Jersey Shore Cast Will Get Their Raises

regardless of whether you have seen Jersey Shore or not you can appreciate this. For the season that just concluded, each cast member received a few hundred dollars per episode. Well, showing they are unified, the entire cast wants a raise to $10,000 per episode. Ridiculous? In terms of real life, of course it is ridiculous. In terms of television stupid money it is a sure thing. MTV might be acting all tough but they know they will back down and pay the cast their money. Why? Ratings. Almost all of the cast members of The Hills get paid at least $100K an episode. Their ratings are significantly less than that of Jersey Shore. So, get ready for lots more Jersey Shore and they will have lots more money in their pockets. Plus, Jwoww already has a new fashion line based on the tops she barely wears and she has a Playboy offer. She better hurry up though because someone is trying to sell naked photos of her that she took previously. (I know. Shocker!)

  1. I am probably going to be soundly thrashed for this, but........I actually watched every episode.
I know, I know, I'm contributing to the moral decline of our civilization, yada yada yada......
    I just couldn't help myself.

  2. Why? I watched one episode and did not understand the appeal. Oh shoot - that means I"m getting old, right?

  3. I've caught a couple episodes but fail to see the appeal. Their personalities/personas are just way out of my comfort zone.

That said, I kinda adore Jwow after watching her trying to part the bar crowd like the red sea in order to defend Snooki/Snickers from the PE teacher who hit her.

  6. Yay.

I fell in love with this show late at night when there was nothing to do or watch so I watched them all online. Good for drama and crazy antics. Not something you should take seriously, they dont take themselves seriously.

Maybe Sammie the fake sweetheart does but thats about it. The situation knows hes an idiot and tries to hide it lol

    Proud fan!!

  7. I'd rather watch my fellow guidettes than the stupid twats on The Hills any day.

  8. Actually, if I had to watch a reality show, The Hills would be last on my list.

  11. I'd take The Hills over The Jersey Shore. I have mixed feelings for Jersey which creates a rather huge bias in havor of The Hills.

  12. I grew up in Staten Island, so I grew up with a lot of this trash. Why they are being rewarded for their asinine behavior is beyond me. I ran away from that place SCREAMING, the second I graduated High School. There is no way in hell I will revisit that nightmare by watching this crap.

  13. I don't think they are asking for a lot. MTV makes a lot of them and compared to what other reality stars make they are not asking for a lot.

  14. From a purely marketing aspect - if MTV made lots of money from this show, why shouldn't those imbeciles get a cut?

And once againm they do NOT represent New Jersey. Not South Jersey, anyway.

  15. I don't plan on watching the show, and everything I read about the "stars" is trash. That being said, I think they have every right to demand more money. They are pretty hot right now and bringing a big audience to MTV. So IMO, MTV should compensate them for this present.

  16. the show is stupid, but if people are tuning in they deserve to be paid. If mtv wants to continue with the same group of idiot bores they will pay.

  17. Snooki will NOT age well. Trust me on this one, y'all!

  18. MTv is making money, and so should they. Look at them. Let them get it while they can.

  19. Before the show started, what occupations did these clowns have in real life?

  20. I am going to fucking lose my shit. That fact that these no talent, society embarrassing, shit for brains, lethargic with entitlement asshats make an effing dime off of anything is both ridiculous and offensive.

  21. Snooki may do interviews on the red carpet at the Grammy's. I'd watch that.

  22. Im slightly ashamed I know this

Snooki was a vet tech or a nurse to a tech vet. Pauly d is a dj.

Fudge I cant remember but they all had jobs before the show, now not so much. They just make appearances

  24. Here I thought working through college to earn two degrees was a smart choice. Now I'm facing a layoff this year and these twats are making serious money by just being twatty.

  25. @parissucksliterally - if it's any consolation, the one kid from Staten Island (Vinny) is the one that was the most down to earth. A non-tanning non-guido whose Mom showed up for a visit with trays of food and homemade gravy. He was so non-descript, they practically edited him out after the pink eye incident, because he had no antics to exploit. Seemed like a nice kid.

  26. good for them. whether you like them or not.MTV is making SHIT loads of money off them,so why not get paid?
the show is so fucking bad,its good all over again.

  27. I hope Snookie upgrades her fug tan Coach bag to something more fabulous like a Gucci or Prada.

I don't watch Jersey Shore, but I did catch Snookie on Wendy Williams last week. I don't get the appeal, but tons of people I know watch and yes, I'm from New Jersey.

I'd have to agree. If mtv is making money they might as well reap the rewards.

I watched once and that was too much.

  30. I read and heard on Chelsea Lately that they banded together "like the cast of FRIENDS" to get higher salaries. HAHAHAHA

I still have not watched a single episode but plan to...my friends in Jersey have been very quiet on this show.
