"Lost" Premiere To Be Delayed A Week?
It turns out the countdown to the "Lost" season premiere may have to be lengthened by a week. The White House has not decided when President Obama's State Of The Union speech is going to be held. Currently they are trying to decide between January 26th and February 2nd. If they pick February 2nd, it means the two hour premiere of the show will be pushed back to February 9th. Considering about 20M viewers will probably watch the season premiere, The White House may want to go ahead and pencil in January 26th for the speech. 20M people can write a whole bunch of e-mails.
I didn't realize that many people still watched Lost.
ReplyDeleteActually, the WH is trying to decide between pissing off American Idol viewers (1/26) and Lost viewers (2/2). Supposedly, the Losties are losing.
ReplyDeleteThis is NOT okay. Obama, I'm one of your biggest supporters, don't fuck with me! ;)
ReplyDeleteNooooooo!!!!!! Screw over American Idol! I need my LOST back. I need it! Stupid State of the Union.
ReplyDeleteI've waited long enough for the goddamn season premiere of this show! (Not that I don't respect the prez, I'm sure it's important...?)
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised the date for the speech wasn't penciled in a long, long time ago. It comes around every year. Heck, 2011 should already be on the calendar.
ReplyDeleteBooo....I watch both shows but they can bump Idol.
ReplyDeleteI'm Canadian so I could care less about the president. Give me LOST!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm just kidding. I fully respect the work the president is doing.
A television show takes priority over the State of the Union address?
ReplyDeleteGood grief.
What Mooshki and Jingle Belle said!!
ReplyDeleteFirst Obama messes up the Charlie Brown Christmas special, and now he's set his sights on LOST??
ReplyDeleteOMG, somebody impeach this schmuck.
I can assure you, this has nothing to do with concern over pissing off fans of Lost or any other show.
ReplyDeleteThe date was decided long ago, however circumstances around national security, foreign relations or delivery on a huge policy issue would cause them to reconsider the date.
Ugh, I have been waiting so long for Lost to start again. It just figures that this would happen. just like every year when they say they will broadcast the entire season without a hiatus. It never happens.
ReplyDeleteWell, I hope they pick the 26th for the speech, but if they do decide on the 2nd, I suppose I can wait for lost until the 9th.
ReplyDeleteBut I am not going to be happy about it.
OMG! NOOOOO!! I'm already in withdrawl.
ReplyDeleteI can see a lot of gatecrashers at the next WH function and everyone of them a LOST fan. :)
Hell to the No!
ReplyDeletei'm with amazonblue.
ReplyDeleteseriously...
I'm Canadian and even I know how important the State of the Union address is. Geez
ReplyDeleteWell, OK, Obama can have the timeslot - as long as he doesn't give away any Lost spoilers! ;-)
