Susan Boyle Apologizes For Outburst At Restaurant

Susan Boyle apologized today about an outburst at a restaurant which happened the day prior to her mop singing episode in the airport. Apparently the day before Susan walked into a restaurant with her assistant and started swearing as she sometimes does. She looked at an employee of the restaurant and said, "When my boss came in with a delivery, I was sitting talking to her and Susan shouted over, 'You better not be f**king talking about me.'"

Susan was apparently upset because her assistant had just told Susan that Susan needed to go on a diet. Really? Why? I don't see the reason for her to go on a diet and this leads me to believe the assistant was actually hired and put in place by someone associated with 19 or Simon Cowell or someone in the company and not hired by Susan herself. Let the woman eat.

Her rep said that Susan sincerely apologized for the outburst.

  1. Poor SuBo. This is a woman who is built for singing in the shadows. Fame and her just don't see eye to eye. Take the money and run, girl! You have enough to buy a nice little house and live a nice life. Go before they start talking conservatorship!

  2. I think this is more then just about eating. She is an older women going out on tour. Even young men have a hard time with dealing with how hard touring is physically.

Plus I read on Britans Got Talent she would get very winded by the end of songs. She doesn't have the stamina.

I think the "assistant" is there to watch what she eats vs. actual assisting and Sue got miffed.

  3. I wasn't smitten with her when the "I dreamed a dream that dreams were dreams" video went viral, but I have grown to love her since she got angry at losing that competition. And she dropped the cd of the year, shockingly -- she needs to kick her manager to the curb if he tells her to lose weight. She is fine just the way she is.

  4. Oops, "assistant" I oughta have written.

  5. Love the woman but these outbursts aren't okay -- I'm worried they really are going to be used to lock her up in a psych ward if she can't get it under control

  6. This story doesn't really make sense to me... I had to re read the bit about who said what in the restaurant..... and really, how does anyone know what the assistant just said to Susan? Is her purse bugged by 19?

  7. LEAVE SU-BO ALOOOOOOOOOONE!!!

Seriously, she is mentally challenged and she is acting the way one would expect her to act however now there are cameras, paparazzi, and fans around to document every detail of her life. The poor woman is not equipped to deal with the sudden skyrocket to fame & success ... hell most people of average and/or above-average intelligence have a very hard time (see Lohan, Britney, Brittany Murphy, Marilyn, et al). I truly fear for her. I also believe 19 entertainment or whatever know exactly how fragile she is yet do not care in the least for her (mental) health. 19 Entertainment will continue to push her to do concerts, TV appearances, more albums, as long as she continues to rake in the dough. Susan Boyle needs someone to watch out for *her*.

  8. It's unfortunate, however she's become a "product".
With the success she's achieved she's become (please pardon the term) a "cash cow" and they (the management company who has her contract) have every intention of draining every single drop of money they can from this poor woman's ability.
I am honestly suprised that she's being allowed out in public, however the "assistant" does not suprise me. Change "assistant" to "handler" and the situation is probably closer to the truth.

  9. Well as long as she continues to sell music and people say they love Susan she'll remain visible. I personally think she's not mentally capable of handling the pressures of fame or success. I also think her handlers are exploiting her but SHE WANTS the fame so let her have it.

If she ends up in a psych ward at least she can say she's been famous. After all she could have ended up there anyway and never been famous.

  10. the exploitation needs to end. i love her, the world loves her...but for her mental health, the execs need to let her out of her contract and let her go retire. suck up your losses, record label. she's not cut out for this business.

  11. 'Outbursts'. She's an eccentric who is feeling the pressure of fame. I don't think the mop thing was out of line for an eccentric. My god, this lady was living alone with her cat, and all of a sudden she's thrust into the spotlight and being told what she can or cannot do (and eat). I think anyone in her place would be a bit out of sorts.

  13. The people of 19 fascinate me. They are masters of manipulation. Man, would I love to be a fly on the wall in their offices.
