Lots Of Health News

Sometimes there are so many babies or weddings or engagements at once they get their own post. This is the first time though there have been enough health reports to do such a thing.

Maura Tierney - At a panel for the show Parenthood, a producer for the show said that Maura " is doing well… She's doing really good. She's in treatment and I spoke to her a few weeks ago and she's doing good." Maura is in treatment after discovering a tumor in her breast. One of my all-time favorite kindness items involved Maura and since I watched it happen, it made it even more special. Love her.

Dean McDermott - If you will recall, Tori let Dean have his motorcycle back after fearing it was too dangerous. This weekend he got into an accident and bruised his scapula and another bone but kept riding anyway. Later in the weekend he was spotted wearing a sling. Of course it was all captured on tape for their show so I'm sure it will be overly dramatic and Tori will cry and he will call her mama and then ask her where her checkbook is.

Ethan Zohn - Ethan is cancer free again. He hopes to go home from the hospital this week. Even when he goes home, his girlfriend Jenna Morasca said that he will have to be in isolation for the next three months. Hey, they can watch Survivor. I'm really glad Ethan is doing well.

Dennis Hopper - News Of The World says Dennis Hopper is close to death. They say his prostate cancer has spread to his bones and he only has a few days to live. I hate death watch kind of stories so this will be the last one of these. If it is true, let the man be in peace.

  5. I hope the Dennis Hopper item isn't true. And I also wish them all a speedy recovery, though Dean McDermott will probably end up killing himself on that motorcycle anyway...

I just found out my aunt's bone cancer is back, so I'm kinda depressed about all this. :/

  12. What what the kindness item for Maura Tierney? I would like to read it as it must have been before I started following this site. I read that she was returning to do some stage work.
She lost her father to cancer last year.

  17. The Maura kindness blind from March 8, 2007 and revealed in July 2007.

Last weekend at the poker tournament this B list actress who has been in two hit shows back to back was all kindness. An elderly man was getting up from his table and was struggling to get all of his chips together and his belongings while also keeping his balance. While this was going on, a group of four 20 something guys were playing grab ass with each other and just being asses in general ran into the elderly man. Our actress rushed to give aid to the elderly man whose chips and belongings had scattered beneath tables and chairs while at the same time unleashing a string of obscenities at the gang of four. When she unleashed her verbal tirade, it also caused the other players at the man's table to stop ignoring the situation and start helping. The gang of four looked sheepish and embarrassed but still did not help. The other players and our actress gathered the chips and belongings of the elderly man and our actress helped him to his feet and the other side of the casino where he was meeting his ride home. She stayed with him until she was sure he was fine and had cashed in his winnings.

  18. I know someone who knows Dennis Hopper and he is very, very, very concerned for his friend. He expressed his concern yesterday or the day before so I knew things were not good at all. :-(

One thing I will say is that nobody can say that Dennis Hopper didn't lead a full life, right? Still, it's sad to see him decline.

  21. I am sad about Dennis. He always seems so cool and he is one of the Hollywood set I would have loved to talk to. Especially about him knowing James Dean.
    Get well Dennis.

    Please don't let 2010 be like 2009.

  28. I hope Dennis Hopper is really not that ill, I have several uncles with prostrate cancer and it's considered a slow growing cancer for most men. The Uncles all ended up living normal lives for the most part. So I hope that's really the truth in his case too.

I stayed at a hotel in Seattle for the holiday's and they had a board in the lobby with a bunch of names on it, one was Dennis Hopper, it turns out the hotel takes dogs and puts their names on the board - Dennis Hopper is a chocolate Labrador who gives very wet kisses. Who knew?

  29. I hated reading about Dennis Hopper getting sick. He is the definition of cool to me. :(
Only 73 too...but I guess a early life of hard partying can really take its toll later.
    I wish him the best.
