Lost - Last Supper Photos
I was going to post these in Random Photos today, but decided they needed their own post so we could discuss them. Notice how everyone is looking at Locke in the first picture, but in the second they are all facing the camera. Sayid and Hurley have skulls at their feet. Death? Also, notice there are some wrinkles on Richard's face. Interesting. Discuss. 27 more days until the premiere.
Battlestar Galactica used a last supper motif for their promotional photos last year. Lost needs some new marketing people.
ReplyDeleteSO EXCITED.
ReplyDeleteSo excited for LOST! How can I see these bigger? I click on them but they come up in a different screen but the same size. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteMust see more detail. I don't like the idea of Sayid or Hurley dying.
I am getting a new HDTV before the premiere of Lost. It's my new mission!
ReplyDeleteWhat does it all MEAN? Spoilers please...I absolutely can't wait....
ReplyDeletecan't
ReplyDeletebreathe!
LOVE it!!
John is totally going to shock everyone and I am so excited.
I absolutely refused to watch Lost for years but my BF literally made me watch the first episode and I went through the entire 5 seasons in about 5 weeks. Thats a whole lotta Lost!
miss..My BF did somewhat the same thing...after he got into it well after it started...Now I watch it every week....CANNOT WAIT!
ReplyDeleteOh Lost - you teasing bitches!
ReplyDeleteMiss, I was just like you. So hooked. We stayed "up way past bedtime" and even snuck home for long lunches to get caught up.
ReplyDeleteThe first season was so good.
I just got so confused by the plot lines that I had to give it up. However, I will probably watch the finale. It certainly was interesting the first season and I know it will be missed by millions.
ReplyDeletesunnyside- i'm worried about you: you might be super confused...gotta catch up on what you missed before you watch the last season!
ReplyDeletecan't wait...
is someone in the picture supposed to be "judas?" just wondering...
I cannot wait for this to come back on. I just blew through S5 last week and it left me jonesing for more.
ReplyDeleteokay, so Kate is supposed to be Mary Magdalene, is Syid supposed to be Judas??
ReplyDeleteThe hubby and I didn't start watching it until in between season 4 & 5 and once we did, we were hooked! It's an awesome show and I can't wait for the final season.
ReplyDeleteJohn Locke is the man! I wonder if the writers for his name from the philosopher/physician?
This is my absolute favorite TV show!!! Can't wait!!
ReplyDeletelol @ long lunches! I love it
ReplyDeleteThe blond looks like Claire!!! And I'm so excited Lapidus is in the picture. Just wish Desmond was.
ReplyDeleteI can't enlarge the picture to see more detail...but February 2, can't come soon enough!
The entire show is one long game of backgammon, so with these pics... wonder what's up.
ReplyDeleteRumour has it that the very final scene was shot when the show first started, to make sure all actors would look the same as they did when they first crashed on that island in the first episode. I can't even go to lostpedia.com anymore because I end up on the forums for hours reading possible spoilers and plot theories.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I had a PVR installed for the sole purpose of recording this show, as it's going to be on Tuesday nights when I rehearse with my chorus.
ReplyDeleteI only bother with cable during LOST seasons and this year I have HD too! If anyone wants to read a great column dissecting these pics and LOST theories (not spoilers) check our Doc Jensen on ew.com.
ReplyDeleteSo what does it mean when some of the players switch places at the dinner table?
ReplyDeleteI think it means that different characters play a different significance in different timelines. I feel a little bit crazy when I think about it *LOL*
ReplyDeleteI try not to think about it too hard, because it hurts. I just enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that Sayid is in the Judas seat. I've been trying to find a bigger picture and have stumbled on comparisons and theories and the such. I try to stay away from spoilers too - even though I want to know, I really love waiting to see.
ReplyDeleteDoc Jensen makes my head hurt! :-)
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait! February is too far away. I've never been so sucked into a show before. I tried to force my parents to watch and got them the first 2 seasons for Christmas to get them started...
ReplyDeleteAm off to Google these photos....
Lame rip off of Battlestar Galactica's final season photo.
ReplyDeleteGod i miss BSG.
This show has mesmerized me since it first aired. I LOVE it. I won't answer the phone when it's on.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until Groundhog Day because no matter what the large rodent sees I will be seeing LOST that night.
well people changing places means no more skull for hurley...
ReplyDeleteHoly BSG rip-off...
ReplyDeleteI'd say Kate's actually in the Judas position. Sawyer is in the John/Mary position.
ReplyDeleteSawyer (John), Sayid (Peter) and Jin (James Major) could represent Locke's Inner 3 (Jesus 3 closest friends).
Harriet Hellfire, I like your idea that the position change means they play different roles in different timelines.
Please don't kill Hurley!
I can't wait for Lost to start again!
All I have to say is: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a BSG rip off. Lost has always made philosophical and religious references; more so that BSG. I would argue that at least Lost is using the picture to make a point about the show they have been making almost since the beginning, and not just using a famous picture for the sake of using a famous picture (as other TV shows have done).
ReplyDeleteBeyond that, the position that Jack is in is of Thomas the doubter. This isn't the first time that reference has been made; they made that on the show a long while back.

ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that Locke is in the same place in both pictures. On a different poster, there are hieroglyphs inside the show's name, and I read somewhere that they read "who is the leader?" or "who is the guide?". I think that's going to be the big question in the last season, who was right, the man of science (Jack) or the man of faith (John Locke), or is the true leader in fact someone completely different, like Sawyer or even Hurley?
ReplyDeleteOMG.
Oh and it may very well be a BSG reference. This show draws references and clues from a vast variety of sources. There have been a lot of references to Star Trek and Star Wars already.
ReplyDeleteHH, I love your rabid fangirl enthusiasm! I'm really into the show like you would not believe. Really. It's embarrassing. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to throw this in, and ignore the email, its random
ReplyDeleteBut the skulls by Sayid and Hurley could just represent the women they lost to the Island, the ones they were in love with.
