard. I realize that Cybil is no stranger to controversy but I remember stories coming from that show as well. Cool show because it introduced us to Alicia Witt. Buy Alicia's album on iTunes...
ReplyDeleteKim Raver? Just signed on to Greys permanently
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not Kim Raver. I really like her. She was very good on Lipstick Jungle.
ReplyDeleteYa, I watched.
Is Rebecca Stamos O'Connell doing anything? Oh wait, it said GREAT actress. Never mind.
Heather GRaham is a sweetheart, but she visits lots of shows.
ReplyDelete@ Apple - good call
ReplyDeletehttp://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2008/07/blind-item-reveals_9542.html
I think this is Michelle, too.
I think the Michelle Trachtenberg is most likely the right guess, BUT just to add another possibility. What about Ericka Christenson for the actress with the huge ego, Lauren Graham for the lead with the twitch and the new show being Parenthood.
ReplyDeleteRebecca Romijn is a strong possibility (EASTWICK being the new show).
ReplyDeleteThe Grey's people sound really psyched to have Kim on the cast, it doesn't sound like she's causing on-set issues. In fact, it sounds like she's expected to replace Heigl. I think this is Trachtenberg.
ReplyDeleteIs Michelle Trachtenberg considered a great actress, though?
ReplyDeleteI'm on the heather locklear boat. just 'cause.
ReplyDeleteBaranski is a much better actress than Trachtenberg, but this sounds more like a stunt that a young, up-and-coming actress would pull. Even though she's talented and very attractive, I think Baranski is experienced enough with the realities of Hollywood to know that she's pretty much at that "character actress" stage of her career, and knows that she'll be playing bosses, best friends, and moms at this point in her career.
ReplyDeleteTrachtenberg on the other hand is at the beginning of her career, and wants to get on top ASAP in tv and then ride the wave to bigger feature films than she's done in the past. I can totally see her coming in to a show all innocent and wide-eyed, pretending to be all sweetness and light, all the while driving in the knife.
Christine Baranski....great actress...I can totally see her getting snarky with the cast
ReplyDeleteChristine Baranski....great actress...I can totally see her getting snarky with the cast
ReplyDeleteChristine Baranski....great actress...I can totally see her getting snarky with the cast
ReplyDeleteI hope it's not Trachtenburg, because following her feud with Asslee I was all "Rah, Team Trachtenburg!" Although, I guess nothing's stopping me from disliking them both.
ReplyDeleteMichelle Trachtenbert, Heather Locklear and Heather Graham are not great actresses. They barely qualify as good actresses.
ReplyDeleteah come on, baranski? i can't see that. first of all, she can't very well star in a show called 'the good wife'----margulies IS the good wife. i just don't buy it being her.
ReplyDeleteChristine Baranski is a GREAT actress. She also has the ego to match, from what I've read about her. Just checked her imdb page and I didn't realize just how much tv she has done.
ReplyDeletealso linnea left out that michelle tratchenburg was in buffy for several seasons so it does not fit
ReplyDeletealthough the other bi where the actress did anything to remain on the show sounded very much like her!
No, not Christine Baranski! When I was pregnant with my oldest child (back in 1995), she was good friends with my ex in-laws' best friends and I saw her all the time. She was just so sweet and nice (she would sing Broadway show tunes to my pregnant belly - lol) that I refuse to believe this is her.
ReplyDeleteRachel Even Woods being the two face and Anna Paquin being the star of Trueblood
ReplyDeleteIn no universe would Trachtenberg (who I happen to like) be described as a great actress, and I'm not sure Ent would describe Wood as a great actress.
ReplyDeleteI can't see Julianne Margulies suffering lightly while being tormented by anyone else on the show...she IS the star/main character on the show and she's not some shy kid getting her big break...
ReplyDeleteInstead of Lindsay Price, what about the other one, Jaime Ray Newman? She has a tendency to have short stints on shows.
ReplyDeleteBusy Philips
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteRebecca IS the lead on Eastwick - which has been cancelled, no? The only great actress on that show is Veronica Cartwright.
ReplyDeleteNot Christine B. There'd be no point since the show, like someone already wrote, is called "The Good Wife."
Michelle T can't act to save her life, and never will be able to. I avoid watching any show she's on She's one of the worst ever.
And that's how I really feel. ;-)
How about Kristin Bell? What's she's doing now?
Kristin Chenoweth with Glee
ReplyDeleteNo way it's Busy Phillips. Yes, she's a great actress, but she did a 2 season stint on Dawson's Creek, so I'd hardly call that a few episodes. Plus, she's not old enough to be the 'cougar' on Cougar Town.

ReplyDeleteWell Baranski does have that snooty nose in air look ;)
ReplyDelete@Judi
ReplyDeleteBell's doing only films now, except for her voiceover work in Gossip Girl; I doubt this is her.
I REALLY hope this isn't Christine Baranski. I adore her.
ReplyDeleteWhat else has Evan Rachel Woods done on television?
Wasn't Trachtenberg also a main character for THREE full seasons of Buffy?
ReplyDeleteI took Enty's post to mean that mystery actress is getting her first permanent gig.
I don't think I would consider Michelle Trachtenberg to be B-list, but maybe that's because I just don't want her to be.
ReplyDeleteIs Gennifer Goodwin really evil? I would peg her for odd, maybe, but not evil.
Catherine Dent. New show is Day One, female lead is Carly Pope.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds just like Baranski - she looks like she would make anyone nervous!
ReplyDeleteyeah, i left out buffy just cause i thought everyone knew thats where she came from! 86 episodes, or something like that

ReplyDeleteAnna Heche, "Hung"?
ReplyDeleteRose McGowan? I dont want to believe Baranski, all the problems on the 'Cybill' set were all the 'star' herself.
ReplyDeleteHow bout Heather Locklear? She has been on a bunch of shows and was supposedly the reason why Asshole Simpson was kicked off show.
ReplyDeleteBaranski is by far the best fit here. Although I do like her. I couldn't stop laughing after her bit at the end of "The Good Wife" on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThis is so Michelle Trachtenberg. First off, don't get hung up on the title of "Great actress" is a matter of opinion and might be seem like an exaggeration to those who think "great" means super famous or admired like Cate Blanchett.
ReplyDeleteMT is definitely a capable actress and has been hired on several popular TV shows to prove it: six feet under, house, robot chicken, Gossip Girl, etc. Now she is on Mercy, people wouldn't be hiring her if they thought she was crap.
I don't think Christine Baranski fits at all. She is definitely a great actress, but how exactly would she wind up with a bigger part on "The Good Wife" than Julianne Margulies? And I can't see Juliana being cowed by another actress. This is Jule's vehicle, and Christine could be easily written out.
ReplyDelete@alex - Not suprised to see Christine Baranski mentioned, sadly. She is a wonderful actress but the ego is there. A good friend of mine worked in television in the US for many years before moving back here to the UK and he did some work on the Cybill Shepherd sitcom and while he said Cybill was a little bit eccentric at times, she was not the monster he read about in some articles. When the show won some kind of award she bought everyone involved in the show a gift. He said it was Christine who put some noses out of joint, especially the crew. She was good friends with the producers though. After Moonlighting, the thought of Cybill Shepherd being the big bad wolf was a much easier fit for the tabloids.
ReplyDeleteMy vote is for Rebbecca Romaine Lettuce. She left no fans on "Ugly Betty." She has gotten bad press in Northern Cal as doing some crap like this at a party in Napa. She was flirting outrageously with a lot of the wealthy husbands. She was not so nice to the wives. She was just ONE of the stars on her now canceled shows. There were 3 lead actresses. Does anyone remember "Pepper Dennis"? Didn't think so.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Childeroland.
ReplyDeleteI stand by my opinion of Trachtenberg, and add that just because someone works does not mean they have talent. This town is chock full of examples. I'll never care who producers hire or determine to be talented; I have my own standards which are infinitely more stringent. Someone doesn't know how to do something or is bad at it, they better gtf off the stage and make room for someone who does. They get nothing from me.
Absolutely not Christine Baranski (I have some personal connections to The Good Wife).
ReplyDeleteNo one associated with Big Love either.
I like the Michelle Trachtenbert and Heather Locklear guesses. I'm leaning towards Locklear. Trachtenbert is probably just really bratty at time. I'm not sure she is powerful enough to truly "torment" a female lead costar.
Michelle Urinary Trachtenberg -- that's what I think every time I see/hear that girls name. Poor thing!
ReplyDeleteI have no clue on answer, but I hope it's not Christine.
